Former Interstellar Mercenary In Urban Cultivation World-Chapter 801: The Side Effect Of Eight Gods Blade (Part 2)
Chapter 801: The Side Effect Of Eight Gods Blade (Part 2)
Kenny Lin hesitated, then explained, "It was nothing much, just using the lightning tribulation to temper my body. I didn’t expect the thunder tribulation to have such rich spiritual energy. I also used the opportunity to repair the Yin-Yang Pearl, but unfortunately, I didn’t manage to do it immediately. If I had, maybe I could have repaired one of the cracks completely."
"Lightning tribulations are unknown to us, and you really dared to do that!" Amalia said calmly.
Kenny Lin could sense that she was getting angry, so he quickly explained, "Of course, I only acted when I was sure I could handle it. I felt that with the Yin-Yang Pearl and my own talent, I could manage it, and it turned out to be true. I tested it first. Also, don’t try to change the subject. We’ll settle the score for the Eight Gods Blade later."
For the first time, both sides had something on each other, so neither of them pushed further.
Amalia, not wanting to argue, tossed the long sword to him.l, "Use this sword for now. When you find better materials, I’ll help upgrade your weapon."
Without a word, Kenny Lin took out his heart’s blood to refine the sword, sitting down cross-legged immediately.
Amalia had to wait on the side while he worked.
The main difference between a natal weapon and an ordinary one is that the former needs to be refined with heart’s blood so the weapon can truly connect with its owner’s mind.
After half an hour, Kenny Lin finished the refinement.
The sword, now connected to its owner, looked renewed, its blade sharp and imposing, just like its master.
"This sword should be a high-quality divine artifact, right?"
"I used all the special materials I had, and I refined it with my original flames for three days and nights. I also infused it with hundreds of formations. Unfortunately, my abilities weren’t enough, and by the end, my spiritual power was running low. This is the best I could do," Amalia explained.
"What more do you want it to be?"
A clear voice suddenly asked.
"Master."
Amalia turned around to the direction the voice came from.
Senior Tian Wuya and Master Lian had returned together.
Their robes fluttered gracefully, untouched by dust, with no sign that they had just fought a battle.
Senior Tian Wuya stared at Amalia for a moment before speaking, "I really underestimated you. I didn’t think your talent in refining artifacts would be almost as good as your cultivation. You’ve already made a divine artifact at the Golden Core stage. Do you know how many people throughout history on the Mystic Void Continent have achieved that?"
Amalia thought for a moment, "Fewer than five?"
"Not even close."
Senior Tian Wuya unceremoniously shot down her guess.
"In tens of thousands of years, as far as I know, only one person has done it."
"Who?" Amalia asked curiously.
"It was Yi Xiulan," Master Lian replied with a smile.
Senior Tian Wuya shot him a look as if to say, "You talk too much."
Amalia had already suspected this.
She had a feeling that this Yi Xiulan was the one who inspired her in the art of refining artifacts.
She also suspected that the Soltice Ring she had is likely belonged to her.
Trying to stay calm, she asked, "Where is this Yi Xiulan now?"
"No one knows," Senior Tian Wuya replied, "Her deeds are barely known among Artificers nowadays. Information about her is thousands of years old. However, there are rumors that she was once ventured into the Devil Battlefield."
Amalia couldn’t confirm this either, but she was sure Yi Xiulan had appeared at least a hundred years ago.
Otherwise, she wouldn’t have the Eight God Blade in her possession.
"Let’s not talk about her," Senior Tian Wuya continued, "Your success this time is also due to your strong spiritual power. But I truly didn’t expect you to reach this level so quickly. Where is the divine artifact?"
Amalia glanced at Kenny Lin, who reluctantly took it out.
Noticing he retrieved it from his dantian, Senior Tian Wuya’s eyelid twitched.
She glared at Master Lian, as if blaming him for teaching his disciple to take Amalia’s first divine artifact.
Even she as her master, didn’t get such treatment.
Master Lian raised an eyebrow.
Although he knows the two of them are very close, this level of closeness between Kenny Lin and Amalia still surprises him.
As for Senior Tian Wuya’s accusation, he paid it no mind.
Anyone could tell the sword was made specifically for Kenny Lin.
"He already has a weapon from his Master, but instead of making one for yourself first, you made one for him?" Senior Tian Wuya asked directly.
Amalia paused for a moment, then calmly replied, "His strength is greater than mine, and I promised him I would make a natal weapon for him. My own natal weapon is already a top-grade spiritual artifact, which I recently refined in the secret realm. I can always make another divine artifact for myself later."
Senior Tian Wuya froze for a second, looking at her disciple with a curious expression.
What gave her such confidence that she could make a divine artifact anytime she wanted?
Master Lian laughed, "It seems your disciple is a bit like mine."
Senior Tian Wuya glanced at him and said, "Don’t compare mine to yours. Mine is much more normal."
Master Lian didn’t argue back.
Denying the truth would only work temporarily.
Senior Tian Wuya’s gaze returned to Amalia, "You’ve got a big challenge ahead of you. With an Artificer who can create divine artifacts in the Green Lotus Sect, Artifact Refining Valley won’t stay quiet. Over the years, 80% of the divine artifacts on the Mystic Void Continent have come from them. Their arrogance has offended many people, and your skills could threaten their dominance in the artifact refining industry."
Amalia was surprised that even Senior Tian Wuya could joke around.
She thought for a moment and said, "So what? If they want to cause me trouble, I won’t just sit back and do nothing."
