The Shadow Ape tried to get away with its agility but couldn't and it gave out a loud cry in pain.

It was caught by the intense heat and molten embers that pelted at the Shadow Ape.

The molten embers latched onto its long hair and flames were lit all over its body.

To put out the fire, the Shadow Ape used its hands and patted at the flames that were burning at its skin and flesh.

Lin Fan with his spear aimed at the head of the Shadow Ape and he thrust at the Shadow Ape's head.

A gust of wind came at the Shadow Ape's forehead as the tip of Lin Fan's spear approached.

When the Shadow Ape stopped what it was doing and looked up, it was too late.

In a flash, Lin Fan's spear went through the forehead of the Shadow Ape, ripping through its skull and brain.

The Shadow Ape's arms stopped moving and went limp the next moment.

After some digging around, he could feel a crystal-like thing near the heart of the Shadow Ape.

Lin Fan grabbed onto the crystal and with a yank, ripped it out of the chest.

The crystal was in a dark color and a silhouette of a Shadow Ape swirled inside.

He kept the demonic beast core and continued walking further into the back mountains.

However, his luck ran out and there weren't any demonic beasts in sight.

Seeing that the day was getting darker by the moment, Lin Fan decided to call it a day and went back to the wooden hut.

As he got near to the wooden hut, Ho Jie was back from his day, and he waved at Lin Fan with a smile from afar.
