His Genius Wife Is A Superstar-Chapter 1614: Releasing the Lead Single Ahead of Time

Iris and her team worked like a well-oiled machine every single day to finish filming all the music videos of the songs that she completed recording, including the music videos of collab songs with other artists. Everyone involved in the project felt like they were on a top-secret mission.

The other artists that Iris was collaborating with were kept secret. Everybody needed to sign a non-disclosure agreement before the album launched.

In addition, Iris recruited some of her big brother’s Shadow Winds members disguised as security guards to ensure her project’s secrecy during the filming of the music videos.

Finally, Iris and her team finished filming the music videos except for one collab song that she hadn’t recorded yet. Her music mentor, Enrique Valdez, had already arranged the artist(s) that she would be collaborating with for that song, but it wouldn’t be until almost the launch of her new album.

"Boss, this collab is going to be the most epic ever!" Dom said while vibrating from overexcitement after learning which artist(s) Enrique Valdez arranged for Iris to collaborate with.

Iris also smiled. "I don’t know if it’s going to be the most epic ever, but I plan to do my absolute best. This might be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me, so I’ll work on it and enjoy it as if it’s my last."

"Oh, I can’t wait!" Dom fanned himself with his manicured hands. "Does Elder Sis Yiyi know about this collab?"

"Of course, she knows. She almost fainted!"

She chuckled while remembering how her manager reacted when she first shared with Tang Yiyi who Enrique Valdez arranged for her to collaborate with.

"If I weren’t so healthy, I might have fainted, too!" Dom clutched his chest.

The best friends laughed together.

Then Dom added, "I bet Prince Lin Lin will feel so envious!" frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓

Iris shrugged. "He shouldn’t be. My brother-in-law has already collaborated with a variety of famous stars from all around the world."

"But this collab is on another level, Boss! This is going to be legendary!!!"

She couldn’t keep the smugness from her smile. "Just keep everything under wraps for now, Dom. We haven’t actually worked on the actual collab song yet, so I don’t want to toot my own horn only for everything to fall through. I’ll feel more at ease if everything is completed before announcing the collab to the world."

Dom nodded, turning serious in an instant. He patted his chest while promising, "Don’t worry, Boss! I’ll make sure that not even a fly or an ant will be able to discover what we’re working on in secret!"

Iris gave him a thumbs up. Then she glanced at her wristwatch. There was still time before the twins’ naptime was over.

She fished out her phone and made a three-way call with her music mentor, Enrique Valdez, and her producer, JJ. The three discussed the target dates of her album.

"Most of the songs are finished including the music videos," JJ said. "We can release the lead single ahead of time."

"I agree," Enrique replied.

"But I haven’t made any announcements on the specific date yet," Iris said.

JJ: "You, brat! I already told you to let my company handle the promotion, yet you keep on opposing me!"

Iris: "I’m the co-producer of this album. I should have a say in how I want the promotion handled."

"You always had a say, even when you weren’t the co-producer of your releases before," JJ muttered. "You were born to oppose me. What a brat!"

Iris and Enrique ignored JJ’s dissatisfaction. Both of them were already used to the producer’s hotheadedness.

"No need for a big announcement," Enrique said. "Everyone knows that we’ve been working on a collab album for a while now. Both of our names are enough to generate hype. Let’s just post a brief announcement and then release the lead single the next day. Simple."

Iris: "Okay."

JJ: "WHAT?!!! Both of you really want me to have a heart attack, don’t you?! What do you mean to release the lead single just like that?!!!"

Unfortunately for JJ, he couldn’t change the minds of Iris and Enrique no matter how much he tried.

He clicked his tongue in irritation. "These two stubborn people!!! Both of your heads are even harder than a bull’s!!! You’ll be the death of me!!! Argh! Why do I torture myself by working with bullheaded people like the two of you?!!"

As usual, the other two chose to ignore his complaints. In the end, JJ had no choice but to follow along with the plan (or lack thereof) of the two. Then he became serious and began to see the charm in the plan.

"Oh, this might work," he muttered.

"It’s going to work," Enrique said. His tone felt like a promise.

Although Iris didn’t say anything, both men could feel her determination through the phone call.

JJ: "Okay, fine! We’ll release the lead single the way you two want it! But let me at least arrange some performances on music programs before Iris leaves for the Philippines."

Iris: "That’s fine. I miss the stage. I want to perform in front of a live audience."

JJ: "Speaking of your trip to the Philippines, I want to talk to Dominic Chua!"

Dom, who was in the middle of verifying Iris’ schedule for the next few weeks, heard his name being mentioned.

"I’m here~"

JJ: "Dominic, you arranged for Iris to guest on some Filipino TV programs, right?"

Dom: "Yes, I sure did."

JJ: "Is she scheduled to perform in those TV programs?"

Dom: "Boss wanted to perform, so I arranged for her to perform."

JJ: "Okay, then change the song choice to the lead single instead. We’ll release it before she leaves for the Philippines."

"Got it. No problem!" Dom immediately made notes on his tablet.

After the phone call, Iris left Dom in the home office and headed to the nursery to check on the children.

Little Matcha was still asleep, but Little Mochi was already up and running with his elder cousin, Little Jun, who came to the mansion with his mother, Jiang Ying Yue.

Popcorn and the four guard dogs (Pudding, Chowder, Gravy and Buster) played with the two children.

Ice Cream disdained to play rough games with the others, so she napped with Little Matcha instead.
