Fairy Tail Destiny-Chapter 182: Ch : Garlos and Hades
Chapter 182 - Ch 182 : Garlos and Hades
"Bluenote has already been sent out. However, Caprico, Azuma, Rustyrose, and Zancrow have all been defeated. Four of the Seven Kin of Purgatory that I nurtured have already fallen. I could accept that Azuma and Rustyrose were defeated by Noel Rutherford, but for Zancrow and Caprico to be taken down by other members of Fairy Tail... Hmph, that damn Makarov really has raised some formidable individuals."
Inside the warship of Grimoire Heart, Hades sat with a dark expression.
Before he could even locate Zeref, nearly half of his carefully trained Seven Kin had already been lost—something he had never anticipated.
(If even Bluenote fails to control the situation, then I must step in myself. No matter what, I will claim Zeref.)
Hades made up his mind.
Given his seniority, taking action against Fairy Tail's members could be seen as bullying the young.
However, in the face of the temptation that was the Abyss of Magic, such concerns were insignificant.
Just as Hades was deep in thought, a warm yet slightly playful male voice suddenly came from outside the door.
"It seems that the Seven Kin of Purgatory you so carefully cultivated were only capable of this much, Master of Grimoire Heart—Hades."
Hearing this voice, Hades abruptly stood up from his seat, his sharp gaze locking onto the entrance.
"Who's there?"
The door slowly opened, and a young man with neatly styled brown hair and delicate features stepped into Hades' sight.
The brown-haired youth walked in leisurely, his expression calm as he looked directly at Hades.
"How did you get in? Did you already take care of the ones outside?" Hades' gaze grew heavy.
With his level of power, he hadn't even noticed when the young man before him had approached.
"Take care of them?" Garlos waved his hand dismissively.
"No, no. I prefer to accomplish my goals in the most effortless way possible. Instead of wasting time and energy taking down each person outside one by one, wouldn't it be much easier to just take you down directly?"
"Then how did you enter this place under their watch?"
"It's nothing special. I simply entered the 'Reverse Side' of the world."
Hades frowned. "The Reverse Side of the world?"
"You don't understand?" Garlos took a coin from his pocket.
"Hmm... Explaining it plainly is rather difficult, so let's use an analogy. A coin has two sides—a front and a back. If you're looking at the front, you can't see the back. What I do follows a similar principle. I enter the 'Reverse Side' of the world, so those who exist in the 'Front Side' cannot perceive me. Likewise, when I'm in the 'Reverse Side,' I cannot interfere with those in the 'Front Side.'"
He flicked the coin into the air and caught it, smiling.
"Oh, and by the way, it's not just me. From the moment I stepped into this room, I moved the entire space into the 'Reverse Side' as well. So no matter what happens inside here, the ones outside won't notice a thing. Do you understand now, Guild Master Hades?"
"I more or less understand. One last question..."
Dark purple magic slowly surged around Hades, filling the entire room with an overwhelming sense of pressure.
"Brat, are you really so confident that you can defeat me? Don't get ahead of yourself."
"I'm very confident," Garlos replied with a faint smile, unfazed by Hades' oppressive aura.
"It's precisely because I'm confident that I came here."
"Arrogant brat. Let me show you what true power is."
From Hades' hands, pure white magical chains shot out at an incredible speed toward Garlos.
It seemed as though Garlos had been caught completely off guard—he didn't even have time to react.
The magic chains pierced straight through Garlos' body, continuing their momentum and blasting a massive hole into the wall behind him.
However, Hades' face did not show the slightest trace of satisfaction.
Instead, his expression carried a hint of doubt.
The chains had indeed passed through Garlos, but there was no sensation of striking a physical body.
It was as if Garlos standing there was nothing more than an intangible illusion.
"Surprised?" Garlos seemed to see through Hades' thoughts as he smiled slightly and took two steps to the left.
His body, which had been pierced by the magical chains, remained completely unharmed, effortlessly shifting away as if it were nothing more than a true illusion.
"A thought projection?"
"No, I am indeed here." Garlos' smile grew even more amused.
"With your level of power, you should be able to tell very clearly that I truly exist in this place, Hades."
"Indeed." Hades' expression returned to normal as dark purple magic gathered around him.
