Chapter 131: Chapter 131:Spencer

He, too, had black hair and blue eyes; the only difference was his tall, built, and perfectly proportioned body.

Long legs, narrow waist, broad shoulders, and strong arms that made him look like an athlete.

His sharp features and piercing blue eyes made the air in the room feel heavier. He wasn’t just some ordinary student—his presence alone made that clear.

Zane visibly tensed when he saw the newly arrived young man.

Aurora felt her heart skipping a beat when she saw the newly arrived young man.

"What are you doing here, Zane?" the young man asked, his deep voice filled with suspicion.

Zane let out a short laugh, though it sounded forced. He shoved his hands deeper into his hoodie pockets and shrugged.

"Relax, Spencer. I was just checking on Aurora. Making sure she’s alright."

Spencer?

Is his name Spencer, too?

Aurora thought about the Spencer she had encountered in the other world and felt that all the guys named Spencer were good.

Spencer chuckled, but there was no humor in it. His gaze darkened.

"That so?" He tilted his head slightly.

"Did you know your girlfriend was the one behind the prank?"

Aurora’s breath hitched. She stared at Spencer, her heart pounding. "What...?"

Zane’s face turned pale. "Spencer, shut up," he hissed, stepping closer to him. "You don’t need to—"

Spencer ignored him. His expression remained cold as he looked at Aurora.

"Yeah. His girlfriend was the one who planned it. Guess he forgot to mention that, huh?"

Aurora’s fingers gripped the blanket tightly. "If that’s true... then why did you even rescue me, Zane?"

Spencer’s eyebrows shot up, and he turned to her with a confused look. "Wait. You think he saved you?"

Aurora frowned.

"That’s what he said. I only had a blurry vision of the person who got me out, so I assumed it was him."

Spencer’s jaw clenched, and before anyone could react, his fist slammed into Zane’s face.

The impact sent Zane stumbling back, his hand flying to his cheek. "What the hell, Spencer?!" fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm

Spencer shook his head, his voice like ice.

"Learn to stop stealing credit for other people’s work."

Aurora’s eyes widened in shock. "What do you mean?"

Spencer turned back to her, his expression softer now. "It was me who pulled you out of that room, Aurora. Not him."

Aurora felt like the air had been knocked out of her lungs. She stared at Zane, who refused to meet her gaze.

"You lied," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Zane let out a bitter sigh, rubbing his sore jaw. "It’s not a big deal—"

"Not a big deal?" Aurora’s voice rose, anger bubbling inside her.

"You let me believe you were the one who helped me! And all this time, you knew your girlfriend was the one who did it?"

Zane didn’t answer. His silence was enough.

Aurora turned to Spencer, her chest tightening. "You were the one who saved me?"

Spencer nodded.

"Yeah. And I wasn’t gonna say anything, but since this idiot decided to take the credit..." He shot a glare at Zane, who looked away.

"What is his girlfriend’s name?" Aurora asked Spencer.

"Mandy," Spencer said before Zane could reply. "Oh, right! Just for the record, she is Caroline’s best friend."

Aurora was so angry that she laughed.

Did they think she would let them go after what they did to her?

How naive of them.

If she didn’t make them go through similar pain, her name wouldn’t be Aurora.

Zane left when he saw the look on Aurora’s face. He was scared for his girlfriend and wanted to warn her in advance.

Mandy and Caroline sat in a classroom, huddled around a laptop. The screen showed a bright color video —Aurora, trapped in the dark room, panicking as insects crawled all over her.

Caroline covered her mouth, giggling. "Oh my god, look at her! She’s actually crying."

Mandy smirked, leaning back against her bed. "Of course she is. Who wouldn’t? But she totally deserves it."

Caroline tilted her head. "Do you think we overdid it?"

Mandy scoffed.

"Overdid it? Please. It’s just a couple of bugs and a locked door. It’s not like we actually hurt her."

She rolled her eyes.

"Besides, even if she tries to snitch, what can she do? She has no proof that we did it."

Caroline twirled a strand of her blonde hair around her finger.

"Yeah, but... what if she has someone powerful backing her up?"

Mandy smirked and leaned closer.

"Caroline, don’t be dumb. Your dad and my mom are both trustees of the school. Who’s gonna punish us?"

She raised an eyebrow. "The principal? Please. They won’t dare."

Caroline let out a sigh of relief, then grinned. "You’re right. We own this school."

Mandy crossed her arms.

"Exactly. And just in case Aurora does think about filing a complaint, my boyfriend is handling it."

Caroline blinked. "Zane?"

Mandy nodded.

"Yep. He went to negotiate with her." She smirked. "Not that she has any real choice."

Caroline burst into laughter again. "Wow. We really planned everything, didn’t we?"

Mandy grinned.

"Of course. Aurora can struggle all she wants. It won’t change a thing. Who asked her for being a snake and airheaded b*tch?"

Zane stumbled into the classroom, his face pale as a sheet.

He looked like he had just seen a ghost—or worse. His breathing was uneven, and there was sweat on his forehead, as if he was about to collapse at any moment.

Mandy and Caroline, who had been laughing just moments ago, froze.

"Zane?" Mandy’s eyes narrowed. "What happened to you?"

Caroline leaned closer, studying his face. "You look like you just got hit by a truck."

Zane swallowed hard. "Aurora... she—" He ran a hand through his hair, looking completely shaken.

"She thought I was the one who saved her."

For a second, there was silence. Then—

Caroline burst into laughter, slapping the desk.

"You’re kidding me! That dumb girl actually thought you were her hero?"

Mandy snickered, flipping her hair over her shoulder. "Wow. She really is clueless, huh?"
