While the Nightman dealt with the Nightmare and the Null, Daniel and the other Nightmen shot towards the surface.

For the first time in their lives, they saw the Earth's surface and the Sun.

Their perceptions immediately stretched across the entire planet.

'What a shithole,' Daniel thought as he saw the dead wasteland that was Earth.

He saw a couple of Protectors and even a couple of Shields looking in his direction.

Their perceptions didn't reach Daniel and the Nightmen, but the sheer weight of the Nightmen's power was unmissable.

To powerful Extractors, it was almost like another Sun had appeared on Earth.

'We need them for their Zephyx,' Daniel thought.

"The Nightmare is dead. Go into the underground so that you don't die to all of the Star Energy that's about to flood the surface," he transmitted to all the Extractors.

At the same time, Daniel looked at Nurse Alice.

Nurse Alice felt an unimaginably powerful perception locking onto her.

"Stay underground. We need you to make Zephyx in the future," Daniel transmitted with a smirk.

Compared to all of the humans, who were frozen in shock, Nurse Alice immediately complied and went underground.

Meanwhile, the Chief Illusionists locked onto Daniel and the Nightmen.

Then, they activated the Sun's defenses.

The Sun brightened and gathered a lot of energy.

Daniel looked up with annoyance.

"Shut up," he muttered as he casually swung his sword upward.

CRACK!

The image of the Sun was cut into two pieces.

The next moment, the gathered Energy inside the Sun turned chaotic.

BOOOOM!

A gigantic explosion occurred above Daniel and the Nightmen, swiftly enveloping them.

The explosion created a crater that was almost 20 kilometers deep.

"A bit toasty here," Daniel transmitted to the other Nightmen inside the explosion.

The others just chuckled in response.

Meanwhile, the Chief Illusionists lost all visuals.

None of the Sun's functions worked anymore.

This could only mean one thing.

The Sun was dead.

The humans had destroyed it, and compared to last time, it had been much easier for them.

Without the Sun's functions, its stability vanished.

The sky turned transparent, and all the humans in the streets could see glass-like shards appearing in the sky.

However, since the Sun was a machine made of energy, the shards simply turned into a mix of Star Energy and Prephyx, which scattered across Earth.

The entire world had transformed as the Sun vanished.

Half of the humans found themselves surrounded by even more light, while half of them found themselves in almost complete darkness.

Night and day returned.

Terror took hold of the normal people since they didn't know what was going on.

A moment later, a mix of Star Energy and Prephyx washed across the world.

90% of the Shields and Protectors hadn't reacted to Daniel's words and had been frozen in shock.

The Star Energy washed over them.

At this moment, the humans on the surface didn't even know what Star Energy was, and they didn't know what it meant to be surrounded by it.

The Star Energy entered through their Zephyx channels, and all the Zephyx inside their body was turned into Star Energy.

Almost at the same time, the Extractors turned into dried husks before collapsing.

All of them would be dead within a couple of seconds.

'Idiots! Should've just listened,' Daniel thought with a snort.

Then, he looked at the dark sky above him.

Naturally, the Nightmen appeared on the side of the Earth, which was dark and facing the moon.

Daniel could see the moon with his terrifying perception, and he could see a couple of distant and tiny aliens scurrying around on its surface.

At the same time, he also saw the two Generals rapidly moving towards Earth.

They would be here within less than a second.

Of course, the other Nightmen also took note of the Generals, and when they saw them, they frowned.

'Nick didn't exaggerate,' Daniel thought. 'They are powerful.'

The threat Daniel felt when looking at the Generals was incredibly high.

Fighting them felt almost pointless.

Daniel was sure of one thing.

In a one-on-one battle, he would not win against either of them.

'Yeah, well. It's too late now,' he thought. 'Just gotta hope I survive.'

Daniel looked at the other Nightmen, who also started to feel a bit apprehensive.

Then, he smirked.

"Watch this," he said.

The next moment, Daniel pointed his sword upward.

BOOOOM!

A beam of black light shot out of his sword.

The nimble one of the two Generals shifted to the left, easily avoiding the beam.

"Idiot," Daniel transmitted to the General.

On the moon, Nick was watching one of the Chief Engineers rushing toward the antimatter laser.

'It is time,' he thought.

And then…

BOOOOM!

A black beam of light hit the Chief Engineer, and a terrifying explosion consumed it.

Nick's eyes widened in shock and horror.

He needed that Chief Engineer to open the fleshy cave leading to the antimatter laser!

Of course, Nick recognized that black beam.

'Daniel!' he thought.

Meanwhile, on Earth, Daniel broke out into laughter. "I got him!"

"Nice shot!" the other Nightmen transmitted, their mood lightening a bit.

Daniel had sniped a single alien from a distance of over 300,000 kilometers.

The next instant, the Generals received new orders.

"Kill all the humans! Use any means necessary!"

"Safety is of higher importance than the generator's continued existence!"

The two Generals stopped moving forward and looked at Earth.

Then, one of the hands of the bigger General transformed into something that looked like a cannon.

Pure Energy gathered inside the cannon.

And then…

BOOOOOOM!

A terrifying beam of green energy shot forward.

"Fuck! Attack!" Daniel transmitted to everyone, and they charged towards the Generals.

The green beam of energy flew past them.

Just like Daniel's attack, they had not been the target.

The green beam hit Europe.

BOOOOOM!

From the moon, Nick watched in horror as he saw Europe being consumed by an explosion.

This explosion was at least a thousand kilometers wide!

Calculations shot through Nick's mind, and he knew one thing for sure.

Every single human that wasn't inside Starbreaker Base or was a Nightman would not survive.

The attack completely destroyed the atmosphere, and within minutes, all the air on the planet would reach several hundred degrees.

The planet itself was still intact, but all the light on the surface would vanish.

The only good thing was that the beam hadn't hit Starbreaker Base.

It was clear that the aliens no longer cared about Earth.

They would deal with the humans, no matter what they had to sacrifice.

An instant later, the two sides encountered each other in space, and the actual battle began.
