Common Sense Hijack System-Chapter 46
Chapter 46: Chapter 46
This time, Karl’s gaze has shifted. The smirk that once hinted at arrogance hardened, turning into a cold, determined stare. Zoey felt a creeping discomfort throughout her body. She knew Karl often exuded excessive confidence, but tonight, something felt different.
"Karl, I thought that order was already done," Zoey said, trying to sound firm despite fear gnawing at her.
"No, Zoey," replied Karl with a low yet pressuring tone. "You haven’t completed my task. There’s one more thing you need to do, and this time, I don’t want any arguments."
Zoey swallowed, trying to control herself. "And what is it?" she asked, her voice almost a whisper. Though scared, she felt compelled to know what Karl had in mind.
"This task will be easy for you." Karl stated.
"Just spit it out, Karl, no need for beating around the bush!" Zoey muttered, occasionally glaring at Karl.
"Lie!"
"Lie? To whom?" Zoey furrowed her brows.
"Chloe and Amber," Karl answered.
Karl wanted Chloe and Amber not to suspect him anymore, this time the tool to complete his mission wasn’t the Hijack Section or the Common Sense Maker, but a hypocritical woman named Zoey.
Chloe and Amber, who were the Homo Obscura, could be obstacles for Karl. Chloe and Amber were Homo Obscura, creatures with extraordinary sensitivity to lies and manipulation. They could read someone’s emotions and intentions, almost like having a trained intuitive ability. Lying to them was a big risk, and Karl knew it.
However, Zoey didn’t know that Chloe and Amber were Homo Obscura. ƒreewebηoveℓ.com
"What for? Don’t tell me you’re targeting them? Tsk.. after another man’s wife, now you’re going after young girls?"
Karl chuckled quietly, murmuring to himself, "To make Chloe and Amber not suspect me, I just need to make them suspicious of someone else hahhaha..." Karl grinned.
"Tsk... disgusting, answer quickly, Karl!"
Karl stared at Zoey with a mysterious gaze, a sly smile on his face enhancing the manipulative aura he exuded. "Relax, Zoey," he said in an almost calming yet uncomfortable tone. "I just want them to suspect someone."
Zoey felt the discomfort taking over. She knew Karl was always cunning, but tonight, his plan sounded even more dangerous. "Suspect someone?" she muttered, trying to understand Karl’s unpredictable thoughts.
Karl nodded, seemingly enjoying the confusion he caused. "Yes, you need to be someone suspicious in their eyes."
Zoey stared sharply, feeling more used, but Karl remained calm and unaffected by her gaze. "So, what exactly do I have to do? What lie do I have to tell them?"
Karl grinned, visibly pleased with the control he had over the situation. He stepped closer, narrowing the distance between them, making Zoey feel the pressure enveloping the space around her.
"You don’t need to lie directly, Zoey," Karl said, his tone low but menacing. "You just need to give them... misleading clues."
Zoey furrowed her brow, trying to understand Karl’s intention. "What clues do you mean?"
Karl smiled slyly, a smile devoid of warmth or comfort, just pure manipulation. "I want you to tell them that, ’They’ll be safe anywhere.’"
"What? Is that all?" Zoey frowned.
"Yes, that’s it,"
Karl smiled thinly, observing Zoey’s confused expression with a satisfying look. As if he enjoyed playing the shadow puppeteer behind the scenes. Zoey furrowed her brow, still unsure of the true meaning behind that request. The sentence seemed simple, but coming from Karl, there must be a hidden agenda behind it.
"And are you sure they’ll suspect me because of that sentence?" Zoey challenged, though a vague sense of fear lingered in her heart.
Karl looked at her with unwavering confidence. "Of course. They’re always interested in the vague, in words that hold mystery. You just need to say it with the right tone, and they’ll start digging... their suspicions will be diverted. They’ll look for who the hidden threat really is, and won’t point their suspicions at me."
Zoey still felt uncomfortable and didn’t fully grasp what Karl meant, but she knew that the more she resisted, the more Karl would press her. "What are you really planning with this, Karl?" she asked in a soft voice, trying to investigate.
Karl just stared deep into her eyes, as if he wanted to convey without saying a word. "You don’t need to know more, Zoey. It’ll keep you safer."
Zoey fell silent, her mind in turmoil. She felt trapped in a game bigger than mere manipulation and she knew Karl wouldn’t let her go that easily. But she also realized that the deeper she got involved, the harder it would be for her to step back.
"Fine," Zoey finally said, succumbing to Karl’s pressure. "I’ll do it. But this is the last time I help with your twisted plans."
Karl chuckled softly, his voice whispering in the darkness.
Zoey averted her gaze, hiding her irritation. She hated realizing how much control Karl had over her. But before she could walk away, Karl pulled her closer and whispered in her ear, "Remember, one wrong word... and you know what will happen."
That warning pierced like a cold blade in Zoey’s spine. She felt her heartbeat quicken, and in silence, she knew she was in too deep to get out of this dangerous game.
Karl’s previously flaccid member suddenly sprang back to life—Karl still wasn’t wearing pants.
"Zoey, it seems there’s a new task for your mouth slrrpp..."
Brugghhh...
Karl got Zoey on her knees. Zoey stared at the frigid floor beneath her, feeling hella embarrassed and helpless. She did NOT wanna be in this situation, but Karl’s icy stare made it crystal clear that resistance would only make things worse. She was out of breath, filled with the rage she was bottling up deep inside. She couldn’t fathom how she’d gotten trapped this deep in Karl’s power play.
Karl looked at her with a satisfied gaze, like he was a frickin’ king who had just conquered a kingdom. He knew damn well that Zoey felt humiliated, but that’s exactly what he wanted. "Zoey, now you should...," he said with a voice that was calm but dripping with authority, "Suck my dick!"
