Infinite Range: The Sniper Mage-Chapter 460 - : Fallen Mirage!
Chapter 460: 460: Fallen Mirage!
Even Orson was surprised at the four levels he gained, which was far more than when he killed the Golden Dragon King.
After a brief moment of focus, Orson realized that the disparity in experience gain was easily explained. Soros was merely a peak King boss, while Winona had once been a Demi-God Supreme!
A hum filled the air.
A burst of colorful light shot up into the sky, causing Orson to widen his eyes. The loot that spilled out from the boss was so blindingly bright that he could hardly look at it.
“This is too much!”
Orson blinked, thoroughly shocked. A single boss had dropped hundreds of items, with even the most basic loot emitting a purple glow. The loot was scattered all around, nearly covering the entire hilltop.
Ding…
“Orc Heretic title activated, real loot drop rate 1%”
A prompt appeared in the battle log, and Orson’s eyes lit up with greed. This black bird was really her lucky star! Sure, she was stubborn, but she sure knew how to be generous.
“Mine! Mine! All of it’s mine!”
Berenice suddenly sprang to life, leaping off of Orson’s shoulder and, before he could react, she dove into the pile of loot, hastily stuffing her bag with treasures.
“Little brat, don’t be so greedy. Let’s see what treasures we got here.”
Orson reached out to grab some of the loot, but the little troublemaker immediately blocked the opening of her bag and screeched, “Keep your dirty hands away! Anyone who dares to touch the Dragon Emperor’s treasury… dies! DIE!”
Orson rolled his eyes in exasperation, giving a sarcastic click of his tongue. He tossed Berenice aside with ease.
“Damn, no wonder she’s so excited.”
Orson sucked in a sharp breath. The loot included 13 Lord-Class Soul Seals from the Fallen Angel Feather Series, and 4 Epic Rank Soul Seals. These were the top-tier items that dropped after killing imperial NPCs—an incredible haul for anyone looking to improve their stats.
Additionally, there was a Forbidden Magic blueprint for Eternal Crown of the Fallen Mirage.
“This blueprint looks interesting. I’ll arrange for Sienna to have it sometime.”
Orson examined the blueprint, which was dropped thanks to the Orc Heretic loot rate bonus. It required six Divine Dragon Crystals as primary materials, and one Angel Feather as the secondary material, with no level requirement for wearing.
Looking into his loot bag, he found Eternal Feather x2—these were of holy artifact quality, indicating that the set of gear would need two failed attempts during crafting. However, it wasn’t a difficult task.
Considering how things were going, Orson felt like there would be many opportunities to extract the best materials from his foes.
This special set of gear had an even more interesting mechanism. Once successfully crafted and worn, it would trigger a Legendary-Tier Fallen Angel’s Revenge series of quests. Completing each stage would upgrade the gear’s level, making it a unique Growth Forbidden Magic item.
In addition to that, Orson had also collected 600,000 gold coins, seven sets of Level 80 Blood Drinking Clan: Guardian gear (which were also worn by Blood Clan elite warriors), and countless items of incredible value.
Orson estimated that, conservatively, the loot from this boss would easily bring in at least 20 million gold, with half of that being the worth of the Soul Seals alone. In the later stages of Infinite Dimensions, acquiring top-quality Soul Seals was incredibly rare. Most high-level players could only manage to get Epic Rank seals, with God-level Soul Seals being almost impossible to find.
“Should I collect the Fallen Angel King’s Authority: Blood Burn?”
Orson froze for a moment as he realized there was still a law to be claimed. He hesitated for a second—if this law could only revive the Blood Clan warriors, he’d rather just skip it.
Unfortunately, before Supreme Soul Disc absorbed the King’s authority, he couldn’t view its exact properties.
“Let’s do this!” Orson took a deep breath and selected “Yes.”
“King’s Authority Analysis Successful!”
“Supreme Soul Disc (Blood)”
“Gained Passive Skill: Blood Curse”
Effect: When the King’s Authority is activated by a Supreme Soul Disc, all members within the army/guild/party will receive the Blood Curse buff. While in this state, killing an enemy will turn them into an undead unit, giving the player control for 10 minutes, with the undead retaining part of their former battle strength.
“Gained King’s Authority (Weakened): Crimson Thirst.”
Effect: Within the effect range, all members of the army/guild/party will revive infinitely for 30 minutes, with a cooldown time of 12 hours.
“This law skill… is this a joke?”
Orson was stunned, realizing that not only did he make the right choice, but he had just hit the jackpot! This wasn’t just upgrading a motorbike into a Range Rover, this was turning the Range Rover into a jet plane!
On the surface, it looked like Ghost King’s law had been weakened, especially with the cooldown time increased from an hour to 12 hours. But there was now an added “Blood Curse” passive skill.
This skill might seem simple, but the key was in the “killed enemy” condition, which didn’t just refer to monsters. It also applied to NPCs, players, or trial participants.
Orson could imagine an absurd scenario where a rival guild member, who had been fighting him with swords and magic just moments ago, suddenly became his ally, controlled for 10 minutes as they were forced to fight their own comrades!
Just the thought of this made Orson grin.
“Ghost King! You sure know how to make my day!”
Orson cackled, already imagining the scene when the national war began, with foreign players crying for mercy as they faced this overwhelming power.
After gathering his loot, Orson turned to face Hillogu, walking toward him with a purposeful stride.
Hillogu: “Don’t… don’t come any closer! I am the Emperor’s tutor, the honorary Pope of the Holy Light Church!”
“Let me see the Holy Grail, and I’ll take care of it for the next few hundred years,” Orson smiled, his eyes narrowing.
Hillogu: “Shameless scoundrel! You dare covet the empire’s treasures? You’re walking straight to the executioner’s block!”
As expected, Hillogu refused the negotiation.
Orson, undeterred, looked at Ursula, and asked, “He killed your parents, right?”
Ursula nodded solemnly. “Please, God-Emperor, bring justice to my people.”
“Technically, I have no obligation to help you, but stealing your Crown of Sin is my goal.”
Orson tapped his chin thoughtfully, then smiled. “If I help you kill him, would you let me borrow the Crown of Sin for a few days?”
