Infinite Wealth System: Crazy Tasks, Insane Rewards!-Chapter 35: Emily Kingsley
Chapter 35: Emily Kingsley
Jayden saw what he wanted to see, and his brain almost popped out of his skull the moment Temi gave such an approach.
At 100% rate in her affection bar, she was now completely changed. Her love went from soft to hard, like a harsh yandere heroine guarding her man from the world.
That was literally what she was doing, and she was acting like she would do it the hard way, for love.
’What have I done?’ Jayden questioned himself.
Later that day, Jayden decided to figure out a way to reduce the affection. The system had initially stated that strong affection would only be triggered at 100%.
Jayden believed he could bring it down to at least five less, since Temi’s idea was really a bad one.
He clearly understood what she meant...
She was basically going to be around him in his everyday activity and had even voiced her completely shrunk interest in other men in the world.
Somehow, it appeared funny as it could be just a ridiculous warning, but at the same time, it was like a promised warning.
The system had been making sure that every progress in her affection counts, and it was deeply soaring into her heart.
Jayden had never seen or witnessed a woman loving her man completely and showing it in the very best of ways... But now, you’re welcome to see what the Infinite Wealth System did.
"How can I reduce it real quick? You know this would trouble the harem progress," Jayden asked the system.
> [Simple, you just have to do something that would make her love you less, at least a little reduction. Something that reaches the heart.]
"Things like what?" Jayden wanted clarification.
> [It’s on you. The idea of increasing her affection to 100% by taking her shopping never came from me.]
Jayden rolled his eyes in slight disappointment but nodded. "Right. I mess this up, I fix it."
It took Jayden quite a while to figure something out, and he even had to wait till the next day before he could carry out the plans.
Though he wasn’t sure what damage it could make, he still decided to make his move.
The next day, when he was set to head to lecture, as the lady deeply in love, Temi insisted that she would come with Jayden to the campus and wait somewhere until he was done.
Love was already making her ridiculous.
Though at that point, he didn’t argue and just nodded. It was when they were having breakfast that Jayden tried shooting his shot.
"Ughh... Why does this egg taste like mud?" Jayden spoke, drawing her attention.
At that point, Temi froze.
This was the first time Jayden was complaining about her meal, and it indeed had surprised her.
She quickly rushed over from the kitchen, noticing Jayden faking a disdainful look while wiping his mouth. Though she definitely didn’t know if he was faking it or not.
"It tastes very bad," Jayden added.
With a faint look suddenly emerging on her face, she took a cut from the egg and chewed. For a moment, she didn’t say a word or make a clear reaction.
And when she did...
"It tastes fine. What’s wrong with you?" Temi’s cheek tightened.
"It’s not tasting fine. It tastes so bad, Temi. I feel like throwing up now," Jayden lied, but his acting was good.
Temi’s jaw dropped.
She had taken her time to prepare a good meal, just like she had always done and hadn’t gotten any complaints from him.
Now, he was saying this?
"Fine. I’ll make another," Temi grabbed the plate with a dull look on her face and headed back into the kitchen.
Her reactions could tell she felt heartbroken after what he just did.
But really, Jayden had to do this. He had learned that getting any harem member to 100% affection was not a great idea.
Thanks to this experiment on Temi... Now he knows his next moves on other girls.
[Harem member Temi Grace has an update on the Affection bar.]
[Affection: 98%]
[Note that this reduction is only affected by anger. It might return to 100% later on.]
"To hell with it... Let’s just make her mad for the time being."
Jayden even left for lecture without eating the second meal she prepared. This was to try taking the affection a little lower than 98. However, that move didn’t work as it still remained the same.
But...
He knew he had saddened the woman that loves him so much, even though it was what he had to do... his strategy.
Now he understood.
He must get every woman in his harem to over 60% affection, but he should dare not take them to the peak... 100%.
"I’ll get you a flower when getting back, my love," Jayden said inwardly before leaving.

The soft afternoon sun cast golden rays over the neatly trimmed hedges of the Kingsley Manor garden. A faint breeze stirred the fountain in the center, where dragonflies hovered lazily above the water.
Royce Kingsley stood near the iron gazebo, clad in a black fitted shirt, arms crossed, jaw tight. His phone sat idle in his hand, but he hadn’t touched it in ten minutes.
He had just finished a meeting with one of his father’s advisors when he heard hurried footsteps approaching from behind.
"Royce!" a voice called out, sharp, worried, and unmistakably familiar.
