I Am the Only Fertile Woman in the Game-Chapter 226: No More Giving
Pollini, standing next to him, stepped forward and testified, "That’s right, he bullied Lei An first."
Lei An was the third youngest of the four little ones. Since he was a child, he had been quiet. After Ruka’s incident, he became even more silent. After they transferred schools, Lei An was bullied by other children several times and remained quiet. It was Pollini who first noticed the wounds on him, and after persistent questioning, he learned that someone was bullying Lei An. He then told Harvis, and how could Harvis bear it? He immediately wanted to rush out and teach the bully a lesson. Pollini, being the oldest, was a bit more calm and told him not to be hotheaded. The three brothers had originally planned to report the situation to the teacher and let the teacher handle it first, but today at noon, the perpetrator dared to bully Lei An again. Harvis jumped onto the desk and, stepping on it, rushed up to the perpetrator, beating him to the ground in front of the entire class, leaving him searching the floor for his teeth.
After hearing the whole story from Pollini, Qiao Suisui felt that the three brothers’ actions were justified. She then looked at the stern-faced principal and the displeased parents of the other party and asked, "So now you’re calling us here because?"
"Beating someone doesn’t require an apology? They ganged up on my son, a lot of children saw it!" frёeweɓηovel.coɱ
The child who was beaten was a descendant of the Rhino Beastman, who was also a late child and very precious to them.
Dr. Zong Fang’s eyelids twitched, "Ganged up?" His stern gaze swept over the row of standing youths, and they all lowered their heads one by one.
Qiao Suisui pulled at him somewhat displeased. "Why are you glaring at them? They did nothing wrong."
Hearing her words, the youths’ mouths stretched to their ears, each glancing at each other as if they had just received an award on stage.
Dr. Zong Fang sighed helplessly, placing his hand on Qiao Suisui’s lower back and leading her closer to his side, whispering in her ear, "This is a gang act, look at those three."
Qiao Suisui followed Dr. Zong Fang’s gaze towards the other three big boys, whose facial features and outlines faintly revealed the shadow of the Leberli.
Dr. Zong Fang called by name, "Taier, Olsen, Dikun, you three are from the next class, why were you at the scene?"
Taier was the eldest of the six Deer cubs, usually quiet but critical when it mattered. He saw Harvis fighting and, although it was a one-sided beating, there were many nearby taking sides. He then called Olsen and Dikun, the second and fourth, to join the fight.
Although they usually didn’t like playing with Harvis and his group, there was no reason to let someone bully their own brothers.
Did they really think the Leberli Family had no one?
Now that Dr. Zong Fang had called him out, he was not scared and stood upright, puffing out his chest, and said, "I was passing by and saw it, I went to break up the fight."
Olsen and Dikun followed, "Yeah, what’s wrong, Principal? Is breaking up the fight also not allowed?"
Qiao Suisui held back a laugh.
These three kids were not like Harvis and Pollini; they were of the confrontational type, who spoke frankly enough for one to see what was inside their stomachs. They still needed to learn some tough lessons; however, Taier and the others were very good at judging the situation and taking circuitous approaches, knowing what to say that would benefit them, but they needed constant correction in their values not to end up on the wrong path.
By this time, Qiao Suisui had a clear idea, so she said to the Rhino Beastman, "You’re saying you want no other compensation, just an apology?"
The Rhino Beastman’s nostrils flared with anger, feeling this family had no manners, and he bellowed, "Yes, they should apologize. They did mess up, and by spoiling your children like this, you’re only harming them!"
"How I educate my children is none of your business," Qiao Suisui retorted without mincing her words, "The passage whitelist, do you want on it or not?"
As soon as she entered the door, she had noticed the nameplate of the child who had been beaten. She had searched his family background on the Light Computer, and knew that this Rhino Beastman had started his business in level transportation and had some family assets. However, she immediately thought about how the Federation’s checkpoints were stricter than those of other member states; the costs of goods inspection and bribes were high. If one could get on the Federation’s whitelist, not only would it save a substantial amount of money, but more importantly, it would significantly improve transportation efficiency, potentially making them the leader in the industry.
Oftentimes, if a partnership wasn’t reached, it was either because the amount of money wasn’t sufficient, or it wasn’t what the other party wanted. This, she had learned from Guan Weizhi.
Sure enough, as soon as Qiao Suisui finished speaking, a flicker of interest passed across the Rhino Beastman’s face, and his attitude softened almost instantly.
He hesitated for a dozen seconds before probing, "You say I can get on just like that?"
Before coming here, the Rhino Beastman had investigated; the families behind these kids included Sikoses, which was now in decline, merely holding onto its name, and the Leberli Family, which used to belong to the Royal Family, and now was nothing— the Auslan Empire was no more. He had also heard from his son about his schoolmates; the three Leberli boys acted all high and mighty, thinking they were some sort of princes. However, this man with silver hair looked quite extraordinary; perhaps he could gain some benefits from him.
He hitched up the waistband under his corpulent belly and his dismissive expression returned as he spoke to Qiao Suisui, "You, a female, should just stay well protected and not meddle in these matters." Then he turned to Zong Fang, saying, "If you truly intend to compensate for my son, we can discuss it."
Carl, seeing him dare to address Qiao Suisui so disrespectfully, burst out laughing sarcastically, "Oh, what a family status, thinking you can impose conditions on us."
At that moment, Zong Fang looked at him as if seeing a dead man, completely ignoring him.
Harvis, seeing Qiao Suisui disrespected, clenched his fists, Pollini glared fiercely at the man, and Taier’s expression darkened. The three brothers exchanged a knowing look—if he dared say another unpleasant word, they were ready to go up and beat the child’s father too. Lei An kept his head down in guilt, feeling he had caused trouble for his mother.
On his part, the Rhino Beastman, seeing himself outright ignored by Zong Fang, flew into a rage of embarrassment, "Just give me an answer. If you put me on the whitelist, I won’t pursue this matter any further!"
Zong Fang, idly playing with Qiao Suisui’s hair ends, didn’t even glance at him, simply stating, "In our house, she makes the decisions."
Qiao Suisui remained composed throughout, and seeing the Rhino Beastman staring dumbly at her, she remained silent.
The principal then came out to mediate, "Everyone here is prominent, and there’s no need to make a scene over a children’s matter." He looked apologetically at the Rhino Beastman and explained, "Sir, you might not be aware, but this is Dr. Zong Fang, the son of a leader, and his children also attend our school."
The expression on the Rhino Beastman’s face froze, his mind went blank, and it took him a while to digest the information.
His face immediately twisted into an apologetic grin as he grabbed his own son by the neck and bowed to Qiao Suisui, "Look at me, my eyes are poor, I didn’t recognize, that... Hahaha..." he laughed dryly, asking, "So… the whitelist... what do you think..."
Qiao Suisui offered a polite smile in return and said flatly, "No longer offering it."
