Bleach : I Need To Rizz To Become Stronger ?!-Chapter 107: Good Sister & Good Brother
Chapter 107 - Good Sister & Good Brother
No one had expected the Sixth Division to land at the bottom of the rankings — and with a perfect twelve-loss streak, no less.
Though their defeat was largely due to Kasagarō Mitsugorō's early injury, the situation led many to wonder: would the Sixth Division end up dead last in the Exchange Tournament?
And if they did — would the noble sons of the Kuchiki clan really be sent out to sweep the streets of Seireitei?
After the results of the lower-tier bracket were announced, both Matsumoto Rangiku and Shiba Kaien frequently cast glances toward Shin.
The mid-tier bracket was scheduled for the following day — a showdown between seated officers, primarily Sixth and Seventh Seats. Naturally, expectations were higher.
Captain-Commander Yamamoto rose and left, while a few Captains remained behind to chat.
The Captains of the Eighth, Tenth, and Thirteenth Divisions lingered — Kyoraku Shunsui, Ukitake Jūshirō, and Shiba Isshin.
By now, everyone had sensed that something was amiss.
The three of them turned simultaneously to face Shin.
"Do the Captains have some instruction?" Shin asked with a smile.
Ukitake looked troubled. "Shin-kun... wasn't that a bit too much?"
Shin laughed lightly. "Did I do something wrong?"
Kyoraku cut straight to the point. "Kasagarō Mitsugorō's injury cost the Sixth Division twelve matches. According to the rules, they now have to place at the top of both the mid and upper brackets just to avoid last place."
Shin nodded along. "Then they'd better try harder."
Kyoraku sighed. "Tachikawa... do you have some grudge against the Sixth Division?"
Shin feigned confusion. "What are you implying, Captain Kyoraku? Did I break some rule?"
Kyoraku didn't respond. He gave Shin a long, thoughtful look, then turned and left.
Ukitake hesitated, then followed in silence.
Only Shiba Isshin remained.
"You've got guts, kid."
Shin sighed. "Why do I feel like everyone suddenly sees me as public enemy number one?"
Isshin ignored the comment. "You're looking at this too simply."
"What do you mean by that, Captain Shiba?"
"You'll see tomorrow." Isshin smiled faintly. "Even if you did the Shiba clan a favor... even if you gave us a genius... some things can't be said out loud."
After everyone had dispersed, Shin headed to Unohana's office.
"The Captain-Commander isn't pleased," she said calmly.
Shin blinked. "Really?"
"Partly because the Sixth Division lost so badly," she explained. "But mostly because — as Commander-in-Chief — he doesn't want unrest in Seireitei."
Shin was quiet for a moment. Then he chuckled. "Looks like I really have become some sort of villain."
Unohana smiled. "If you were a villain, you wouldn't be standing here safe and sound. At most, a few now see you as someone trying to 'challenge the system.'"
She was referring to the handful who knew this whole event was Shin's doing — Kyoraku, Ukitake, Isshin.
"What about you, Captain?" Shin asked.
"Me?" Unohana's smile didn't falter. "Aren't you simply my Third Seat?"
Shin had no response.
He then made his way to the infirmary where Kasagarō Mitsugorō lay.
The Sixth Division officer had regained consciousness — but had no visitors. No one from his squad had come to check on him.
"Here to gloat?" he asked flatly as Shin walked in.
"I'm not that petty."
"How'd the matches end?" Kasagarō asked.
"Sixth Division — all losses."
He fell silent. After a long pause: "That Aoki kid... something was off. What did you do?"
Shin didn't confirm anything. "Your Captain Kuchiki didn't look too happy when he left. Think he'll take it out on you?"
Kasagarō gave a bitter laugh. "It was my fault to begin with. Besides, Captain Kuchiki's not the kind to take petty revenge. Now, answer my question."
"We just wanted Fourth Division to rank well," Shin said simply.
Kasagarō nodded slowly, as if he believed it.
Shin sighed. "Rest up."
He hadn't known who the Sixth Division would field, so Kasagarō's appearance had caught him off guard.
But it didn't matter — whoever it was, Aoki had to go all out.
The Next Day
The mid-tier bracket began.
Fourth Division's representative was Yajima Teru, their Ninth Seat. Most of their higher-seated officers were healers, not fighters, and Yajima was the most capable among them.
Shin hadn't given him any special orders — just told him to do his best.
Compared to the previous day, the battles were flashier and more intense. Most participants had Shikai, and Kidō usage was common.
The first to take the ring was from the Eleventh Division — quickly defeated by the Sixth Division's Sixth Seat, who then took the position of ring defender.
