Lillian nodded, raising her hand towards the orb. The old trader in the game was shown to not sell to those with affinity below a certain amount.

'Something about worthiness.' she recalled.

Now that she thought about it, she hadn't checked her affinity in a while. She remembered that it was previously 500 or so.

And... If she remembered correctly, she had taken quite a few Affinity Pills and added on some training with her element; she should be in the...

"1323." Gruff stroked his beard with a thoughtful expression. He seemed to be quite pleased and satisfied with Lillian's high affinity.

And he wasn't the only one, for Lillian—too—was pleased with the result. Once she reached 1400, she would be able to transform her body into water.

This would allow her to gain just a tad bit more survivability in upcoming battles. But that currently wasn't the topic.

She drew her attention from the thought and back towards the old man to find him scribbling on a piece of paper before holding it out towards her.

[12,000 Semis]

Lillian smiled. This was the cheapest price she had seen so far in her life when it came to buying an item.

After transferring the payment into the man's account and even being given a box of ammunition for her handgun, she wrapped her fingers around her newly acquired Items like a fool.

As much as she wanted to make her chainmail gloves and sword into Shards, she was met with the fact that she had used up all of her available slots.

Because of that, she had to store them within her ring, which wasn't much of an issue.

"Please place your hand on this orb."

Lillian's ears twitched at the old trader's words. Returning back to reality, she watched as Millis pushed her hand out towards the orb.

The white-haired girl raised an eyebrow. Was Millis buying something as well? She thought the Heroine was broke, although... She wasn't against the idea of buying for women as well.

"1550. How impressive for someone as young as you..."

"Heh, thanks! It took a hella lot of time to get it that high!"

"Mhm, I can imagine. This is for you, free of charge."

"OoO~! Really! Thanks a lot, Mr Gruff!"

Millis strolled towards Lillian in a 'Happy-go-lucky' manner with a newly given steel sword. Once reaching the girl, she found her to be gaping at her with immense shock.

"1550?!"

If Lillian recalled correctly, Marionette's past affinity was 1449.

Exempting the fact that the Assassin could have achieved more progress with her affinity, didn't this mean Millis was far superior to the woman in this regard?!

Millis tilted her head, placing the flat side of her sword on her shoulder. She smirked proudly, "What's up? Surprised~?"

Flexing her hand, she caused the sword to disappear before holding up her arm.

She then moved over to Lillian's side, wrapping an arm around her neck before flexing her other arm.

"I too have been working out, ya know!"

Lillian stared at the woman with a deadpan expression before turning away, 'She must've used pills...'

They then left the old trader's stand.

On their way back, Lillian sighed—still in disbelief at the fact that...

"I can't believe you got that sword for free...."

"Heh! I know, right?!" Millis dramatically brushed and flipped her hair to the side, "I guess I'm just sooo~ charismatic that everyone would give me things on a whim." freewёbn૦νeɭ.com

"Yeaahh... Just like how I'm going to spank you if you keep talking."

Millis gasped at Lillian's playful threat, "B-but...! Such an action should only be given to your lover, Lil!"

She then held her cheeks, faking a bashful expression, "I-I can't believe ya wish to do such activities with me! That's cheating, ya know~!"

Lillian stared at the woman with a defeated expression. She was just going to ignore the Heroine until she got back to her room...

***

Beep.

Placing her Student card over the scanner to her door, she pushed it open and entered before yelling, "Mari~! I'm back—!"

Just after finishing her sentence, she felt a pair of arms wrapped around her neck from behind. Following the sudden appearance of the arms was something leaning against the side of her head.

Her eyes drifted to the side, finding a familiar beauty's face rubbing against hers. She smiled slightly at the woman's intimate gesture.

"Missed me, honey~?" Lillian flirted, seeing the woman freeze for a moment.

She felt the Assassin tightened her arm around her neck before responding with:

"I did." The woman whispered, moving her face down into the crevice of Lillian's neck, "I missed you lots... Honey." Before giving a deep sniff.

She then stiffened as she sensed something besides the comforting smell of the girl. It was familiar, and it felt as though it belonged to someone she knew.

"... Was Millis with you?"

"Huh? How'd you know?"

Lillian blinked at her. Was the Assassin's sense of smell that strong?

Marionette stared at the girl silently before asking, "I thought you said you weren't going to be meeting with anyone..."

"W-well, I wasn't. Millis just happened to be on the way to where I was going."

"Mhm... So, you went with Millis to go buy something. May I ask what you bought?"

Lillian nodded before getting a mischievous idea. She shot her hand out and flashed it towards the woman's face.

Holding the handgun—she bought—towards the woman's face, she grinned, "This is what I boug—"

But before she could get out what she wanted to say, the gun was ripped out of her hand. Following that was her—

BAM!

—Being slammed into the ground.

Marionette, having Lillian's arms wrapped behind her back and pushing her into the ground, finally came to her senses.

She widened her eyes, "Ah..." And immediately got off of the girl. "Sorry about that, Lillian..." Her eyes flickered worriedly, "Reflexes."

After a few moments, Lillian pushed herself up to her knees, groaning a bit as she rubbed her forehead, which had crashed into the ground.

"Ugh... Yeah... That's kinda my fault..."

She then reached over to her gun, which Marionette had knocked to the side, and held it up to her.

"I got this for you."
