Mo Qiang stared at the mer for two seconds. Her mouth twitched when she saw his actions; she knew that the mer had some tangled emotions towards her, but she never thought that he would ever make a move.

She raised a brow and said to Ling Che, "I thought that you had no intention of marrying anyone, Master Ling."

"I still don't have any intention to get married," stated Ling Che with a smile on his beautiful face.

Upon hearing his response, Mo Qiang rolled her eyes and then said to him, "Well, too bad, I am not up for one-night stands. So you can look for someone else, Master Ling."

She got up from the seat and took the gigantic dish with her. When Ling Che saw her leave, he didn't stop her; instead, he chuckled softly. He had to admit that he was quite enchanted by Mo Qiang but he didn't want to get married. He had seen the trajectory of his father's life after he married his mother.

Because of this, he was really worried that his married life would be full of tribulations and trials. It was not that he didn't trust Mo Qiang, but he didn't trust himself. He was weird in his own way. He liked cooking more than entertaining women, and he also didn't like it when someone tried to get close to him when he didn't want to.

"Humph, if you believe me, she got off too easily," Yin Fu sneered. He had been watching the news with Shao Hui and was not satisfied with the punishment that was given to Wei Yunrou. In his view, that woman deserved to be killed. Just think about how many lives might have been lost in her hands? Wasn't it better to kill her?

Mo Qiang's lips twitched slightly when she heard his words. She knew that if she didn't change the topic, Yin Fu would go into his law-abiding mode and tell her the various offences that Wei Yunrou had committed and how they should be dealt with. She immediately handed the two the new dish that Ling Che had prepared for her and successfully diverted the topic.
