Chapter 93: Coming Clean

Lily just couldn’t believe those two and she knew it had to do with her because Dimitri had been looking for an excuse to kick Dran’s ass. Ever since he showed up and seen her with Dran he had a sour expression on his face and most of the time he tried to hide it from view. Though when he could catch Lily and Dran enjoying something or they have a small conversation about something, Dimitri had to be right there to see if what they said was true.

Lily was having a serious issue with the way Dimitri was acting since he had never shown this kind of jealousy before. Walking to where she knew they landed it occurred to her that Dran may have started the incident to begin with. She knew he was sweet on her and they had sex the one time, but that doesn’t make her his. She see the two idiots laying on the ground groaning in pain.

"As if that actually hurt you. Get up." The both started to get up realizing she wasn’t going to help them. "Do I want to know what started this?" They both looked irritated at each other then looked away without a word. "Either someone tells me something or I walk. I am not playing games with you guys." Dimitri looked a but nervous as he hasn’t seen her this kind of mad before.

Dran watches her as he walks over to her looking her dead in the eyes. "I told him that you didn’t want to leave yet and he said he would make you leave. I know you don’t like to be forced into anythings, but I thought this was worth defending." Lily was more the capable of fighting her own battles, but Dran did have a point.

Looking over to Dimitri who was still staring at the ground and not at her. "You thought you were going to make me leave? How? You and I both know I don’t go anywhere I don’t want to go." He gave her a pointed look unsure if she knew what he could do. "If needed I know I could give you a command and you wouldn’t be able to defy it. One of the perks of being a dragon." fɾēewebnσveℓ.com

"Excuse me?!" Dimitri knew telling her this would probably cause a bigger problem, but he knew there were more important things to take care of. "You heard me. While I never planned to use it, your behavior says other wise." Lily wasn’t sure what he meant as they had just reunited and she was already dealing with things there. She may have been kidnapped in the beginning, but after seeing this place she wanted to help them more then be mad at them.

"If that’s how you feel about it, I’ll disconnect the bond and rip this mark off my shoulder. Because if that’s how you feel about my attitude, I’d take torture over obedience any day." Dimitri was shocked she would say such things to him. He had hoped she would always be on his side listening and understanding his reasoning, but that may not be the case.

The fear he felt at well from her threat head him moving all over the place. A couple times he tried to reach for her hand, but she never extended her hand out to his. She stayed right where she was waiting for him to take back his words. "It doesn’t matter what you want at this point, we need to get back to the expedition. Peoples lives are at stake and more are dying as we speak. We cannot put this off anymore."

Dimitri may have had a point, but with her current damage she just couldn’t get past how because of one male, his twin brother, was causing him to act this way. "Why are you doing this to me? What gives you the right to dictate what’s right for me?" Dimitri didn’t want to get into this argument with her. There as still more to his brother being left behind and Lily was trying to cope with the issue at hand.

"You became my mate which dictated that I would be the one to protect you and offer you safe haven. Trying to say that this place was secure and no one can get into without certain knowledge. I would say your are stuck with me until one of us dies or breaks the bond. I don’t want to be so hasty. I want you as my mate and I know hearing this seems out of place, but I do love you and only want what’s best for you."

Lily had heard this kind of speech many time before from her supposed family back in the Wolf Clan, but it was always followed up with a beating. Now while Dimitri may not want to beat her, but he still wanted her to go along with his plan of action and do what she’s told. Dran in that moment stepped between the two of them hopefully stopping a serious disaster.

"Look you two have had a long day why don’t you go and rest." Dran was looking just as beat up as Dimitri, but his wounds had mostly healed up from their little skirmish. He knew that his brother had just had a long hard journey and needed a chance to rest for a bit before trying to reason with Lily. Dimitri tried again to step close to her, but by this point she was fed up with the situation and walked off.

"Why does she do that?" Dran asked his brother who was irritated to answer that question. "It won’t matter why she does it if I can’t get her to leave here. We need to find the source of the toxin. Its killing my people."

"Then threatening her to come back with you isn’t how you are going to get back on your journey. Did you even stop to think about what she has done here? Or the people she has helped or touched with her abilities? I may not know what she fully is, but I do know one thing. You can’t cage her or control her choices, only your own."

Dimitri didn’t want to hear this lecture from his twin. He had thought for years the man was dead and had died upon birth, but the person who said he was dead, was miles away to ask. He wondered if his mother knew about Dran and kept it from him.

Watching his mate storm off was a big hit to him since he had never made her this mad before. "There is a servant here who can show you to the room right next to Lily’s. She is staying in a guest area of the settlement. Dinner will be ready before sundown."

Dran nodded to him then proceeded to head back to the living quarters. Dimitri was surprised he would up and leave his people with a stranger, but they had their own way of doing things. Plus, a good number of the citizens here were built enough to take care of themselves in a fight, even with the disadvantages they clearly had.

Speaking with one of the servants walking around Dimitri was directed to the living quarters. His body was starting to drag on from all the stressful incidents that happened. If he had to fight one more person he was now sure he would lose due to the exhaustion going on in his body. Arriving at a door he went in to see it was modest room with a bed, chair, table, and fireplace to keep him warm.

Some food was set on the table a bit cold since it had been sitting for a while. Eating a couple things he sits on the bed running his hands through his hair. *Is this another test? Why this?*

He felt his mind beginning to fog over from needing sleep. Hopefully when he wakes up things will be easier for him to deal with.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

He found himself walking through a dark clouded area stopping at a big wooden door. He pushes on it, then a spark snaps over his hand then the door begins to open. He walks inside seeing all the many different wolf gods depicted on the walls.

At first he thought they might be his possible future if he didn’t change his ways, but each one was different and told a different story. When he reached the end there was someone sitting on the throne at the end of the room. As he got closer he was surprised on who it was. Of course he had to figure this would happen since the the old wolf didn’t like dragons to begin with.

"Well, well, this is a surprise. To find you here in my temple is a strange thing. So to what do I owe the pleasure?" Vestis sat smugly, knowing Dimitri was going to ask him something impossible.

"I need your help."
