Chapter 1327: Extinction event

Rain approached the enemy while spinning around and blocking the projectiles. Before long, Arel was forced to fire another darn cannon that completely enveloped Rain, but this time, he resisted the attack, and he looked completely fine somehow after being hit by it...

Arel tried to fly away while studying Rain, but she still looked a bit confused... how come Rain was suddenly able to block her attack now? She could only imagine that he used enough energy to dissipate her attack and that he wasn’t losing speed because his weapons hadn’t any real weight.

Both of her guesses were right... the weapons that Rain was holding were crafted with Ethereal Weaponry using most of his mana that the doppelgangers were still making him recover, and he changed their appearances with the power of his corrupt energy. Still, he could only do that for so long...

Despite Arel understanding the nature of Rain’s newfound ability to withstand her dark cannon, she also recognized the potential threat he posed if he was allowed time to strategize. Unlike the dragon god, who just overpowered her all of a sudden, Rain demonstrated a versatility and tactical acumen that set him apart. Arel understood that merely playing defensively against him might backfire in the long run. Instead, she contemplated the idea of surprising him by engaging in a manner more aligned with his preferred style of combat.

Acknowledging Rain’s intelligence and adaptability, Arel weighed the options. The unpredictability of his ethereal weaponry and corrupt energy manipulation presented challenges that demanded a proactive approach. As Rain continued to close the distance, Arel made a swift decision to alter her strategy, preparing to confront him on a battlefield that favored his ingenuity and cunning.

Arel began to tremble in the air, and before long, her arms began to mutate just like that, and soon enough, they assumed forms of dark, jagged blades with many sparks... the dark blades were quite long and looked menacing as well... after swinging them in the air a few times, Arel’s movements fired a blast of wind in the shape of a blade as well toward Rain.

Rain quickly moved to the side and avoided the attack. He didn’t look at it, but the attack landed on the ground and created another hole on the same level as the blood beam that she fired earlier... and unlike that one, this kind of attack could be used repeatedly.

Arel didn’t hesitate in charging in toward Rain and soon swung her blades to split him in half. Without hesitation, Rain charged in as he blocked the attacks coming from the side... until he let go of the weapons... they didn’t move from the spot thanks to his telekinetic powers.

In the next moment, Rain put his hands together, and then he used his secret technique... a barrage of water droplets emerged at the top of Arel’s head, but she summoned another dark wall... but that one was instantly blocked.

The relentless barrage of water droplets, unleashed by Rain’s secret technique, assaulted Arel’s head in rapid and incessant sequence. Each droplet, hitting with the force and precision of punches, created a symphony of impacts that echoed through the air. The sound was akin to a rapid, rhythmic drumming, punctuating the confrontation with a relentless pace. Despite Arel’s attempt to shield herself with a dark wall, the relentless assault of water punches persisted, creating an auditory spectacle that resonated throughout the battlefield.

Blood began to drip from her head... and she began to lose altitude. She knew that the attack had a lot of power, but not to the point that it would damage the vessel so much that she would lose control over it for several seconds. That was all thanks to the enhanced power of the technique...

In the next moment, even though Arel couldn’t control the body of her vessel, she saw the ominous sword appearing in Rain’s hands... he made it disappear using the water mirror technique, but it always had been with him. That wasn’t all... Rain began to focus his mind and body again to unleash all of his might with his secret technique.

"I suppose I underestimated you," Arel suddenly said. "Starting all over will be very time-consuming, but I can automate the whole process. It is a small price to solve this problem before it can possibly escalate any further."

In the next moment, the body of the giant fly began to dissipate, and the area got completely red and surrounded by the bacteria that devoured flesh and energy. Rain quickly lost sight of the giant monster, and he barely saw the exoskeleton of the monster disappearing. Before long, all of the energy on his body and around began to be consumed by the bacteria...

"I don’t have enough energy to kill all of this, but..." Rain thought.

"Wait, something is coming..." Elisabetha said. "There is something ahead too... it is another one of us!"

They didn’t have time for that, but Elisabetha still guided Rain to where the exoskeleton of the monster was falling, and in the middle of it, they found something like a golden vase... Rain touched it and could feel the sealed power of a relic from Earth, but he didn’t have time for that... before he could do anything else, it happened.

The atmosphere was suddenly disrupted by an unforeseen event. Without warning, a colossal meteor descended from the heavens, hurtling towards the planet with unstoppable force. The impact was cataclysmic as the asteroid crashed into the very crater where Rain stood, unleashing a torrent of destruction.

The collision obliterated everything within the crater, reducing Arel’s dissipating exoskeleton, the ominous remnants of the giant fly, and the bacteria to nothingness. The shockwave radiated outward, eradicating all traces of malevolent energy and transforming the once ominous red-tinged atmosphere into a chaotic whirlwind of dust.

In the next moment, the entire planet shook... as the power of the meteor pierced through the planet, and its immense kinetic energy made it spread and destroy the planet within...
