Kailen, Arrie and Micheal stepped out of the private jet after it had landed safely atop the roof of New Alexandria city Awakener’s center.

The trio’s gazes lingered on a beautiful dark-haired woman standing on the roof of the towering skyscraper with a beautiful chocolate skinned woman and a white skinned 7-year-old girl holding a teddy bear.

Micheal quickly rushed towards his wife and child, and hugged them

Kailen and Arrie smiled at the family of three having a touching reunion and walked towards Angela.

’’Thank you, Angela’’ Kailen smiled genuinely, his voice full of warmth.

Angela’s brows furrowed slightly in surprise. Was this guy smiling? Had he eaten something bad?

Was he okay?

’’So you can also smile huh?’’ She blurted out the first words she thought of.

Kailen sighed, shrugging.

Arrie paused the music she was listening to, then stared at the duo with intrigue.

’’I meant I have never seen you smile before. Also, last time I thought, you did not do friends?’’

Angela asked, intrigued. She was genuinely surprised.

’’I see’’ Kailen mused inwardly at the words of the time dilation artifact, relieved. If Micheal’s wife was a member of the Terror Surge Syndicate, he would have hard to make some hard decisions . The fact that the guy at the black market that day was a member of the Syndicate meant that they were up to no good. Whatever connection, Kailen had to them, he was certain it would not end well. He therefore did not want someone Micheal cared about to be involved with them.

However, he had to ask Micheal’s wife about her associations, since she knew someone connected to the organization.

Kailen’s gaze lingered on the couple, who seemed to be discussing something.

Little Felicia run with her teddy bear towards Kailen ’’Uncle Kailen, uncle Kailen I miss you’’

Kailen, Arrie and Angela broke into laughter, finding the little girl’s actions heartwarming. Felicia was just too likeable.

Angela, seeing the flushed cheeks of Kailen and Arrie could not help but try her best to control her laughter.

’’How good it feels to be young’’ She muttered, as if she were recalling a similar time in her youth.

’’Kailen, we have something to discuss with you’’ Phila and Micheal walked towards them as Micheal voiced.

’’You guys can talk in the jet, right? I personally have to visit the capital for my brother’s birthday banquet today, so I plan to return with you guys’’

Everyone nodded, heading into the private jet.

Felicia stared at the interior of the jet with sparkling eyes. ’’Wowwwwww. It is just like in the movies’’

Everyone left the little girl to herself and found a place to sit, leaving Kailen and the couple to themselves.

’’Sweetheart, I think since we are putting everyone at risk here, they deserve to know too. Why don’t we tell Miss Hayes and Miss Arrie too?’’

Phila placed her hand on Micheal’s, caressing his hand gently. He could not help but nod at his wife’s words. If what they were both afraid of were to happen, everyone here would be at risk, therefore they had to know the truth.

Micheal nodded.

[Looks like you will not need to ask her about the person she knows that is connected to the organization after all.]

Kailen’s eyes narrowed slightly, then he sighed inwardly in relief. At least, this would make things easier. He did not want to go around poking into the personal affairs of his friend’s wife after all.

It seemed, whatever Micheal and Phila had to say would be connected to the answer he was looking for concerning who Phila knew that had a connection to the Terror Surge Syndicate.

’’Guys, come around’’ Angela and Arrie came around to join them, leaving Felicia watching television all by herself. However, the little girl did not seem to care about them, too absorbed in the show she was watching.

With all eyes glued on them, Phila stared at her husband, then receiving a nod from him, she spoke.

Kailen’s eyes narrowed as he mused inwardly ’’Interesting. She’s not lying’’