He turned to see Emily Kingsley, his younger sister, rushing toward him, her chestnut hair bouncing behind her. She was still in her academy uniform, bag slung over one shoulder, eyes wide.
"Have you heard from Luka?" she asked as she stopped in front of him, breathing hard. "He’s not picking my calls. He’s not even responding to my messages. What’s going on with him?"
Royce’s gaze darkened instantly. He looked away, shaking his head once, slowly.
"He’s done," Royce said curtly. "He’s no longer part of my life."
Emily’s brows furrowed, her face suddenly turning dark. "What do you mean?"
"I mean," Royce said, voice low but cold, "he’s not my friend anymore. He betrayed me. Us."
There was tense silence at that instant. Birds chirped in the trees behind them, unaware of the storm brewing in the garden.
Emily blinked. "No. No, that’s... that’s impossible. Luka wouldn’t do that."
Royce looked at her now, really looked at her, as if disappointed that she was still so naive, as his face was holding a sense of slight disdain.
He was already getting his head out of the embarrassment Luka gave him in class today and didn’t just want Emily to make him remember any bit of it.
"He already did."
Emily stepped forward. "Betrayed how? You’re not even making sense. He’s your best friend. He’s always been loyal to you, Royce. Always!"
Royce exhaled sharply, jaw tightening. "Luka came into the class today and snubbed me. That’s aside... Our father’s been watching their movements. Luka’s father is preparing a power shift, something underhanded. Something dangerous. Luka knew. And he kept quiet."
Emily’s mouth fell open. "You can’t seriously think Luka would go against us. Against you like that."
"I don’t think, Emily. I know."
"You’re wrong," she snapped, tears slowly brimming in her eyes. "He would never do something like that. You’ve been like brothers since you were kids..."
"That’s enough!" Royce’s voice cracked like thunder across the quiet garden. "Don’t defend him to me."
Emily flinched.
"You don’t know him the way I do anymore," Royce continued. "He changed. He’s not the same Luka you knew. And you need to stay away from him."
"No," she said, lips trembling. "I don’t believe it. You’re angry. You’re lashing out. But Luka—"
"I SAID STAY AWAY!" Royce shouted again, stepping forward as his eyes flashed. His hand twitched, a sharp, sudden jerk as though it might rise.
Emily instinctively backed up, her breath catching in her throat.
For one painful second, it looked like Royce might actually raise his hand to her.
However, it was then that a voice rang out from behind.
"Enough."
Both siblings turned.
Their father, Gregory Kingsley, stood near the archway of the garden path. Tall. Commanding. Calm in the way that only powerful men could afford to be.
"Royce," he said, voice quiet but firm, "don’t ever raise your hand against your sister."
Royce looked away, his face almost turning red as he glared at Emily, who was visibly still broken by what was going on.
Gregory walked forward slowly, his polished shoes crunching lightly on the gravel. "You’re angry. I understand. But that’s not how we discipline our blood."
Royce hesitated and gave a tight nod, though his face never brightened, but he kept his eyes lowered.
"And you, my dear, need to stop assuming your brother is a fool," Gregory then turned to Emily, his tone softening, but only slightly.
Emily swallowed hard, and then forced herself to give a nod of approval. That was one of the ways to show that she was listening.
Their father was a stern man who didn’t tolerate indiscipline.
"I’ve spent the last month reviewing everything Silas Vane has been doing behind the scenes," Gregory continued. "Royce didn’t speak lightly. We’ve confirmed the betrayal."
Emily blinked rapidly. "But... Luka..."
"He chose a side," Gregory interrupted. "And it wasn’t ours."
The weight of those words settled between them like smoke.
Emily shook her head, unable to stop the tears that began sliding down her cheeks.
Gregory didn’t even act like he cared about it and only sighed.
"Be obedient," he added, brushing a hand against her shoulder. "Your brother’s not just speaking as your sibling anymore. He’s speaking as the heir to this family. And that title doesn’t come without reason."
Emily didn’t answer. She couldn’t.
And Gregory just had to take it upon himself that she had listened and wouldn’t continue being stupid.
After that, he turned to Royce. "Come. We have more to discuss inside."
Royce gave one last glance at his sister... Not cruel, not distant, but full of anger that refused to be spoken aloud.
There, Emily stood, sobbing her eyes out...
She loved Luka so much, as they had been together for more than a year.
She couldn’t believe this was happening, had to be straight, she couldn’t let it happen.
She went straight to her room and grabbed her bag, changed into something different, and headed out, entering her Bugatti Centodieci and pulling off right after.
"I’m not leaving you, Luka," she declared.
