Don't confiscate my identity as a human race-Chapter 1327 - 829: Cat Boss, Step Forward!_5
Cat Boss desperately tried to recall what Barton once said on the second floor of the Brielda Opera House.
Among the twelve War Gods, 1, 2, 6, and 11 belong to the Neutral faction.
3, 7, and 10 belong to the Radical faction.
4, 5, 8, 9, and 12 belong to the Conservative faction.
The few War Gods before it seemed to all originally belong to the Conservative faction.
This meant they could either be the safest gods or the most dangerous ones if controlled!
"Huh, you're clearly so young, yet you already have Sixth-order strength? And you even have spatial attributes!"
The Twelfth War God, Cat's Eye Stone Bianca, knelt down again, petting Cat Boss while exclaiming in awe.
She had never seen a same-species individual with such exceptional talent.
Immediately, she understood why she had felt drawn to this Black Cat Clan individual.
It wasn't just the pleasant scent; there was also an extraordinary, logical-defying potential! fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com
"Keep it up, I think we might even... breed someday; I'm very optimistic about you, young one."
Bianca fixed her gaze on Cat Boss and earnestly voiced the thought that had instinctively arisen in her mind from the start.
"...?!"
Cat Boss was utterly stunned, nearly petrified by Bianca's shocking words.
It was ready to call the authorities.
Apparently, its use of [Transformation Magic: Human], a Demon Race spell with such a massive transformation leap, did lead to some issues, making it impossible for others to discern its basic information.
But Bianca seemed so genuine—as if she truly intended to say this—not out of desire, but with rationality.
"I'm calling a lawyer now."
The Fourth War God, Yaspeel, held their forehead in exasperation.
If this kid's parents were to hear that remark and sue Bianca, it'd surely be a slam-dunk case.
"Kid, don't let her scare you. She really doesn't mean it like that; it's just that she truly can't find a suitable husband among the Catman Clan."
The towering Conzel grabbed Bianca by the scruff of her collar, forcing her to release the little one from the Black Cat Clan, preventing her from acting out.
"The more we explain, the messier it gets. Anyway, you'd better leave quickly so she doesn't cling to you."
The Eighth War God, Haogold Stone Conzel, glanced at Cat Boss and advised it.
"Meow meow meow, thanks to you all."
Cat Boss nodded repeatedly in fright, rendered speechless, then briskly bolted away.
Grilled fish no longer smelled enticing!
This was a brush with death!
It had actually managed to escape from three War Gods!
"Young one! Until we meet again, I've memorized your scent, meow. I'm undoubtedly your best choice."
Bianca happily waved goodbye.
A few more years, and this Black Cat youth should become remarkable.
The potential seemed limitless—it might even be possible for these genes to produce a Ninth-order Catman!
"Reach the Eighth-order, then we can...!"
Before finishing her sentence, Bianca's mouth was covered by the Fourth War God Yaspeel, and the couple began to drag her away.
Cat Boss sprinted away, feeling a chill down its spine.
Why was it mistaken for a boy after transforming into a human?
Was it because the card itself was crafted by Lanci? For a being like it, more inclined toward gender neutrality, did use of the card result in a human form that resembled a young boy more?
[Transformation Magic: Human], according to the Blood Moon Bad World Era's historical background, was reverse-engineered by the Demon World from transformation surgeries for Demon People conducted in Huo Ning Empire's experimental fields. The magic inherently possessed transformational traits unique to its era, as well as some degree of incompatibility with other races.
Only Lanci and Tata could manually fix this problem!
Cat Boss's figure dashed all the way to the Main Hall, turning a corner in a desolate area, instantly vanishing like a splash of ink and reforming into a small black cat.
In the moment it transformed back into a cat, all the unease dissipated.
It floated mid-air, savoring the freedom brought by its soft, fluffy body and tiny size, vowing never to transform into a human again. Meow!
"Cat Boss, sorry about that."
A voice suddenly sounded behind it.
It startled so badly its very soul nearly vaporized.
"Meow meow!!"
Cat Boss curled into a ball, clutching its head.
No way a War God could still recognize it!
It decided it would never leave Lanci again.
"Cat Boss, it's me."
A voice that carried both apology and a hint of mischievousness continued, showing no intention to attack the cat.
Cat Boss lowered its paws, tilted its gaze upward, and stared. Only then did it recognize it was Tolyado.
"Where did you go, meow?!"
Cat Boss cried out tearfully.
Now it understood why Abigail once said this guy was unreliable.
Completely untrustworthy!
"The situation earlier was tricky; one of the War Gods was overly perceptive. I detected danger and teleported away at once. Good thing you helped draw their attention."
Tolyado explained sheepishly.
His years of counter-surveillance instincts had driven him to flee instantly.
Though the War Gods likely wouldn't attack him, the Dimensional Bishop, over some baseless grievance—especially given the current cooperative relations between the Rebirth Church and the Cerryti Empire—
still, Tolyado didn't want the Twelve War Gods to discover that the Dimensional Bishop had been actively maneuvering near Brielda prior to the coming skirmish in Blood Moon City.
"I was the bait, meow?!"
Cat Boss tearfully accused.
It had encountered three War Gods and was nearly scared out of its wits.
It almost ended up sacrificing its life in honor of Great Priest Loren!
"You're Professor Landry's cat, officially registered as a contract beast at Saint Kray Monastery. They won't really do anything to you, and besides, only a Divine Beast like you could handle certain things."
Tolyado clasped his hands together in apology to Cat Boss.
By rights, unless a War God got suspicious and interrogated him closely, Tolyado was confident in perfectly disguising himself.
Except when dealing with specialized Scouts like the Twelfth War God, who could trigger premonitions from afar thanks to innate talent.
