Fairy Tail Destiny-Chapter 193: Ch : Bluenote
Chapter 193 - Ch 193 : Bluenote
Rest Area on Tenrou Island
In the simple campsite, many members of Fairy Tail were lying down.
Erza, Mirajane, Lisanna, Evergreen, Elfman...
All of them, unconscious, had been brought here to rest by the Thunder God Tribe's Freed, Bickslow, and Gildarts.
Freed placed a damp towel on Erza's forehead, sighed softly, and stood up, looking at the row of Fairy Tail members lying down.
His expression grew solemn and helpless as he murmured, "This is a disaster... What do you think, Bickslow?"
Sitting nearby, Bickslow let out a helpless smile.
"Yeah... Even Erza and Mirajane were defeated. That was far beyond our expectations. This situation is really bad. I just hope Gildarts doesn't bring back any more bad news. With just these numbers, it already accounts for a majority of the members who came to the island."
"There's nothing we can do about that now. The only thing we can do is protect this place and make sure the enemy doesn't invade," Freed replied.
After a brief silence, he muttered softly, "If Laxus were here, our situation would be a little better."
Bickslow silently nodded.
That man, who had left after instigating the civil war, was still the pillar of their Thunder God Tribe's hearts.
Even though he had been defeated by Noel, the three of them still believed in his strength.
But the reality was set—no matter how optimistic he wanted to be, Bickslow didn't believe Laxus would suddenly appear on this island.
So, he could only say, "It's fine. We still have the Master, Gildarts, and Noel. This won't be over so easily."
"Mm." Freed gave a muffled response.
As Freed and Bickslow were talking, a sound resembling a waterfall suddenly reached their ears.
Hearing the noise, both of them immediately turned their gaze toward its source.
It was a strange sight.
Amidst the pouring rain, there was an area where the rainfall was unusually dense.
Within that space, the raindrops were falling at a much faster speed than anywhere else.
Hidden behind that thick curtain of rain, a tall and blurry figure could be vaguely seen.
"Who's there?"
Realizing the abnormality, Freed and Bickslow quickly reacted.
The way the rain was falling so unnaturally had to be caused by magic—yet, no one in Fairy Tail possessed such an ability.
That meant the figure in the rain could only be an enemy.
With that thought in mind, both Freed and Bickslow stepped out of the camp and assumed a defensive stance.
"Can you fly?" The voice of the figure shrouded in rain rang out coldly.
Without waiting for a response, he continued on his own, "No... Not yet. Fall."
At that moment, time seemed to slow.
A powerful surge of magic spread out from the figure's center, and before Freed and Bickslow could react, an immensely strong gravitational force crashed down upon them, pinning them to the ground.
The sudden increase in gravity was so overwhelming that even the ground beneath them started to crack under the pressure.
Pinned to the ground by the sudden surge of gravity, Freed and Bickslow struggled, but no matter how hard they tried, they couldn't stand up.
The only small relief was that the magic's range hadn't yet reached the unconscious members inside the camp.
However, despite this, both Freed and Bickslow knew things were looking grim—because this enemy was overwhelmingly strong.
So strong that they couldn't see even the slightest chance of victory.
As they grew more anxious, the shadowed figure within the rain spoke again, his tone slow and deliberate.
"I don't really care about Fairy Tail or Zeref... but there's something here that I want. The tomb of Fairy Tail's first master—Mavis Vermillion. Where is it?"
"What... do you want with it?" Freed struggled to lift his head, forcing himself to look at the figure.
"I already told you, didn't I?" The tall figure repeated the question, his voice as cold as the rain pouring down.
"Where is Mavis' grave?"
Bickslow glared fiercely at the shadowed figure and said coldly, "The first master's tomb? We don't know where it is. And even if we did, we wouldn't tell some unknown bastard like you... Ah!"
Before Bickslow could finish speaking, a purple magic circle appeared above him.
Instantly, the already intense gravity weighing him down increased even further, forcing his entire body into the ground.
After making his move, the man hidden within the rain finally revealed himself.
He was a middle-aged man with a somber demeanor, his black hair tied into a low ponytail.
He wore a purple-and-black outfit, draped with a white overcoat.
This man was none other than the one Hades had chosen to deal with Noel—the vice master of Grimoire Heart, Bluenote.
Bluenote's expression turned icy as he spoke in a low voice.
"Fairy Glitter... It stands on par with Fairy Law—one of your guild's three great magics."
"What? I've never heard of anything like that," Freed responded.
The moment he spoke, the gravity around him intensified, pressing him deep into the ground just like Bickslow.
Meanwhile, Bluenote continued, his tone unwavering.
"That light allows no enemy to survive—a merciless radiance. I want that magic. It seems to be sealed within Mavis Vermillion's tomb. Now, tell me where it is!"
"Damn it... How could we lose like this?" Freed struggled to move.
To Bluenote slight surprise, Freed actually managed to stand up, albeit with great difficulty.
He drew the longsword from his waist and activated his signature Dark Ecriture magic.
"Don't think you can defeat us that easily! Dark Ecriture—Demon!"
The moment Freed cast his magic, his body began to transform, morphing into a demonic form.
Bearing the intense gravity, Freed launched himself toward Bluenote in a single burst of motion.
However, before the demonized Freed could even touch Bluenote, he suddenly slammed into an invisible wall, as if blocked by an unseen force.
After a brief moment of stagnation, he was violently thrown backward.
"Did you hear me?" Bluenote asked in an emotionless tone, his expression as calm as still water.
"Freed!" Seeing his comrade being sent flying, Bickslow shouted in concern.
He then turned his gaze toward Bluenote, determination flashing in his eyes.
Reaching up, Bickslow removed his mask, revealing his glowing magic-infused eyes.
He locked his gaze onto Bluenote, preparing to unleash his Figure Eyes magic.
Boom!
Before Bickslow could activate his ability, Bluenote struck first as if he had anticipated the attack.
A powerful force struck Bickslow from a distance, sending him flying just like Freed.
Purple magic circles appeared around both of them once more, increasing the gravity upon their bodies even further.
"Hurry up and talk, or I'll crush you both." Bluenote spoke coldly, his expression indifferent.
Seeing the stubborn looks on Bickslow and Freed's faces, he frowned slightly, then muttered in a low voice, "It seems you won't talk... In that case, I guess this is where we say goodbye."
With that, Bluenote slowly raised his hand, preparing to cast his magic.
"Stop!!"
Just as Bluenote was about to unleash his spell, a firm voice rang in his ears.
He turned his head and saw Cana rushing toward them from a short distance away.
"I was originally looking for Lucy, but I didn't expect to run into something like this on the way. I don't care who you are—I won't let you keep hurting my guildmates!"
Cana declared resolutely, her determination unwavering. freewebnøvel.com
