Da Xuan Martial Saint-Chapter 834 - 455 The World Divided into 9 Parts After modification:
Da Xuan Emperor Jing Tai, Ji Yongzhao, has disappeared!
The Qiankun Cauldron has chosen a new ruler, and it has ultimately fallen upon King Han, Ji Xuanfei!
In just under half a month, King Han, Ji Xuanfei, inherits the throne, becoming the new ruler of Da Xuan, with the title Hongzhi.
"King Han has become the new ruler of Da Xuan? Interesting, it seems the Mysterious Mechanism Pavilion’s prediction of the Heavenly Mandate was spot on."
Chen Mu, upon hearing Hua Nongyue’s account, was not surprised about Ji Yongzhao’s disappearance, as Ji Yongzhao died at his hands. It seemed that when Ji Yongzhao went to the Outer Sea to find him, he did so quietly, to avoid interference, and thus, upon his demise, it appeared he vanished without a trace.
The only thing that slightly surprised Chen Mu was King Han’s ascension. Though he had no interest in the struggle between the Eight Princes, he was aware of the situation. From the aspects of power, background, and influence, King Han was one of the least likely to ascend the throne.
Yet, it was King Han who ascended.
One could say that if Ji Yongzhao’s cultivation of the Soul Fusion and Aperture Seizing Evil Methods succeeded, he would have quelled the chaos, preventing any of the Eight Princes from rising. If he failed, he had laid preparations. Yet, it was right after he succeeded that he quietly left the palace, hiding all traces to find Chen Mu, only to fall in the Outer Sea, leading to a complete loss of control over the situation!
When Ji Yongzhao succeeded in the Secret Technique, he almost believed himself invincible. Thus, he made no further arrangements, leading the struggle among the Eight Princes to reach a boiling point, completely out of control, ultimately forcing the Qiankun Cauldron to decide the new ruler, for reasons still unknown, selecting King Han.
The entire process was such that any mistake would have completely prevented King Han’s ascension.
Given the Mysterious Mechanism Pavilion’s early decision to support King Han, their divination of the Heavenly Principles seemed somewhat valid. Yet, divination often leads one astray.
Those who attempt to control fate are bound to be toyed with by it.
The Mysterious Mechanism Pavilion might have indeed foreseen King Han’s ascension, but overlooked Chen Mu’s existence. What they foresaw, while correct, was only a fragment of the whole!
"King Han’s ascension, even if acknowledged by the Qiankun Cauldron, is unlikely to be accepted by the other Eight Princes."
Chen Mu looked at Hua Nongyue and Hua Nongying.
The throne struggle was as fierce as fire and water. If King Jin was recognized by the Qiankun Cauldron, his ascension would likely be uncontested. The other seven princes would struggle to challenge him, subsequently consolidating power and stabilizing the governmental structure swiftly.
But King Han was different. Ranking low among the Eight Princes and having once provoked Chen Mu, losing three Blood Exchange Realm warriors was almost the weakest among them. The higher-ranking princes like King Jin and King Chu would never submit.
"Your insights are correct, my lord."
Hua Nongyue’s voice was clear: "After King Han’s ascension, King Jin and King Chu among others allied, leading to several major clashes in Central Prefecture. Though King Han couldn’t quickly overwhelm them, nor were they able to alter the court’s setup, leading each to depart in anger, splitting the land and governing separately."
Hua Nongyue, holding Hua Nongying’s hand, waved slightly. The sea waters rippled, forming a pattern of black and white lines, quickly turning into a map.
This was a map of Da Xuan Ninety-Nine States.
Previously, Da Xuan Ninety-Nine States were divided into nine domains, each with eleven states. Yet, the map Hua Nongyue now revealed looked entirely different. Aside from the Jingji Road encompassing Central Prefecture, still under the Da Xuan Dynasty Court, the other domains had clearly formed distinct territorial divisions!
Closest to Jingji Road, the Upper Yong Path on the map was no longer named as such but had changed to a single word—Jin! ƒree𝑤ebnσvel.com
Further south, the Nan Guan Path was designated as Chu!
"Half a month after King Han ascended, all six princes except King Liang departed with their forces, splitting the six domains into the states of Jin, Chu, Yan, Zhao, Qing, and Qi. Although nominally still affiliates of the Da Xuan Dynasty Court, they were practically independent."
Hua Nongyue continued describing the shifting dynamics.
King Jin, King Chu, and the other eight princes each had their own fiefs previously, but in size, it was about one county each. Now, each prince returned to his fief, using it as a base to govern the entire domain as their nation.
Though King Han’s ascension was a fact and he sat in the central imperial court of Central Prefecture, the other princes combined could not overturn the power structure. Still, due to weak foundations among other reasons, King Han’s control was limited to Jingji Road.
Against the divided control of the other princes, he was temporarily powerless.
"Six princes each controlling a domain, the court holding Jingji Road, leaving only Cold North Path and Western Pass Domain. In Cold North Path, the Mysterious Mechanism Pavilion had long relocated to Central Prefecture, and Blood Hidden Pavilion was unaccounted for. Furthermore, ’Heavenly Blade’ chose to support King of North Garrison, Yuan Hong. Thus, Cold North Path was under Yuan Hong’s rule."
"As for Western Pass Domain... it’s far west, sparsely populated, more barren than Cold North. Most of it is desert, and the princes had no interest in expanding there. A new force has emerged, controlled by six Great Sects, known as the ’Six Paths Alliance,’ the current rulers of Western Pass Domain."
