I transmigrated and got a husband and a son!-Chapter 1249: Heaven and Leo
Chapter 1249: Heaven and Leo
Extra:
"I see." Heaven smiled as she held the phone in her ear. "So, you’re starting school now? Do you have friends?"
"Yes!" the person on the other end of the line was Sebastian. "Mommy, how about you? Did you start your school too?"
Heaven’s lips stretched. "Yes. Mommy just finished class and I’m preparing for my shift."
"How’s work?"
"It’s okay." Heaven hummed as she sat on the bed. "It’s a little tough, but I’m very happy with it."
Sebastian smiled happily upon hearing the relief in her voice.
"Anyway, Basti, where’s your mama?" she asked.
"Mama?" Sebastian walked over to the window and peeked over to see Hera sitting in the garden while his other uncles tortured Joker. "She’s alright. Do you want to talk to her?"
"Well, not really. I’m sure she’s busy."
Busy? From what Sebastian could see, Hera was just enjoying how his other uncles punished Joker for pulling a prank on them.
"Basti," called Heaven as she gazed down on her lap. "Your mama told me she’ll fly here this month. Are you coming?"
Sebastian smiled politely and nodded. "Mama said I can and Miri."
"Can I see you?"
"Of course! My mama said you will have to take care of us for a few days."
Heaven’s smile stretched from ear to ear as she nodded. "Yes. Let’s go to the amusement park. Do you like it there?"
"I’m fine anywhere."
Heaven’s eyes softened and the two of them talked for another twenty minutes to catch up. After that, Heaven reluctantly bid him farewell.
"Mhm. Talk to you soon."
Having said that, Heaven reluctantly ended the call. Another shallow breath slipped past her lips, staring at her phone.
A couple of years ago, Hera reached out to her to discuss some matters with her. Hera, like a boss, didn’t beat around the bush and went directly to the point. Although Hera loved the children so much, she wanted to know if Heaven wanted anything to do with the kids.
At the end of the day, Heaven was still Sebastian’s mother. Miracle also came from Heaven’s body.
Heaven wanted to co-parent, but she asked for some time to fix herself first. No matter how much she wanted to mend her relationship with her children, especially with her son, Heaven was aware she had to fix her life first.
Which explained why she resorted to regular phone calls with Sebastian.
Now, however, after years, Heaven knew she was ready to be a mother. Although she knew she couldn’t give what Hera could, she still wanted to keep a good relationship with Sebastian. Heaven was just grateful to Hera and Dominic for giving her a chance.
"I will not mess it up this time," she told herself, nodding to herself.
Heaven was about to prepare for her work shift when her phone suddenly rang. Checking who it was, her brows rose.
"Leo?" she muttered with raised brows.
Leo and Heaven had been very good friends. That guy really set her an appointment with his therapist instead of sleeping with her. But the therapy helped with Heaven’s recovery and realized how abrupt her invitation to Leo was.
Fortunately, Leo didn’t take it to the heart.
So they remained friends and kept in touch. They wouldn’t talk every day because they were both busy. Leo stayed in stardom while Heaven moved to another place to fix her life.
"Leo?" she answered. "This is a surprise. Why’d you call?"
"Oh, Heaven. Haha. Did I surprise you?"
"Yep. How are you?"
"I’m okay! Busy with endorsements."
She knew that. Even if she didn’t want to know, every time she checked her social media, she would see an article about him.
"Actually, the reason I called is I’m around your city. Want to meet and catch up?"
Heaven hummed and smacked her lips. "I have work tonight."
"Right..."
"But if you’re staying for a few days, I can make time."
"Okay!" Leo chuckled awkwardly. "I’ll be here till the 19th. Tell me when you’re free."
"Alright."
The call ended shortly after.
Heaven didn’t idle and quickly changed, as she didn’t want to get late. Right now, Heaven is working as a part-time cashier in a bar. After getting changed, she quickly went to the bus station to get to work. Fortunately, she wasn’t late.
Hours later, Heaven finished her shift.
Massaging her neck, she grabbed her bag from the locker and dragged her feet out of the back entrance of the establishment. It was already past midnight, and she only had a few hours of sleep for her next class. Her body was already used to this schedule.
When she reached the bus stop, Heaven sat down and waited for the bus. She yawned once more, leaning her head on the side of the shed.
’I’m so tired,’ she told herself, closing her eyes. ’But this month, I’ll see Basti.’
That thought alone made her heart light, but her body was still exhausted. As Heaven was waiting for the bus, she instinctively squeezed herself into the corner when she felt someone sitting in the shed. She didn’t open her eyes, knowing even if she napped, she would be woken up once she heard the bus.
It was one of the qualities Hera left in this body: to be alert.
Heaven sniffed and furrowed her brows, smelling this pleasant and expensive scent nearby. Slowly, she opened her eyes and turned to the person sitting in the shed with her.
"Le — Leo?" she gasped, only to see him chuckle at her.
Her mouth fell open, looking around before her eyes landed on him again. "Is this a dream?" she blurted out, poking his cheek with her index. "Omo! You’re real!"
"Haha." Leo laughed out loud when she jolted and retrieved her hand. "Heaven, is it that shocking to see me?"
Heaven scoffed and pointed at the billboard across the road. "See that over there? Do you think everyone who sits in this shed thinks that guy will be here?"
"Haha. Right." He chortled while nodding.
"Why are you here, by the way?"
Leo hummed as he pondered. "I want to see you."
"Me? Why? Did I do something bad?"
"You didn’t respond to me the last time I messaged you and then you didn’t sound sure you want to catch up," he explained. "I was worried you’re ignoring me."
"Ahh..." Heaven rocked her head and explained her situation. "So yeah, that’s why."
Leo nodded. "Oh, so you’re not ignoring me."
"Why would I ignore you?" she returned, catching the bus approaching. "Anyway, nice to see you again. The bus is here! I need sleep."
Having said that, Heaven quickly picked up her things and stood up. But just as the bus stopped in front of her, a hand suddenly grabbed her wrist.
"Huh?" she looked back, confused.
Leo smiled and said, "Do you still want to sleep with me?"
"What?" Heaven scrunched up her nose as that somehow sounded familiar. But now that he was the one saying it, it sounded rude! "Leo, are you okay —"
"Hera called me."
"What?" Heaven froze. "She did that?"
"She told me everything," he said and smiled bitterly. "Can we talk? Please?"
Heaven pursed her lips. But before she could say anything, the bus driver scolded them.
"Are you getting in or not?!"
"She’s not. I’m sorry!" Leo answered before looking down at her.
"Ugh! Youngsters these days!" the bus driver grumbled and then closed the door.
Leo ignored the brief interruption and asked, "Can we?"
"I don’t want to talk." Heaven faced him and stood on her toes, planting a kiss on his cheek.
His eyes dilated as his entire body froze. He watched her draw her head back with a big smile on her face. Seeing the same smile he had fallen for years ago and the same smile that Hera’s face wore, his eyes softened.
Leo wordlessly reached for her, cupping her face and leaning his face forward.
"I don’t think I also want to talk now," he whispered before his lips landed on hers.
And they lived happily ever after.
