Armipotent-Chapter 1879: Searching The Floor Boss (1)
Zhang Mengyao announced the exploration could be continued, and she sent four teams out to look for their resource points. Out of the ten resource points owned by the Earth Alliance, The Tang Empire owned four of them.
When Tang Shaoyang initiated the conflict, she recalled all the workers and guards. So before sending the workers back to the resource points, she had to make sure that no one occupied them.
Meanwhile, she did not continue her exploration, waiting for the Gondar Alliance. Her husband was confident that they would contact them just like the Valuer Empire and The Etherna Alliance. She did not know what her husband did, but that might be the two forces that told the Gondar Alliance about her husband's second identity, an Executive Administrator.
Zhang Mengyao finally started to understand how big a deal this administrator was when she found out about the Valuer Empire and the Etherna Alliance's reaction. As her husband said, she did not take it a big deal when her husband shared the story about the administrator and his work.
Her husband was not wrong because thirty minutes after he left. A messenger from the Gondar Alliance came knocking and asked for a meeting. The messenger specifically mentioned conflict resolution and also compensation.
She agreed to meet the Gondar Alliance's representatives since it was her husband's decision to agree with them. She knew why her husband wanted her to agree, her husband had to leave in six days, and he wanted to resolve the conflict.
Zhang Mengyao did not like how her husband resolved the issue, all the killing thing. However, the method was super effective, and he solved the problem in two days. She realized that she also had not fully accepted the new reality. She still hoped everything would return to normal like before the Game, but it could never be the same anymore.
Even if they could resolve the issue on Earth, they still had to face the force from the other worlds that for some reason, they really want to take Earth for some reason. If they were not strong enough, then it would be just a matter of time for them to fall. They would die to defend their world, or the worst would be enslaved by the invader.
Her thoughts were interrupted by her assistant who informed that the Gondar Alliance's representatives had arrived. She put the thoughts back on her head and focused on the meeting with the Gondar Alliance.
*** ***
Tang Shaoyang had heard what kind of monsters and natives from the TEID around their city. He skipped most of the places mentioned by TEID as they provided no entertainment or even a level. Most of the monsters were around Primordial Rank and Legend Ranks. They found a few Demi-God Ranks, but it was rare to find a Demi-God Rank, let alone a God Rank.
Most of the natives were human, but his people also found a tribe of beastmen as well. Each village or tribe would have one Demi-God Rank. It would be a great asset for the Tang Empire, and he found out that the other factions would not take them.
These people were punished and banished into the dimensional tower for using something they were not supposed to, a loophole in the System, or they lost the war from defending their world and chose to live in the dimensional tower rather than living under their enemy.
The other factions did not take them in because they regarded them as troublemakers. They might get troubled if the people they recruited were the people who broke the System's rules. No one wanted to get imprisoned for a silly mistake.
Tang Shaoyang did not think about taking them in, but he realized that he might need more people than he had to fight the Nirvana Alliance.
'Maybe we could use the same trick we used in the Fortuna Guild.'
He glanced at the mini-map that he purchased before leaving the city and noticed that he had passed the area that had been scouted by his people. He had been cruising in the sky, going in one direction, and kept going as he entered the new area.
His goal was to go to the second floor and maybe reach the tenth floor in five days. From the information his people gathered, he needed to find the boss floor to get to the second floor. From his previous experiences, there were three patterns for the boss floors.
The first pattern was when he killed enough monsters and beasts, the boss floor would appear on their own. The second pattern was to find something like a gate or tower as the boss floor would reside in that kind of place. The third pattern was a random encounter. That was right, sometime the boss floor would run around, and he met them through luck.
He could summon his spirits and also a skeleton army to wipe out the monster and beast. If he was still a low-leveled Demi-God Rank, he might resort to such a method. However, killing the monster and beast did not give him any benefit since their rank was Demi-God Rank and lower. Not only did it not benefit him, but it even might harm his people, having no monster and beast to fight. That would slow their progress, and it would be better to leave them alone for his people.
That meant he must rely on the second method, looking for the place where the boss' floor resided. If he was lucky, he might encounter the boss floor that roamed around.
"Let's go further from the city and ask the natives," Tang Shaoyang muttered as he was looking for a settlement right now.
The boss floor is usually far from the city, which was why he kept going instead of turning around and asking about the settlement he passed by. Most likely those people would not know where the boss floor was since they stayed close to the city.
Tang Shaoyang picked up the pace and ignored the flying beast in the sky and the monster on the ground. His Chaos Eyes were active, looking for a settlement. A few minutes what it took to find a settlement, and he made sure it was a human settlement. His goal was to ask for a location, and if he came to a beastmen or other races' settlement, they might be hostile against him. Despite his race change, his appearance still looked like a human except for his eyes.
The village was bigger compared to the villages he passed by earlier, and it was a human settlement. The two guards were human, wearing leather armor with a spear in their hands. He estimated there were more than a hundred houses in the village, surrounded by the wooden fence.
He went over and landed in front of the two guards. The two were startled and raised their spears at him.
"I don't want to fight," Tang Shaoyang raised his hands in the air.
The two guards visibly relaxed when Tang Shaoyang raised his hand to the air. Their tense shoulders slightly slumped, but they still had their spears at Tang Shaoyang.
"Who are you? Where are you from? What do you want?" One of the guards threw the question at Tang Shaoyang. They had conflict with the other villages, but they would recognize Tang Shaoyang from the villages they were in conflict with. They did not recognize Tang Shaoyang's weird clothing, and the dark crimson eyes were somehow intimidating, yet they still braced themselves to question the man.
"I would like to ask for a location. Do you know where the boss floor is?" Tang Shaoyang ignored the first two questions, but that should answer who he was.
He was a player from outside the tower. That answered the first two questions because only players from outside would ask such a question. Only players were allowed to defeat the boss floor and climb up.
The two guards exchanged glances as a realization sunk in. Their shoulders tensed up once more, and both tried to communicate through their eyes, not wanting their guest to hear it. Those who were punished by the System lost their Detection Skills. They could not tell Tang Shaoyang's rank. That made them nervous, but with how confident the player was, that told them the person might be stronger than them
Tang Shaoyang could see the uneasiness radiating from the two guards. Their eyes kept looking back and forth between him and their friend. Through his Absolute Sense, he could tell that both did not have the answer as well.
Tang Shaoyang turned around and was about to leave but one of them called out to him, "Wait!"
He turned his head to the guard, "Don't try something stupid. I don't want to fight, but it doesn't I am not going to kill you if you do something stupid."
"No! No! No!" The guard shook his head and quickly explained, "We don't know the location, but our Village Chief might know what you are looking for. We are a guard, rarely going outside even for hunting. We don't know the place you are looking for, but our Village Chief might."
