Magic was fundamentally difficult to grasp, and the author had no fucking idea how to tackle such a complex system without going insane.

As he used his [Honkai Circuits] to perform basic spells like [Water Ball] or [Fireball], he kept [Great Sage] and his [Eyes of Heaven] martial soul operating at the same time.

That previous paragraph was just words stacked neatly beside each other—you still didn't get it, now did you? Let's simplify it more.

Everything is composed of information. Your entire being is literally created from strings of data stored in your DNA, and your body is the machine that accesses that information for its self-sustenance.

When a cell gets damaged or needs replacement, your body reads information from your DNA and starts using nutrients and minerals you consumed to build the cell from the ground up while also simultaneously getting rid of the old one.

Easy enough, right? But what about inanimate and inorganic objects like a shard of iron? It doesn't have DNA, now does it? So how is it made up of information?

Here comes the philosophical part. A famous philosopher called Plato had a theory: that everything in our world—whether physical (e.g., an apple) or not (e.g., the action of 'thinking'), tangible (e.g., a scrap of metal) or intangible (e.g., you can't touch emotions)—has an information body.

The information body is called Eidos. Eidos refers to the abstract, perfect, and unchanging forms or ideas that exist in a realm separate from our sensory world.

Read it again and notice this part: "in a realm separate from our sensory world." That is what is called the information dimension.

The information dimension is a dimension where all information regarding all of existence is recorded.

Some even believe that the information dimension is the main dimension, and everything else in our physical world is just a projection of information into a lower-dimensional plane (3D plane).

They think that because we feel certain things but can't touch them—like emotions, knowledge, time.

All of these concepts are felt by us and affect our physical realm, but you can't touch them as they weren't fully translated from the information dimension to the physical realm.

Yuhao's [Eyes of Heaven] martial soul allowed him to see the Eidos. In simple terms, he can read the information that makes up all things.

So, when he imagined a [Fireball] spell and his [Honkai Circuits] started the calculation to manifest it into the physical realm, his eyes 'read' the process, and he gained insight into how magic could be cast.

His [Great Sage] skill had an amazing subskill called [All of Creation], and that allowed Yuhao to comprehend anything as long as he had a basic understanding of it and it was perceivable to the user.

The synergy between his abilities would allow him to figure out and create a new magic system that satisfies his needs in every way, shape, or form.

That is why it is a loophole in the system. That happens when you think of your skills ahead of time and allow them to synergize together to create something that breaks the game. No skill/power shall be useless in this fanfic.

And this is what Yuhao has figured out and compiled in his week-long testing of the newly discovered/created magic system.

Let's review the basics first. Magic is an active process of altering the world (phenomena) using a spell or a magic sequence to achieve a certain desired outcome. Simple enough, right?

So, a basic spell like [Fireball] would be created by heating up the molecules in the air to increase temperature and reach combustion. But not only that—you need to add a sequence to collect all the 'fire' into a sphere shape so you can achieve a [Fireball].

More accurately, the spell [Fireball] requires two lines of 'code' for it to work. One line of code is to 'burn'—or more precisely, accelerate the molecules in the air to reach combustion. The other line of code is to 'gather' all the fire produced into the desired shape.

You get the idea? So here is a mini-quiz. How would a spell like [Fire Lance] differ from the basic [Fireball] spell? What would you need to change in the [Fireball] spell for it to become a [Fire Lance] spell?

Correct answer is: the second line of code in the [Fireball] spell has to be changed—or more accurately, it has to increase in complexity—so that the more advanced version of the basic [Fireball] spell, which in this case is the [Fire Lance] spell, can be created.

Notice the word highlighted in the previous paragraph? The word "complexity"—yes, that word. That is basically the core of our existence.

A single-celled organism is called simple because it has fewer lines of 'code' per se when compared to something like a monkey, for example.

Monkeys have a lot more 'lines of code' stored in them than single-celled organisms. That is why they can do more than single-celled organisms and are, therefore, more complex.

So, what do we deduce from that?

That the more complex the 'lines of code' a being has, the smarter, more powerful, and more efficient they become.

And that is the same for magic. The more complex the lines of code in a spell, the more powerful the spell can become. This new magical system might have been form-fitted for Huo Yuhao's entire existence.

The past week has been spent decrypting the [Honkai Circuit]'s magic calculations and compiling all the knowledge using [Great Sage], while also using the compiled knowledge to expand the theoretical part of the calculations in [Great Sage]'s database. frёeweɓηovel.coɱ

Huo Yuhao has almost entered a state of exhaustion from studying the new magic system, as questions kept popping up left, right, and center.

Like: What if we edited the second code in the basic [Fireball] spell so that, instead of converging all the fire into a sphere, we replaced it with a line of code for dispersing the fire—and voilà, you got a [Fire Explosion] spell.

The possibilities were literally endless—so much so that Kiana was having an existential crisis and kept her silence more than usual over the past week.

This magic system was frighteningly close to her Authorities—mainly the [Herrscher of Fire]. The power of [Herrscher of Fire] was [Molecular Acceleration]. What does that mean?

It means that she could accelerate the molecules so much that the air starts combusting and insatiable fires are created. It was arguably the most dangerous Herrscher Authority when it comes to physical destruction.

The power of [Herrscher of Ice] followed a similar process, but instead of [Molecular Acceleration], it was [Molecular Deceleration]. It was by decelerating molecules that water vapor would condense into ice and could be literally weaved out of thin air.

This is why water/ice mages or water/ice soul masters perform better in damp conditions—they don't have to waste much of their energy to form water or ice for their use.

But the [Herrscher of Ice] could freeze other elements in the air by decelerating their molecules instantly. Given enough time, she could end all life on Earth by simply reaching the realm of absolute zero—A realm that is thought to be physically impossible to reach—well, at least with the current level of technology.

Yuhao's magic system mimics that process. In fact, it could mimic other Authorities with ease given enough time and study. But don't mistake that to mean the Herrscher Authorities were weak or anything like that—because that would be dumb.

What Yuhao could spend months figuring out, Kiana could already do. And even when he decrypted all the Authorities and started using them with magic, Kiana would have a better handle on them.

This was just the old question of Magic vs Authority. It's like asking: an unstoppable force vs an immovable object. Magic, in the latter stages, could catch up to Authorities—but those that have Authorities were already at the finishing line.

So, he better start learning both magic and Herrscher Authorities very seriously. Maybe he'll be stuck in a situation where he can't use his Herrscher Authorities—so he'd have to compensate with magic, and vice versa.

But he could also be stuck in a situation where he can't use either magic or Herrscher Authorities—then he better start skewering enemies with his spear. And if he lost the spear? Then fists it is.

Versatility is king, and he needed to become as versatile as possible without compromising on combat power.

We got sidetracked. Now, back to the new magic system. After further testing and refining, groundwork has been constructed and a magic classification system has started to form.

It was truly a long week for both Yuhao and Kiana.