"No matter what trick you just played, I only need to let darkness consume everything."
Transparent magical energy formed in his hand, but before he could act, Garlos had already vanished, instantly reappearing behind him.
"From my perspective, you're the truly arrogant one here, Hades."
"When did—?!"
Boom!
Garlos' magic-infused fist struck Hades from behind.
A surge of immense magical energy erupted, sending Hades flying straight into the wall, smashing a massive hole through it.
Bang!
The dust dispersed as Hades, his expression cold and unyielding, emerged from the wreckage.
Several white chains shot out from his hands, attacking Garlos from multiple angles.
Yet Garlos made no move to evade—the magical chains once again passed through his body without causing him any harm.
"[Spatial Rift]."
Garlos spoke calmly as a pitch-black, abyss-like rift formed in his hand.
With a casual swing, the spatial tear surged toward Hades.
Hades' pupils contracted slightly.
From that small mass of black energy, he sensed an overwhelming aura of danger.
Without hesitation, his hands quickly formed seals, and three incantation arrays appeared around him.
"[Amaterasu Twenty-Eight Forms]."
The dark purple magic gathered the three incantation arrays into his hands, condensing into a brilliant violet energy sphere. With a forceful push, Hades launched the sphere straight toward the incoming black energy.
Boom!
A dazzling explosion of light followed as the two opposing forces collided, unleashing a violent blast. The sheer magical pressure pulverized everything in the room into dust. The radiant burst was so intense that it was impossible to keep one's eyes open. frёeweɓηovel.coɱ
"Where did that brat go?"
Hades, now enveloped in the fading smoke, warily scanned his surroundings.
But in the next moment, a sudden pain coursed through his body—something foreign had invaded him.
Struggling to look down, he was met with a shocking sight: a slender arm had seemingly phased through his skin and into his body.
"Got you."
Garlos' voice echoed from the void, and then—like pieces of a puzzle being assembled—his body gradually emerged from nothingness.
First an arm, then a foot, a leg, an upper torso, until finally, his entire figure was fully visible.
With a light chuckle, Garlos whispered, "Don't move, Hades. Your heart... is in my hand right now. If you so much as twitch, and I accidentally squeeze a little too hard..."
He smiled.
"Boom."
Hades, who had been preparing to counterattack, froze in place.
His gaze turned icy as he stared at Garlos.
"I see... Your magic is... no, not just phasing—something on a higher level... Space manipulation?"
"Correct! But, unfortunately, no prize for you." Garlos' tone carried a faint hint of mockery.
"My magic is spatial magic. All your previous attacks? They were simply redirected behind me. So, no, your attacks didn't 'pass through' me—they were displaced. By the same principle, my hand has actually phased through space and reached inside your body... You understand your current predicament, don't you? If I apply just a little pressure, your heart will burst like an apple. Boom! And that will be the end of everything."
"You little...!" Hades' expression darkened, filled with frustration and rage.
"Heh, just kidding."
Garlos' body flickered and vanished, reappearing at a distance.
"That would get my hands all bloody—not exactly pleasant. Besides, honestly, ending it like that would be way too boring." His smirk deepened.
"Hades, if you still have any trump cards left, feel free to use them. After our brief exchange, you should have realized by now... The power you've shown so far isn't even close to being a match for me."
Hades clutched his chest, breathing heavily.
Hearing Garlos' words, he slowly straightened his body, his expression extremely solemn.
He reached up and placed his hand on the eyepatch covering his right eye.
"How long has it been since I was forced into a situation like this? You truly are a terrifying little brat... To possess such monstrous power at your age. Fine, as you wish. What you are about to witness next—"
His voice grew deeper, filled with an ominous presence.
"—is the unfathomable abyss of the Arcane Path."
Boom!
A crimson eye snapped open, revealing a darkness so pure it seemed to devour all light.
An overwhelming, nauseating surge of magical energy erupted into the air, boiling violently around Hades.
His helmet crashed to the ground, his gray hair flowing wildly as his entire presence transformed—he now exuded an aura of pure, hellish malice, like a demon lord emerging from the depths of the underworld.
Garlos took a deep breath, his gaze fixed on Hades.
Slowly, a mysterious smile curled at the corner of his lips.
"So this is the abyss of the Arcane Path? Now this... is interesting."
