Awakened: SSS Ranked Soul king-Chapter 142: Random occurrence
"Boy!! Come over here"
In the outskirts of the Blacksteel shelter, in a detached barn barricaded with wooden slabs, a fairly old lady could be seen standing behind the fence wooden slabs with a whip in hand.
"Hm?" A young kid with black hair and facial features very similar to Guillimans raised his head at the woman and frowned.
She was pointing at him ? This was bad.
The lady was an old sadistic witch that enjoyed punishing young workers whenever they came to her for work. Unfortunately, she was the only person that paid unskilled workers in the outskirts well enough for them to feed and didnt up and ensalve them.
"No, I'm talking to the fucking cow behind you. Of course I'm talking to you retard!!" The old lady cursed see the kid act dumb.
They're work didn't need anyone to be a genius, pushing cows and feeding pigs was not a skilled profession after all. But they at least could understand a simple signal.
"Bring your brother and sister with you also" the woman after a sigh added a look of annoyance on her face.
A moment later, herself, and two young man and a girl walked away from the muddy field and towards a tree with a broad shade.
"These are the kids you asked for" The old woman said a gentle bow looking at a young man with long black hair infront of her with a calm expression on his face.
"Thank you madam, much appreciated." The young man
Smiled at the old woman then waved as if dismissing her.
Seeing this, she quickly picked up on the meaning and turned around to leave, leaving the two young men and girl alone with him.
"Hmm" after she left, the young man stared at the kids infront of him for a few seconds contemplating what to say.
They currently had their heads down so they couldn't really see his face so they didn't recognize him.
'Let's start from there then '
He thought to himself then said.
"You may raise your heads" He said to the young men infront of him making them raise their head one after the other.
"Guilliman?" The first to recognize him was Jackson, one of the five children Guilliman had grown up with in the outskirts with his stepfather.
"In the flesh" Guilliman replied throwing a steel dagger into the air and catching it once it came down.
These three, he had grown up with them….or to be precise the original owner of this body had grown up with them. But now that they had merged, it was the same .
"You…" The girls voice shook, her eyes failed her as they became blurry.
Guilliman was their stepbrother, he had been a constant presence all their lives. And although he was quite timid he never really took the initiative to go against them.
Until he did.
His raise to the level of slayer and his defeat of the blackberry head had thrown their family into deesprate strides. Their mother and father were both locked up, their older brother Carlson had to take care of them most times.
But in all honesty, he soon became a very self centered individual that basically pushed them to the dogs when they no longer proved beneficial.
At the end of the day though, everything boiled down to Guilliman. He was the anthesis of their problems.
Then again….was he really the cause?
"Please don't kill us, we had nothing to do with them selling you off like that. We….just want to be left alone" Jackson blurted out, a sign of pleading and anger in his tone .
Their entire life had been flipped around by just one act, and although they didn't believe they were in the right they couldn't just sit there and act like they were happy about such an outcome.
They couldn't fight back right now though, so they just wanted to be left alone.
"Shut up Jackson, I don't care about what you want" Guilliman sneered looking at Jackson.
Well the kid was still quite innocent, he was just around the corner of indoctrination so he still held malice.
However, the other two weren't like that.
"I'm not here to kill you, this is more of a last wish visit.." Guilliman said a calm appeared on his face.
He had been around the shelter a couple times in the past few days. And except Victorias cohort, the old devil…he didn't really have anything holding him here.
It felt strange, he didn't have anything holding him here originally so….why was he looking for something.
"Last wish? Are you dying?" The girl beside Jackson asked a look of fear in her eyes.
She was the youngest, and her name was Caroline, the same as he real sister. And even though she was shitty half the time, just the name made him feel pity.
"No…I'm just going on a journey" Guilliman shook his head.
His phrasing seemed off, but was quite correct. It was a last wish visit since he had no intentions of coming back here in the near future.
There was still a lot he needed to do.
"Anyway, I won't waste your time, I hear Carlson died last night? Bummer. I don't really care. But the three of you are still kind of family so I'll help you out" Guilliman spoke well paced.
He had first gone to find Carlson thinking since he should be a slayer by now he would be taking care of his siblings. He met the fool In a bar with a knife in his back. It was a gruesome scene.
Apparently he had gotten into a group fight and was stabbed in the back.
"Wait,,,.brother Carlson is what…" Jackson wanted to speak, but Guilliman glared at him from the corner of his eyes .
They knew he was a slayer, so they all feared him. Of course they didn't know the extent but of his powers. But for a normal person, being a slayer was enough to make one a threat.
"Here's 10,000 gold, it's a lot." Guilliman threw a bag of gold to the ground and explained .
" you can convert it to credits and get a place to stay. Send Caroline to good training center and make sure she becomes a slayer" Guilliman gave instructions.
He didn't really care for them, he was just acting on impulse, but that was a reflection of how much more mighty he was both morally and physically. He could do what he wanted because he could afford to do it.
"Be careful though, that's a huge traget. My advice is you leave here in now and go to an administrative block to cash this in…." Guilliman spoke while standing up from the wood stump in the ground.
"I'm not going to protect you so be careful and goodbye forever"
Guilliman
said then all of a sudden he walked off not giving them a chance to react.
From when he dropped the bag of coins on the ground to when he left about 30 whole seconds passed, but they still couldn't process what had just happened.
Not only did he not come here to kill them, he actually had the mind to give them assistance? What kind of logic was this?
They didn't know and Guilliman didn't know either. freēwēbnovel.com
But after parting ways today, they knew it would be hard to see each other once again.

After leaving, Guilliman walked through the shelter once again slowly exploring places he had seen but not dared enter when he first got here.
Compared to Ravens keep, the Blacksteel shelter was lacking. And that was saying a lot. Ravens keep was a ruin.
"Probably just a low-level shelter" Guilliman mused.
Shelters were divided into three tiers from what Guilliman knew. They were low-level, intermediate-level, and high-level. Each of them were leaps ahead of the former in terms of development.
Ravens keep was a High-level shelter…maybe something higher.
But compared to the Blacksteel shelter? Well, he couldn't really say.
"Hm?" Taking a turn and entering a wide courtyard, Guilliman paused at a sight in his peripheral vision.
Victoria was standing at the edge of the wooden staircase boiling with anger at a letter in her hand.
'The old fart is stillw nowhere to be found I see' Guilliman thought to himself, a bitter smile appeared on his face.
The general consensus among the cohort was that the old man was just an irresponsible father who disappears and reappearsw as whenever he wants.
But Guilliman knew better, he knew that the Silversteins were still under contact pressure from unknown powers, so the old man's
occasional disappearance wasn't so abnormal.
Though, according to the servants In the house, the old man had been gone for months now. Much longer than he had ever been out. The only other time he had left for so long was in her childhood so it brought out traumatic memories.
Memories that made her panic.
