Devouring Evolution: I Reborn as an Arctic Wolf-Chapter 983 - 572: Visiting Each Department, Activate Vincent.
Chapter 983 -572: Visiting Each Department, Activate Vincent.
Time slipped quietly alongside the reports from the leaders of the Blessed Land Beasts scattered across the Wolf Pack.
In the blink of an eye, three days passed quickly.
Su Lin secretly assigned numerous tasks to the leaders of various exotic beast factions stationed afar, but he made no specific arrangements for the Northern Desert Sandworm King and its clan.
It was clear to him that the Northern Desert Sandworm King revered his strength out of sheer fear,
yet rebellion had already sprouted in its heart.
Even if Su Lin could suppress such thoughts temporarily, he could never do so indefinitely.
But to eliminate the Northern Desert Sandworm King would only further alienate the Northern Desert Sandworm Clan from the Wolf Pack.
Such a massive faction of six hundred million insect-type beings, if driven to disperse or take a hostile stance against the Wolf Pack,
while incapable of shaking the foundation of the Wolf Pack’s dominion, would nonetheless introduce complicating variables.
Thus, Su Lin only bestowed upon the Northern Desert Sandworm King a spiritual will, similar to the suggestion he had previously conveyed to the Fox-tail Algae:
“Whatever you desire, you must claim it from the battlefield!”
And to claim something from the battlefield, the Northern Desert Sandworm Clan faced only two choices:
One: Forcefully seize the Blessed Land of Burial Cow Valley from the Mongol Empire and declare themselves monarchs, thereby waging war against the Wolf Pack.
The second choice, by extension, was self-evident.
The Northern Desert Sandworm King and its clan were not fools; surely, they would know how to choose wisely between these two options!
So, when the Wolf Pack’s grand ceremony of rewards and the feast for all had concluded, the Northern Desert Sandworm King was the first to lead its clan in a swift departure.
Receiving a choice and an opportunity from the Wolf Lord, it now knew well what it must decide.
Aside from the Northern Desert Sandworm Clan,
the other leaders of the Blessed Lands and Beta Grade War Generals who had arrived at the Wolf Pack also bid farewell to the Wolf Lord, departing with their bestowed pure resources.
Even the Six Great Kings of the Senro Tribe and Mei Erjing deeply expressed their respect to Su Lin upon departing.
This was not merely because the Senro Tribe visibly submitted to the Wolf Pack Civilization; during these few days, their knowledge of the Wolf Pack and its Wolf Lord had overturned their previous notions in ways that profoundly shocked them.
Within just a fleeting number of days, the Six Great Kings and Mei Erjing found themselves, deep down, inexplicably accepting the Wolf Pack Civilization.
This realization came as a surprise even to them.
Was it the Wolf Lord’s undeniable strength that could strike fear into the entire world, the unrivaled supremacy of the Wolf Pack Civilization, or the truly perfected systems of advancement, governance, coordination, and distribution within the Pack?
Whatever it may be,
by the time they departed, the previous tensions that lingered upon their arrival had vanished, replaced by an inner conviction:
This Wolf Pack, which had fought its way out of the bitter Arctic Tundra step by step, had every reason to exist and prosper!
“Sea Accepting All Rivers; Open to All Teachings!”
Within the Wolf Pack Civilization, they had witnessed this truth firsthand!
While the various factions began to leave the Wolf Pack Headquarters,
Su Lin nonetheless bestowed extra pure resources to Flash Star, Cripple Wolf, Tiffany, Rock Thunderbird, Fox Wolf, Silver Ringed Pit Viper, and Black-striped Wolf.
At the same time, he reminded Flash Star, Cripple Wolf, and other Blessed Land Beasts to avoid unwarranted internal conflict;
If they truly wished to compete for superiority, they could venture into the deep sea to hunt marine creatures and factions to measure their prowess!
After all, as the powers within the world became increasingly distinct, only the Deep Sea Tribe retained its enigmatic presence—heard of, but unseen.
Upon reaching King Level and transforming into a new species, terrestrial creatures could venture into the ocean for battle.
Then why wouldn’t marine beasts be capable of setting foot upon land for conflict?
Thus, sending Flash Star and Cripple Wolf to hunt marine creatures was an indirect probe into the Deep Sea Tribe.
For Su Lin, the Deep Sea Tribe was a persistent shadow looming heavily in his thoughts.
Even now, he vividly remembered the time his life faced its gravest peril—within the deep sea.
He could only wonder whether the Giant King Squid from back then still existed,
and if so, to what level it had ascended.
After issuing his instructions and distributing the top-level resources, Su Lin then signaled for the factions to return.
These leaders, who had risen within the Wolf Pack and developed deep emotional ties to it, ultimately led their followers to depart with faintly reluctant glances.
These weren’t the same beasts who had once followed the Wolf Lord into bloodstained battles across the world; now, they bore the heavy responsibilities as leaders of the various Blessed Lands.
