Demon CEO's Hidden Love: Mr Grayson Stole Me From My Abusive Husband-Chapter 212: Disciplining Gone Wrong
Chapter 212: Disciplining Gone Wrong
It all felt surreal to Cassie, as she walked into the old man’s mansion. This man was Brooke’s actual father? How the hell could a useless nobody like her older sister have such a stroke of good luck?
"Welcome, madam Cassie." A line of maids greeted at the entrance, Cassie fought back a scoff, the situation seemed nothing but absurd to her.
The old man cleared his throat then announced to the staff, "I trust that you have made all the necessary preparations for Cassie’s stay here. She’s very tired, so please have dinner on standby."
"Yes sir Reginald." The head maid responded, then dispensed her workers to carry out their various tasks. She turned to Cassie, "Please, allow me to show you to your bedroom."
Cassie took her bag off her shoulder and tossed it to the maid not caring to be gentle, fortunately the head maid was able to catch it before it fell.
She looked to her employer, Mr Reginald, but he had equal stun in his eyes.
"Well don’t just stand there! Show me to my room!" Cassie raised her voice, startling the woman.
"Of course, madam Cassie." she swiftly responded then led her towards the fleet of stairs.
As soon as they left, Julian went to Susan’s bedroom, from the door he could hear Kayden and his sister talking, he heard a bit of arguing but he couldn’t decipher what was being said.
He turned around, deeming it not a good time to see either of them, but her bedroom door was suddenly pulled open and out of it came a pissed off Kayden, wearing a deep scowl.
"Kayden-"
His son stormed past him, not sparing a single glance. Shortly after Susan rushed out to follow, but he held her back, shaking his head slowly from side to side he discouraged her from pursuit.
"I can’t expect him to accept any of this easily, let’s give him some space." he suggested.
Susan sighed, "Why did you bring her here now? What happened to waiting things out?"
Her brother released her hand and reached into his pocket, he pulled out a clear disposable bag and passed it to her. "I need your help with something."
She stared at the item and raised a brow, "What are you thinking?" She knew her brother, and he was not one to easily show all his cards. She suspected that was why his lover back then had no idea that he was from a wealthy family.
Julian must’ve intentionally hidden that from her, it was perhaps pure luck that she got pregnant.
In response to her question he told her his plan, "I brought Cassie here to make certain for myself if she really is mine and Serena’s daughter."
Susan blinked twice, "You suspect Serena wasn’t really pregnant with your child?" she couldn’t believe what she was hearing, "Then why did you bring us all the way here if you had your doubts."
He replied, "I’m not completely sure, all I know is that something feels off. Scott is a greedy bastard, and Serena isn’t a saint either, there must be some sort of catch to this game they’re playing with me."
In a lower tone he said, "Make sure to be discreet about it."
Susan nodded, "Of course. But, what if it turns out that this girl isn’t your daughter? What if Scott and Serena were fooling you all these years?"
Julian pinched his chin, "Actually, I think I’ll need something else from you."
"What is it?" She eagerly asked.
"I need to contact the private investigator you hired to find me back then."
Private investigator? Susan pursued her lips, "Why would you need that? Is there someone you’re looking for?"
Julian’s mind involuntarily flashed an image of Brooke in his head, he narrowed his eyes, "No." His tone clearer and firmer he said, "Rather there’s someone I’d like to investigate...." he was saying, but got cut off by the sound of loud voices and bickering!
Cassie couldn’t believe her good luck, after her useless father had gone missing, another one popped up out of nowhere. Slipping into the new clothes, she frowned at how much tighter they were in comparison to her usual fit.
Immediately she used the intercom and called for the head maid!
In less than five minutes the maid rushed in, a worried look on her face. "Madam Cassie, is there something wrong?" The woman asked, her eyes scanning the room for the issue.
"Why the hell do these clothes not fit me?! Did your boss not tell you to make arrangements?! How dare you?!" She scolded the woman.
Helpless the maid responsed, "It was my mistake, I’ll arrange for new clothes first thing tomorrow morning-" she was saying, her eyes darting around from being nervous.
Unfortunately, her gaze landed on Cassie’s protruding stomach whilst she spoke.
"You stupid bitch!" Cassie cut her off with a tight slap to the face!
The maid’s eyes widened in stun, her hand on her cheek she tried to explain, "I didn’t-"
But Cassie grabbed her hair, "You’re looking down on me?! You insolent good for nothing bitch!"
"Please! Let me go-"
Cassie yanked harder on her hair, then forced her to her knees. "You worms are all the same. You need some discipline, or else you won’t learn your place!" She frantically looked around the room, her hand still tugging tightly onto the older woman’s hair.
Her eyes landed on the dinner knife placed next to her plate. Her lips spread into a thin lipped smile. "Perfect."
Dragging the maid over to the bedroom dining table, she picked up the dinner knife and brought it to the maid’s face.
"Stop!"
"No!"
"Someone help-"
"Shut up! When I’m done with you, you’ll know the difference between a worm like you and the boss’ daughter!" She yelled, startling the poor woman scared.
Staring at the hair in her hand she cracked a sinister smile, "As a maid, you don’t need such long hair, do you?" Holding the knife she tried to cut the maid’s hair.
However...
*Smack!*
A hand came in and slapped the knife out of Cassie’s hand.
"Who the hell are you to intervene?!" Cassie raised her angry glare to the man standing in front of her, who looked to be in his late twenties.
The man helped the maid off the floor and told her to leave, completely ignoring Cassie’s presence, infuriating the woman even more.
Slamming her palm on the table she screamed, "I asked who the hell are you?! Don’t you see that the boss’ daughter is asking you something?!" Seeing as he was dressed in plain clothes and his skin was pale, she assumed that he was a nosey servant butting into her affairs.
Calmly, Kayden announced, "I am Kayden, the boss’ son."
