"Then shall we go?" Anna asked.

Dylan nodded.

If it was any other people, Dylan would most likely ignore them. He didn’t have the time to care about everyone in the entire world and so on. Even if various places were destroyed by those big mutated animals, he didn’t actually care too much.

As long as these big mutated animals didn’t disturb his and Anna’s life.

This was the most important point for Dylan.

But Uncle Darien couldn’t be like Dylan and had to care for the base and the people who were living here. So that when there was anything that seemed to threaten the base and the people’s safety, he had to figure out a way to deal with it.

Most of the times, they could deal with the big mutated animals with the other awakened who were strong enough.

After all, the leaders were pretty strong to a certain degree.

But if there was any big mutated animal that was far stronger than them, then Uncle Darien would have no other choice but to call for Dylan and Anna. Because the two of them were the most powerful awakened in City A Base even though this matter was not made known to everyone.

Of course, he would not ask for their help for free.

Uncle Darien was not that stupid to do something like this.

He would definitely prepare something.

"Meow?" We’re going out again?

Kitty was just having fun with Dylan and Anna and now they were already called out again? He felt disappointed.

He still wanted to play!

"We’ll play again after we return later." Anna patted Kitty’s head and smiled faintly. "Don’t worry, Dylan will also prepare a lot of snacks for you."

Dylan heard Anna’s words and was speechless. But seeing Kitty’s gaze, he could only sigh and nodded.

The three of them then made their way to Uncle Darien’s Mansion. Ever since they moved to the central area, their location was actually not that far from Uncle Darien’s place. If they wanted to pay a visit to him, a minute or two walk was more than enough.

So, soon enough, the two of them reached Uncle Darien’s place.

Old Master Daniels was still at home, resting and looking as leisure as he could be. The fact that Old Master Daniels was an awakened was not made known to other people. After all, there was no need for them to know that Old Master Daniels was actually quite powerful.

Besides, his age was not suitable for him to do anything much.

The main reason why they let him become an awakened was because they hoped he had a method to protect himself in case these big mutated animals came to the inner base. Like before, those big mutated animals managed to cross the defense line through the air.

Right now, City A Base had already upgraded their protection to a certain degree, so these big mutated animals wouldn’t be able to enter the central area again.

But no matter what, it was important to have a self protection method.

"You’re here." Old Master Daniels nodded at the two people with a smile on his face. "Darien is inside. He seems to be quite concerned about this matter."

Concerned?

Dylan and Anna nodded as they made their way inside and found Uncle Darien sitting there. He raised his head when he heard them entering and nodded.

"Sit down, there are a few things for me to talk about."

"What happened, Uncle?" Dylan asked as he sat down, not beating around the bush in the slightest bit. Anyway, there was no point with him acting polite to Uncle Darien when the two of them were family members.

"There are some things that I need you to do." Uncle Darien sighed. "City D is destroyed."

Hearing that, both Dylan and Anna were stunned.

"What did you say?"

"A city is destroyed?"

"Meow?"

Aside from Kitty who was only speaking for the sake of making sound, both Anna and Dylan were genuinely surprised. One or two bases destroyed was common occurrences because some bases were not strong enough. After Sunshine Base was destroyed, there would be one or two bases that got destroyed from time to time.

Both Dylan and Anna had heard about those.

So if they were only talking about one base, they would not be surprised.

But the entire city?

"Yes, there are three bases there, but none of the bases can hold on." Uncle Darien sighed. "This is why I’m calling you. There’s a large big mutated animal there, attacking the three bases and no awakened could kill it. Now, this large big mutated animal is going in our direction."

Going in their direction?

Their expression turned solemn.

They knew exactly what it meant to have a big mutated animal coming towards them.

City A might be the next target for the big mutated animal and if the entire city was destroyed, it would be very bad.

Even if most of City A was in ruins, but they still picking up scraps and so on from there. Recycling the materials for them to use what they needed in order to build City A to become even better.

And if there were more big mutated animals, would they stay quiet and let the big mutated animals come and destroy their territory?

The answer would be a big no.

"How strong is the awakened in City D?" Dylan asked another question first. If these awakened was stronger than him, then there was no point with him and Anna going to that big mutated animal aside from giving their heads.

He would not do something so stupid like that.
