Former Interstellar Mercenary In Urban Cultivation World-Chapter 1333: The Unsealed Box
Chapter 1333: The Unsealed Box
The box was unsealed, and no one knew what was inside.
A cultivator from the Erebos Star System cautiously approached, intending to take a closer look.
Seeing that no one was stopping him, he gathered his courage and stepped forward.
Just as his hand was about to touch the black box on the stone platform—
A beam of light suddenly shot in from the entrance.
With a sharp shiiing, it pierced through the cultivator’s defenses and shot straight through his chest.
The cultivator’s eyes widened in shock, the blood spurting from his mouth as he collapsed beside the stone platform.
Even as his life faded, his gaze remained locked on the figure standing at the entrance.
"It’s him!"
Zehaan’s grip tightened on his weapon the moment he saw the person, his eyes burning with hatred.
"Senior, don’t act recklessly!" Jaymitra quickly grabbed his arm, afraid that he would charge forward and throw his life away.
With the Grand Elder temporarily absent, none of them were a match for that man.
Even if Senior Zehaan was an exceptionally gifted cultivator, the gap in power between them was simply too vast.
Zehaan gritted his teeth. "I won’t act recklessly. Without the strength to take my revenge, I won’t throw my life away so easily. I will live until the day I can kill him with my own hands."
Jaymitra sighed inwardly.
Senior Zehaan was a tragic figure—he was far from the only one who had lost everything to the Holy Gate of the Heaven and the Earth.
Under this vast universe, too many families had been utterly destroyed by them.
The person who arrived was none other than Hsu Ziyan, the leader of the Holy Gate of the Heaven and the Earth.
His signature black robe and eerie ghost mask made him instantly recognizable as a member of the sect.
However, Hsu Ziyan himself was far stronger than his followers, his presence so overwhelming that it sent chills down one’s spine.
Over the years, Hsu Ziyan had rarely taken direct action.
Even so, he had orchestrated numerous major events from behind the scenes.
The ongoing war against the aliens undoubtedly had the Holy Gate of the Heaven and the Earth’s shadow looming in the background.
Hsu Ziyan led a group into the grand hall, his arrival plunging the room into an eerie silence.
With the Holy Gate of the Heaven and the Earth now in the mix, the ownership of the treasure had become even more uncertain.
"The leader of the Holy Gate of the Heaven and the Earth—are you here to fight for the treasure as well?" To everyone’s surprise, the first to speak was the alien general.
His tone suggested this was not his first encounter with Hsu Ziyan.
Of course, this wasn’t entirely unexpected.
Given the Holy Gate of the Heaven and the Earth’s apocalyptic philosophy, their interactions with the aliens were hardly surprising.
"After waiting for nearly a thousand years, what do you think?" Hsu Ziyan chuckled lightly.
His voice was calm and casual, yet it carried an undeniable determination.
"We want this treasure as well," said Xel’Anzeth and Xel’Markos simultaneously.
"What a coincidence. So do we."
At that moment, another group arrived.
They looked indistinguishable from humans, yet they belonged to none of the nine major star system factions.
"Aeryn’Thar, I knew you’d come too," Xel’Markos said as he eyed the middle-aged man leading the new arrivals.
His words confirmed humanity’s suspicions—these newcomers were the final of the four great alien royal clans: the Garuryndra Clan.
The Garuryndra Clan was a formidable race.
They were more mysterious than the other three clans because they possessed a unique ability that none of the others had.
This ability was their greatest weapon, securing their place as the strongest of the four royal clans and making the others wary of them.
"For an event this significant, how could we not be here?" Aeryn’Thar laughed, striding forward with an air of ease. He glanced at the humans. "Where is the one who killed Xel’Uvaar?"
"They’re not here, but they’ve also arrived in the Solvaris Star System. They might be elsewhere," Xel’Markos replied.
In truth, he hoped those two humans would not come.
They gave him a sense of unease—even stronger than Aeryn’Thar and his people.
But he did not voice this thought because he knew that without direct evidence, Aeryn’Thar wouldn’t believe him.
Xel’Anzeth shared the same hope—that they would stay away.
Aeryn’Thar seemed unconcerned by the response.
Xel’Markos asked, "How do you propose we divide the treasure?"
Aeryn’Thar smirked. "There are exactly four items. Each of our four clans takes one. Such a simple matter—do we really need to discuss it?"
The Umbrathari Clan was secretly relieved.
Ever since Xel’Uvaar’s death, they had been struggling.
Sending a top-tier warrior to reinforce them would take time—crossing two universes wasn’t easy, and half a month simply wasn’t enough. free𝑤ebnovel.com
Without a top-tier warrior to back them, they had been at a disadvantage in this treasure hunt, even fearing they might be eliminated from the competition altogether.
They never expected Aeryn’Thar to still consider them.
At that moment, Aeryn’Thar suddenly turned to the Holy Gate of the Heaven and the Earth’s leader. "What do you think?"
Hsu Ziyan’s gaze swept over the now-pale-faced Umbrathari Clan members.
He chuckled lightly. "Fine, but I want what’s inside the box."
Aeryn’Thar frowned slightly.
"The box isn’t large. It’s unlikely to contain multiple items. And I’m not open to negotiation," Hsu Ziyan said, his expression calm yet exuding dominance.
"Fine." Aeryn’Thar hesitated briefly before nodding in agreement.
The Umbrathari Clan’s faces turned from deep purple to pale lavender, drained of color.
As expected, without Xel’Uvaar, they had been cast aside by the other three royal clans.
"Aeryn’Thar, the Holy Gate of the Heaven and the Earth is deceitful and untrustworthy! How can you cooperate with them?" A furious Umbrathari commander protested. "Our clan will soon send Xel’Dugorr here!"
Aeryn’Thar remained silent.
Xel’Anzeth and Xel’Markos said nothing either.
So what if Xel’Dugorr was coming?