As for Wolf Mom and Wolf Dad, they left alongside Black-striped Wolf, Moon Fox, Shadow Moon Swallow, and other elite beasts, returning to the Shangu Territory.
After all, that was the region where they had originally grown up.
While the Wolf Pack Headquarters might offer greater security, it still felt alien to them in some ways.
Meanwhile, Wolf Sister prepared to travel to the Mount Almo Blessed Land.
She had found her favored mate—the offspring of the Grassland Wolf King.
Though Su Lin wasn’t satisfied with Wolf Sister’s choice, he didn’t stop her in the end.
After all, with his own ascending power, his genetic composition and bloodline had become increasingly dominant; the prospect of mating or bearing offspring was untenable with any partner.
Thus, continuing the genetic legacy of Wolf Mom and Wolf Dad rested solely on Wolf Sister and Big Wolf.
Formerly known as the Wolf Queen, Su Lin’s cousin was kept by his side.
Though her former status as Wolf Queen had been abolished, she was ultimately Su Lin’s most trusted confidant and close kin.
Given her unsuitable circumstances for seeking other mates, staying with Su Lin could provide her some solace, while enabling her to assist him with logistical matters.
As the Wolf Pack Civilization grew into its current vastness, logistics management was set to become one of its most critical functions.
Su Lin temporarily took on the role of Commander for the logistics division—not wanting disputes over resource allocation to arise among the diverse factions of exotic beasts and Blessed Lands.
His cousin’s presence alleviated much of this burgeoning responsibility from his shoulders.
In the days that followed,
as the various exotic beasts returned to their respective regions, the Southern Territory Mountains Range Main Base resumed its tranquility once again.
Newly established divisions, such as Logistics, the Information Center, and the Database Center, were rapidly mobilizing personnel and beasts for their ranks.
Su Lin reassigned Dolores, who had previously managed logistics, to oversee the back mountain where the Supreme Commander of Great Russia was held.
Since the esteemed woman couldn’t bear to be separated from her grandfather, it only made sense to position her to guard him closely.
The logistics division expanded to include over one hundred thousand humans, thirty thousand wolves, thirty thousand foxes, and several hundred thousand members of the Flying Bird Tribe.
The Information Center comprised scouts from the Fox Tribe, Flying Bird Tribe, and humans.
From now on, however, these scouts would no longer be under their respective divisions but instead directly managed by the Information Center.
The Database Center brought together numerous spiritual-type Arctic Silver Foxes and humans mobilized by Lev. With the distribution of tracking wristbands and microchips, the future center was poised to oversee the Wolf Pack’s overall situation comprehensively.
The establishment of these new divisions signified the Wolf Pack transitioning from a savage era of “wolfing blood” to a refined era of civilization.
True cutting-edge technology, once driven solely by humanity, would now also be pioneered by the Wolf Pack Civilization.
At the Headquarters, beyond the construction of the new divisions, most exotic beasts occupied themselves with recuperation.
They still hadn’t fully absorbed and processed the blessings they received during the civilization’s recent jump—the astounding Fortune and Thundercloud Power. Now coupled with the top-grade resources bestowed by the Wolf Lord,
every Wolf Pack exotic beast stood ready to undergo a qualitative leap in power upon their full absorption and utilization.
Yet as Su Lin observed the Wolf Pack achieve order and eliminate rival threats across the Northern Cold Region,
his light-blue Wolf Eyes fixed coldly upon Vincent’s War Fortress, a flicker of frost flashing across them. He let out a faint sigh, as a spectral Spiritual Will lingered beside him.
“It’s time.”
Su Lin had kept Vincent without action for so long—now the time had finally come to deploy him.
A human undercover agent?
Su Lin intended for Vincent to witness with his own eyes how the Human Alliance, for whom he had sacrificed everything, betrayed the Wolf Pack, and even risked his life, would crumble under false intelligence deliberately spread by Su Lin himself!
Did they really believe top-level power struggles were confined to the battlefield?
Did they think Su Lin had spared Vincent, a human undercover agent, purely out of past sentiments or compassion?
Many times, properly used undercover agents could deliver devastating results!
Since Vincent had chosen sides against the Wolf Pack, he couldn’t blame Su Lin for being merciless.
Frankly speaking, Su Lin never truly harbored personal animosity against the Dragon Country Human Alliance to the point of yearning for rivers of blood and mountains of corpses. But the actions they had taken—one incident after another—had already crossed his thresholds.
Had the Wolf Pack failed to thwart the apocalyptic nuclear strike during their civilization’s advancement, what would have been the outcome?
What would have been Su Lin’s fate?
Words like “rivers of blood” or “mountains of corpses” couldn’t even begin to convey the magnitude!
The Wolf Pack merely raised the blade. It had been the Human Alliance who swung it first.
If the intent was a fight to the death with the Wolf Pack, then so be it!
Schemes and open strategies; in this clash between top-level factions, which side would ultimately emerge victorious?
