Chapter 202: Chapter 197: Nemo (Double Monthly Tickets! Thanks to the Good Book Uncle Alliance Leader)

On the Infinity side, three vehicles drove out from car number 11. Led by Shu Qin and Lu Xingchen, a dozen armed individuals moved along the main road toward Rain Town. Meanwhile, for better mobility, Lin Xian had constructed another motorcycle, on which he, KIKI, Lv Chang, and Miao Lu split up to circle along the outskirts of the town, avoiding the main thoroughfare to head to the chemical plant.

The building and Shasha remained to guard the vehicles with heavy weapons. On board were Director Ding and some support staff with lesser combat skills.

"Shu Qin, Brother Huo, I’ll repeat your mission. Cause some noise. There are Abnormal Bodies around those buildings, so stay alert. If another convoy attacks, immediately retreat toward the train."

"Understood, my true self is aware."

"Got it," said Shu Qin.

"Teacher Chen, prioritize monitoring Shu Qin’s convoy. If there’s a situation, provide fire support directly and also watch for targets approaching the platform."

"Got it."

"Lou Shasha, the security of the vehicles is your responsibility. Shu Qin and I might retreat here at any time. If there’s pursuit, you need to provide fire cover."

Lou Shasha was in car number 2 at the time, using the Sentinel System to monitor the surroundings of the train. On another screen, the fire control system 1130 wasn’t activated yet but was online.

"Brother Lin, don’t worry. If anyone dares to mess with our vehicle, my brother and I will blow them to pieces."

After delegating the tasks, Lin Xian mounted his motorcycle, with KIKI riding along, heading for the edge of the platform. Behind them, Lv Chang and Miao Lu followed, holding a large box on their motorcycle.

The vehicle engines roared on the platform, with the curtain of sunrise breaking the city’s tranquility.

On a high-rise in a small alley of Rain Town, Luo Rui lay on a deck chair, holding binoculars to keep an eye on the platform’s direction. He held a can of fruit in his other hand and appeared rather leisurely.

"There is a path to heaven you do not take, but you charge into the doorless hell. Brother Ding’s tactics are too mild. If fed as blood sacrifice, these high-level Superpower Users could have ensured our peace for at least a month or two."

Before Luo Rui, there were two walkie-talkies. He picked up one, calling, "Fatty, Guo Cheng, what’s the situation with that train now?"

Just then, a voice came over the walkie-talkie, "Brother Rui, I kept an eye on it all night. There are many cars but not many people. At most, no more than 50. Excluding the elderly, weak, sick, they might have 30 active personnel. Three vehicles left earlier, with about a dozen people. Their two Superpower Users are riding motorcycles along the north line into the town, likely heading to the chemical plant."

"Chemical plant?" Luo Rui frowned, "Ding Qing was spot on; there’s no guns or cannons there, yet they rush in to become blood sacrifices."

"Brother Rui, most of their main force is out. There shouldn’t be strong firepower left on the vehicles, and it seems like they suffered significant losses last night."

Luo Rui nodded, "With an impostor mixed in, a few probably died."

"Brother Rui, what do we do? This is a golden opportunity." The lookout on the other end of the walkie-talkie was eager.

"Why are you in such a rush?" Luo Rui picked up the binoculars and saw the three vehicles speeding toward the small town, sneering, "Let’s hide well and see what they’re up to. We’re in the dark and can handle them anytime."

"Got it."

Soon, the hidden sentries in each corner of Rain Town focused their gaze on the three vehicles headed by the armored car. Just as these people thought they were here for revenge, they found those vehicles stopping directly outside the street. Then a dozen people got out, started searching the buildings along the street, and quickly a lot of gunfire was heard; a house began to burn fiercely.

Through the binoculars, Luo Rui watched this scene, his face filled with shock and incomprehension.

"Damn, do these people have a screw loose? Are they planning to search for us one by one, or maybe looking for impostors for revenge?" The voice on the walkie-talkie was full of wonder.

"What fools." Luo Rui sneered, "I thought these guys came over to do something. There are quite a few monsters in those houses; they’re just courting death."

"Exactly, if that’s their operation, they likely won’t last two hours."

Luo Rui originally thought those from the three vehicles came to confront them, considering they had tricked them last night. But it turned out that group was directly attacking impostors, confusing Luo Rui.

Looking for resources, this small town had long been stripped clean. Trying to find people by searching each house was like dancing on a minefield. Those impostors couldn’t all be killed, such a waste of bullets.

Witnessing this scene, Luo Rui’s eyes sharpened as he grabbed the walkie-talkie, "Send teams one and two to move in from the east and west directions; Guo Cheng leads team three to blow up the track to block the path. Fatty, lead your people to draw them out; toss in a few bone worms. Don’t show yourselves. That train armor is really hard."

"Understood."

"Brother Rui, what if they don’t show up by nightfall?"

Luo Rui glanced toward the chemical plant, "Then wait for Brother Ding. Once their leaders are dead and the track is blown up, they’ll be sitting ducks, and it’s up to those on the train to decide if they want to die comfortably or painfully."

"Got it!"

Upon receiving the command, more than a dozen vehicles and fifty people concealed in the town corners and the outskirts began quietly moving along small roads toward the platform to encircle it.

A group of vanguard then rode motorcycles carrying explosives, swiftly maneuvering toward the track.

Elsewhere, Lin Xian rode his motorcycle quickly toward the chemical plant. The morning mist rose over Rain Town after the heavy rain, and Lin Xian looked at the towering cooling tower, feeling a slight heaviness in his heart.

"Lin Xian, you were right. Someone is approaching the platform from the town outskirts."

Chen Sixuan’s voice came through the communicator. Lin Xian heard the slight tension and instantly commanded firmly, "Keep an eye on them, don’t reveal yourself, wait for my signal."

"Understood."

From the top of a warehouse, Chen Sixuan lay hidden, observing the convoy through a sniper scope, her breathing slightly irregular. She tried to calm herself, and things around her seemed to quieten significantly.

In the scope, the fast-moving figures seemed to slow down in her eyes, capturing even the facial expressions of those talking in the cars sharply.

For some reason, after adjusting her breathing and mindset, her mind quickly calmed down, and the nervousness and cowardice in her heart were neatly contained. She relished this serene yet focused state.

On another front, as Lin Xian and KIKI’s motorcycle approached the chemical plant, they noticed several heavy vehicles already parked outside, with over a dozen armed personnel standing guard. Ding Qing, wearing Exoskeleton Power Armor and holding that black rifle, stood in the middle. Next to him was a woman named Duan Min, seemingly anticipating Lin Xian’s group.

"Indeed, it’s just a bunch of Nemos." Lin Xian watched from afar, and spoke in a deep voice.

"Should we rush in directly?"

KIKI slowly levitated from the motorcycle’s rear seat, raising her hand to release a Shock Wave.

Boom!

The white mist was shockingly dispelled, clearing the surrounding view instantly.

This display was like a divine intervention. The gunners in the chemical plant immediately raised their rifles toward KIKI in the air.

At this moment, Ding Qing raised his hand to halt them and glanced at Lin Xian, his eyes shifting as he loudly said,

"Since you’ve left, why come back?"
