Bride of Retribution: Aloof Billionaire's Dominant Game-Chapter 44 - 042 Everything as you wish is fine
Chapter 44: 042 Everything as you wish is fine
"Can I go?" Luna Miller raised her clear eyes to meet his gaze, without any retreat or guilt.
Originally, there was nothing shameful about her relationship with Ethan Baird. Even if there were, it wasn’t her fault; she knew Ethan first and was forced to marry him later. How could it be blamed on her for knowing a male confidant before marrying him?
Life is always full of surprises, and suddenly marrying Atlas Hallow was the biggest surprise of her life.
"What do you think?" Atlas Hallow continued sipping his juice; this kind of tangy-sweet flavor should be something girls like, right? Wasn’t he the one who preferred his black coffee?
"I think you don’t want me to go, so I won’t go." Luna said directly and then added, "If you want me to go, I can go too. Whatever you wish is fine."
In those words, half was serious, half was sarcastic.
"If you can finish all your work before getting off, I don’t object to you going." After saying that, Atlas Hallow got up and left.
He didn’t even have lunch.
This was putting her in a difficult position. Her workload wasn’t much; it was definitely possible to finish before getting off work. So, what did he mean by not objecting if she went?
He generously gave her the opportunity; if she didn’t go, it was her problem. But if she went, wouldn’t he get into trouble?
Luna Miller suddenly lost her appetite too and got up to leave the restaurant.

"Charlotte, I’m already at your company’s reception. Hurry down and get me; I need to see Atlas Hallow." Luna Miller was stopped because she didn’t have an appointment, so she couldn’t take the elevator directly to the CEO’s office floor. She’s really anxious now and has to see Atlas Hallow immediately.
Why is everything happening all at once? Luna felt not only stomach discomfort but even her head started to ache.
Why is Luna looking for Atlas Hallow?
"Sis, what are you going to see him for?" Luna asked softly, quickly taking her into the elevator.
She could guess a bit, but Luna came too suddenly, not even making a call before.
"It’s none of your business." Luna gave Luna an annoyed look, still angry about her unwillingness to help before, so her tone wasn’t good either.
Was it really not her concern? One was her sister, the other her current husband.
"You can’t meet Atlas Hallow without an appointment." Luna stopped Luna, intending to take her to her office. Currently, with Atlas Hallow’s unpredictability, she didn’t want to cause herself any trouble, especially since Luna’s previous talk about investments seemed too sudden.
"Jokes, he’s now the son-in-law of the Miller Family, my brother-in-law; why can’t I meet him?" Luna snorted coldly and rudely headed toward the CEO’s office.
The stiletto heels clattered on the floor, each step a discomforting sound.
"Sis, if you do this, it’s my fault. Don’t make it difficult for me. If it’s about Jack Smith, as I said before, bring the IPO prospectus and box office revenue sharing ratio, and I’ll see what I can do for you." Luna immediately blocked Luna’s path. She had just brought her upstairs to avoid any scene in the Hallow Clan Tower, but she really couldn’t go inside.
Luna is very principled in some matters; work is work, family is family; they’re two different things.
"Luna, don’t think that just because I avoided marrying Atlas Hallow, I owe you something. It’s the Miller Family’s business that you should share." It’s only been a few days, and any guilt Luna felt had vanished.
She already had this plan when she insisted Luna witness her wedding. If she didn’t want to marry, there was Luna; one of them had to live like a widow in marriage, and Luna should be more suited to marrying Atlas Hallow.
Now she’s coming to argue about a mere fifty million, daring to put on airs with her. Does she really think marrying into a wealthy family elevates her?
Now Luna knows she has to bet everything on Jack Smith. If his acting career reaches further heights, she could set up her own studio, becoming the boss’s wife, achieving both wealth and love.
Though forever incomparable to the vast Hallow Clan enterprise, it’s enough.
Now it’s just borrowing a bit of the Hallow Clan’s influence and some funds. What does Luna have to be calculative about?
Speaking of family alliance, isn’t this the kind of thing one should help out with?
"Sis, you don’t owe me anything, that’s right, but do I owe you anything?" Luna’s words inexplicably fueled a fire in Luna.
She had no choice in marrying into the Hallow Family, but the state of affairs with Atlas Hallow over the past few days had truly been too terrible, making her restless and irritably speak louder: "You don’t marry, so I do. Can’t I find a way to free myself? But can you refrain from causing me unnecessary trouble during the process?"
Luna is very rational about certain things. She would help Luna if she brought up the funds for investment because she has to consider the investors’ safety. She has to be accountable to every VIP in "Currency City," but Luna expects her to just hand over fifty million with no explanation—how’s that?
"You free yourself? What do you mean?" Luna suddenly felt she completely couldn’t understand Luna, standing there like a stranger, not at all like the well-behaved second Miss Miller she knew. freēwēbηovel.c૦m
These words left Luna perplexed.
Luna stood just right with her back toward Atlas Hallow’s office. When she blocked Luna at the door, she didn’t notice the office door slowly opening. After Luna said that, she stood in a daze, staring at the tall, handsome man who suddenly appeared behind Luna.
The half-light, half-shadow split the man’s well-defined face into fragments, as if he were godly handsome, yet just as devilishly intimidating...
Suddenly, the strong and frigid aura rising from all sides made her shiver with cold, and Luna sensed the dangerous air closing in on her.
"What are you discussing that you can’t speak in the office?" Atlas Hallow reached out, wrapping his arm around Luna’s slender waist, speaking calmly.
Luna looked a bit stunned at Atlas Hallow, who didn’t avoid being intimately close at all.
Wasn’t Atlas Hallow supposed to be indifferent to women? But as he approached Luna, the intense male pheromones emanating from him began to stimulate her nerves.
