My cousin went to study in the United States when he was very young. He got his MBA from Wharton Business School, and when he was job searching, he received quite a few offers.
Once during a conversation, he mentioned that, after graduating, he wanted to choose a place to work where there were lots of beautiful women.
However, he regretfully added that he hadn’t been accepted to the investment banking division at UBS and Barclays, where the most beautiful women were.
So, whether you knew it beforehand or not, your future was going to be in an environment filled with beautiful women.
No need to elaborate on that point anymore.
To explain is to cover up, to cover up is to feel guilty, and to feel guilty is to have done something wrong.
Considering that you received your offer before you became my accessory, I’ll forgive you temporarily and provisionally.
So, you were going to do data research in an investment bank.
Although I didn’t know anyone who worked as a data analyst in investment banking before, I’ve heard that research personnel are the most valuable assets in an investment bank.
Impressive, right?
I originally thought that financial data analysts mostly came from finance backgrounds, but it turns out that it’s actually dominated by those who study mathematics. freewebnøvel.com
Then you probably don’t have to work overtime like investment managers and be a frequent flyer.

When we were in Melbourne, I told you about my future life plans; what are your plans for the future?
.........
Regarding whether or not to let Yan Yan take over the company, Yan Dabang and his wife tend to respect Yan Yan’s own choices.
That’s also why Yan Dabang and Lu Bingran didn’t care what major Yan Yan chose in university and let her do whatever she pleased as long as she was happy.
However, at the end of this year, Yan Yan would graduate with her master’s degree, and no matter how hands-off they were, it was time to have a conversation with their daughter about her future plans.
A debt of one hundred million wouldn’t fundamentally hurt Yanlu Shoe Machine, and the company’s deputy general manager was good at collections, so they might recover a portion of the debts.
But whether Yan Yan would take the position of "factory manager" at Yanlu Machinery needed to be decided this year.
This issue was much more important than this year’s receivables.
That’s why the Yan couple decided to visit Melbourne this year to see their daughter’s life and understand her true feelings.
If Yan Yan decided to stay in Melbourne, then in the coming year, they would need to start handling the transfer of the company and land domestically to prepare for immigration.
The Yan couple had always entertained the idea of emigrating, which is why they had suggested Melbourne, rated as the world’s most livable city, when Yan Yan wanted to study abroad.
Originally, the matter of emigration should have been brought up when Yan Yan went to study abroad.
Yan Yan went to Xiamen University and chose broadcast and television journalism as her major, clearly indicating that she didn’t want to inherit Yanlu Machinery.
However, once Yan Yan arrived in Melbourne, the first major she chose was Mechanical System.
Yan Yan’s parents felt that their daughter might have changed her initial intentions and was preparing to return to Wenzhou after graduation to work in machinery.
But Yan Yan progressed through her studies much quicker than her parents expected, and the speed at which she changed majors left them unable to keep up.
It was only when her parents began to think their daughter might come back to inherit Yanlu Machinery within a couple of years that Yan Yan shifted gears again and started studying for a Master of Fashion.
Yan Dabang and his wife were a bit confused about what was going on in Yan Yan’s mind.
About such a significant decision concerning the future, Yan Dabang and Lu Bingran didn’t think it was appropriate to discuss over the phone.
Therefore, the couple decided to spend the New Year in Melbourne.
Yan Yan was especially happy to pick up her parents at the airport, but her words carried a slight tone of complaint:
"This year you guys wrapped up work so early, it’s almost like the sun is rising from the west! Didn’t you usually have to work overtime chasing orders at the factory right up until New Year’s Eve, and you two were always out collecting debts?"
"With Mom and Dad coming all the way to Melbourne to see you, why do you still look so unhappy?" Yan Dabang watched his daughter, who was complaining, with a doting gaze.
"Because I’m the boss," Yan Yan quickly dropped her complaints and happily walked between her parents.
After starting high school, not only did Yan Yan’s personality change at school, but it also changed at home.
When Yan Yan was little, she didn’t have a particularly close relationship with her parents.
Her relationship with her parents was average, even a bit distant.
The Yan couple was always so busy they hardly had any time to foster a bond with their daughter.
By the time Yan Yan was in high school, Yanlu Shoe Machine was on a fast track to development.
The Yan couple started to be less busy and no longer worked so much that they barely had time to speak with their daughter.
From elementary school to junior high, Yan Yan, being targeted at school, seldom spoke, and it wasn’t much better when she got home.
Parents who support their high school children dating have always been in the minority.
Her parents’ explicit support for Yan Yan’s relationship with Qi Yi was an important turning point that quickly warmed up the family relationship.
Yan Yan had never imagined her parents would take such an open stance on her early romance.
Moreover, in high school, once she was no longer targeted by classmates, Yan Yan’s personality gradually became more outgoing.
While other teens began to rebel, Yan Yan instead became a "friend" to her parents, with whom she could talk about anything.
When Yan Yan and Qi Yi broke up, she acted as if nothing was wrong at school, but back at home, it was her mother who comforted her.
The formation of Yan Yan’s current personality couldn’t have happened without the confidence Qi Yi’s love gave her, nor without her family’s support during that period of "early romance."
"Mom, Qi Yi came to Melbourne a couple of days ago," Yan Yan reported a significant recent change in her life.
"Your high school class monitor? Didn’t you say you lost touch with him after he went to Peking University?" Her mom expressed surprise at Yan Yan’s update.
"Yeah, we hadn’t been in touch, but he suddenly showed up in Melbourne a few days ago, and we bumped into each other," Yan Yan continued.
"What a coincidence, did your class monitor come to study in Melbourne too?" Her mom asked, full of surprise.
"It’s not really a coincidence; Qi Yi said he came to Melbourne specifically to find me. He’s studying in the United States now, at Stanford University," Yan Yan answered each of Lu Bingran’s questions, her tone carrying a tinge of pride.
"Did you give him your address?" Her mom felt Yan Yan must not have told the truth before, wondering how he could suddenly find her without that.
"No, oh, I don’t know how he suddenly appeared in front of me. Qi Yi’s visit was so sudden, I still haven’t thought to ask him how he found me," Yan Yan suddenly realized she hadn’t asked Qi Yi.
"Where is he now? Are you planning to bring him to meet me and your dad later, or what?" Lu Bingran asked Yan Yan.
"He stayed in Melbourne for a day and then went back to his country to celebrate the New Year," Yan Yan felt a bit dismayed.
"Has he graduated yet?" Her mom asked another question.
"Not yet, he has one semester left. When he returns to the United States after the New Year, he should be getting ready to graduate," Yan Yan explained Qi Yi’s current situation.
Her mom didn’t quite understand things like investment banking, so Yan Yan didn’t specify which company Qi Yi was going to work for.
"So, what did he want to see you about?" This was what really piqued Yan Yan’s mom’s curiosity.
"What else would Qi Yi want from me? To date, of course. What else, to urge me to turn in homework?" Yan Yan cheekily responded.
Yan Yan thought her mother would scold her for being shameless, but instead, Lu Bingran slowly chimed in:
"I thought he came to ask you to go to the library together."
