After handing the enhancement stones to Suna and completing the upgrades, Yang Yi began forging the Ironbreaker and the Crystal Greatshield.

After all, he'd taken people's deposits, meaning he had to deliver quickly.

He had also commissioned Suna to make several extra moulds: four for greatswords and two for greatshields, which would speed up the process.

Yang Yi worked until nightfall, still owing four greats words. Seeing that his energy was nearing 30, he stopped working.

After replying to a few private messages, all thirty-six pieces of crystal gear were fully booked. Ten greatswords and two greatshields remained.

Counting the greatsword and five greatshields Yang Yi had reserved for himself, he figured he could finish everything by the following day.

He began shipping the items according to order sequence, completing the transactions, and then had a simple meal with Suna. Thanks to the gas masks, their appetites weren’t affected this time.

After dinner, Suna said she wanted to stay in the lab a bit longer and returned to the ship's cabin.

As for the improved formula for scorched liquor, she'd already figured it out. It still came down to the glutton's stomach.

It could digest and break down almost anything, secreting different digestive fluids depending on the contents.

After throwing in the fire banana, the stomach secreted digestive fluids similar to those of the fire macaque but it digested things even more thoroughly.

Suna then began cultivating the gut flora from the fire macaque’s intestines. Using fire bananas and water, she made a culture medium and used streak plating to isolate and grow the colonies.

After several rounds of purification, she screened out a special strain of yeast-like microbes which, with the help of digestive fluids, could further break down the fire bananas into scorched liquor.

The process had to be repeated many times, estimating that a week from then, the newly brewed scorched liquor would be ready.

On that island, Yang Yi had harvested about two tons of fire bananas. Most were unripe, which helped keep them from spoiling. Now that the formula for scorched liquor was complete, the two tons wouldn’t go to waste.

Yang Yi took one and munched on it as he walked towards the captain’s cabin. Eaten raw, the fruit was spicy enough to make him sweat all over, with only a hint of sweetness, probably because it wasn’t fully ripe.

He looked at the two extra magic potions in his hand. Both were ones he hadn't tried before. One was an orange potion that Yang Yi had never dared to drink. The other was the one he made for the collector, brewed with fire banana seeds, Yang Yi’s blood, and some other unknown ingredients.

As for the powdered lycanthropy potion, he’d lit it for five seconds and tried it properly once, but it had no effect, probably because he was already a werewolf.

“Maybe I should give it a shot?”

Yang Yi looked at the slightly murky red potion, hesitated a few seconds, then downed it.

As soon as the cap was opened, the potion began to boil, like a soda gone wild. The taste was like spicy cola: slightly sweet but very intense.

Yang Yi's skin turned visibly red, much redder than when he drank the Crimson Potion. His body temperature soared to sixty or seventy degrees Celsius. He could hear his blood boiling in his veins, like water on a rolling boil. His body felt like it was swelling.

"An enhanced Crimson Potion?" Yang Yi muttered in surprise.

The effect was impressive. All attributes except Spirit got a +2 boost, twice the effect of the original Crimson Potion!

But the moment he saw the potion’s description, he froze, because this potion was dangerous!

The side effects alone could easily be fatal. Even if they weren't, it would take a long time to recover! Only someone like Yang Yi, with his werewolf physique, could barely push through it.

He sent the potion info to Suna while holding a regeneration potion in his hand, ready to chug it the moment things went south.

Twenty minutes later, several blood vessels on the surface of Yang Yi’s body had ruptured, including capillaries, causing beads of blood to form all over his skin.

The larger blood vessels had burst as well, spurting blood like cracked water pipes, regardless of whether they were arteries or veins.

“You okay?”

Suna finally replied to his message. She hadn’t seen his earlier DMs at all.

“I think I’ll live!” Yang Yi replied, downing a regeneration potion to heal the injuries.

He lost over 20 points of health, which just went to show how tough a werewolf's body was.

Once the bleeding started, his blood pressure dropped, and the swelling went down.

“That’s good. Your constitution is really strong now,” Suna replied. “Don’t waste the blood either, I’ll bring some bottles up.”

“Uh…”

Yang Yi was speechless.

An hour later, thanks to the combined effect of the regeneration potion and his werewolf physique, his injuries were no longer a problem.

Suna, on the other hand, collected quite a bit of his blood, it looked like she planned to brew a few more bottles of the Boiling Blood Potion.

After that little episode, Yang Yi didn’t feel like doing anything else and just collapsed onto the bed, ready to sleep.

He could try scanning for nearby islands the following day, since the cooldown for the watchtower would be over

But then, the price of wood had dropped significantly, down to 16 conch coins per unit. In fact, prices seemed to be dropping almost every hour because the majority of the fleet was leaving the Extreme Winter Sea.

That included the New World fleet, which also departed the Extreme Winter Sea that evening.

Suddenly, all players received a system announcement:

【The number of Level 4 ship players has exceeded 10,000. The Bountiful Sea will begin to spread once all players have left the Extreme Winter Sea.】

“Level 4 ships...”

Yang Yi was surprised by how quickly people were upgrading their vessels.

But they were probably all standard ships. Level 4 special ships were likely still very rare, maybe even nonexistent.

Later on, it wouldn’t be unusual for standard ships to surpass special ships by one or two levels. After all, they had lower upgrade requirements, reaching Level 4 only needed basic materials.

Level 5, however, would require a special resource called magic stone, as well as a large amount of steel.

Yang Yi opened the chat window and saw a new panel showing the number of players remaining in the Extreme Winter Sea, similar to what had appeared near the end of the Storm Sea event.

The number stood at 24 million.

That was fewer than Yang Yi had expected.

The total player count now might just be in the hundreds of millions or even just one hundred million.

He had no way of knowing for sure, it was all guesswork.

He got in touch with Shen Guanquan, planning to buy a batch of food from him. But he’d wait until prices stabilised.

The food aboard the Nightmare Star was basically all gone, with just 8 black breads and 5 sausages left. There was still some dried fish and meat, plus a bunch of monkey jerky still being smoked.

However, with the looming arrival of the Bountiful Sea, Yang Yi planned to stock up on food supplies, because it wasn't certain that the food there would be edible.

After all, those mushrooms likely came from the Bountiful Sea.