Yajima didn't step in for some time.
What surprised Shin was the Sixth Division representative's performance — a winning streak that seemed... suspicious.
Watching closely, Shin realized many opponents weren't fighting seriously.
He immediately recalled Shiba Isshin's warning.
Only the Eleventh Division fought at full strength — and lost fair and square.
Shin's gaze drifted to Kuchiki Byakuya — the man's expression was as cold and unreadable as ever.
Yajima finally stepped up — but despite fighting with everything he had, he was swiftly and brutally defeated.
The gap between Sixth and Ninth Seats was real — and Yajima was, after all, from a non-combat squad.
Luckily, the Sixth Division fighter finally lost to a Tenth Division member due to exhaustion.
Sixth Division ended with ten wins in eleven matches.

By day's end, Sixth Division won ten matches, lost two — topping the mid-tier.
Yajima only managed one win out of twelve. He'd done his best.
Cumulatively, the Sixth Division's position now hovered around the middle.
Fourth Division, with only four total victories, had fallen to last place.
Third Division sat just above them with five wins — a fact that had their representative, Hōin Rikū, sweating bullets.
First place went to the Tenth Division — seventeen victories, thanks to Hitsugaya's twelve-win sweep the day before.
After the match, expressions among the crowd were varied.
Some Captains left immediately. Others lingered to chat.
Yajima approached Shin, bowing his head in shame. "I embarrassed the Fourth Division..."
Shin smiled and patted his shoulder. "Not at all. You won a match. That's already impressive."
Kotetsu Isane also consoled him. "Fighting isn't our forte."
Yajima frowned. "This whole thing is hosted by us... and if we lose, we'll have to sweep Seireitei — again. If I'd won just one more match, we'd be tied with Third Division..."
Shin chuckled. "It's not over yet."
"But tomorrow's the upper bracket. Mostly Vice-Captains. The pressure's all on you, Tachikawa-san..."
As the Tenth Division was about to leave, Matsumoto Rangiku strolled over to Shin and whispered with a mischievous grin:
"Want me to throw the match tomorrow? One 'big sister' from you and I might consider it~."
Shin shot back without hesitation. "Only if you're actually stronger than me. Can you even win?"
Rangiku scoffed. "You may be a Third Seat now, but I've been Vice-Captain for over twenty years. Just because you beat me once doesn't mean you're stronger."
Shin teased, "Rangiku-san, how old are you exactly? Twenty years ago I wasn't even born."
Her smile vanished. "You little...!"
Shin grinned. "If you win tomorrow, I'll call you big sister. But if I win, you call me big brother. Deal?"
Her chest heaved in outrage — but then she smirked. "Fine. I hope your mouth's as tough as your skin, brat."
Later that day, another visitor came to see Shin.
Kaisawa — a friend from the Academy — who had been quietly observing the tournament.
"I heard from Vice-Captain Ise. Ichimaru from Fifth Division... he's already achieved Bankai."
"I know," Shin said calmly.
"Be careful tomorrow."
"It's just a spar. Not a deathmatch."
"...Right. I'm heading out."
She left just as quietly.
That evening, Kotetsu Isane brought Shin a folder — files on the participants in tomorrow's upper bracket.
It wasn't detailed, but offered basic intel.
Gin Ichimaru's page didn't mention his Bankai.
"Thanks, Isane-senpai."
Isane, having seen Shin duel Ikkaku, had some faith in his strength. "When it comes to Ichimaru... you don't need to win. Just don't push it. I checked — Hōin from Third Division is the weakest tomorrow. If we can win three matches, we're safe. Our chances are good."
Shin smiled. "So if we win, we send Third Division to sweep the streets? They don't even have a Captain or Vice-Captain right now. Isn't that a little harsh?"
Isane paled. "We can't help that. This isn't about who deserves what — it's about skill. Whoever loses... pays the price."
Shin looked at her, then tucked the folder away. "Understood. I'll give it my best."
She still looked uneasy. Then asked quietly, "Shin... did you have another reason for setting up this whole event?"
"My biggest reason was to make sure our people never have to sweep streets again," he said with a smirk. "As for who does — like you said, the weakest should do it."
He paused, then added with a wink, "And I've got one more reason — our deal, remember?"
Isane's ears flushed red. "W-why do you still remember that...?"
She turned and fled, heart pounding, not knowing if it was from running or something else.
Left behind, Shin smiled to himself, tapping the folder against his palm.
He'd done so little — and yet stirred up so much.
Seireitei prized stability above all else.
But that didn't make the status quo right.
If someone had to sweep the streets...
Why should it always be the same people?
