Chapter 227: Chapter 153 Contracting Rich District_2

Olivia: It’s thanks to the homeowner’s guarantee. I mentioned you needed this job to my boss, and she contacted the manager to swap out some people.

Allen: I really can’t thank you enough!

Olivia: Honey, thanks should not be just spoken. You need to prove it with actions! Remember to coordinate the business in the Rich District.

Allen: ok.

Allen felt like he’d have to take a hit of ten billion just to repay this favor.

He opened the app and took a glance at today’s daily report.

[Daily Report: Alfred Waste Recycling Station will receive a recycle job, located in the basement storage of Apartment 566 in the Holy Mountain Community of the Fifth District. Among the broken cardboard, there is a 1:1 scale model of a 1960 Christmas special edition Bazooka Rocket Launcher and the 1805 ship license for the United States.]

[Daily Report: Your friendly neighbor Jesse will meet a rock music fan from Florida at the restaurant at 2:26 PM, who is a habitual online scam artist.]

[Daily Report: The waste recycling station’s liaison in the Crown District heard that you want to compete with them. Got fired and decided to wait for you to finish the deal then lead people to encircle and intercept you, challenging you to a street fight.]

Allen: ?

You think you’re Batman? Fighting in the streets.

What a small Calamari, the General Sect Leader must really not take them seriously. Come on, if you’ve got the guts!

Like someone capable would get fired so easily.

[Daily Report: Your Sunkist Bar has caught the eye of a Black gang, they wish to pay $15,000 and a 20% profit share to take over the second half of the business operations and are prepared to discuss this with you.]

Wow, all the good things are piling up on the same day.

But he had no intention of getting involved with these Black people in the drug trade; he’d rather earn less than end up behind bars.

Allen immediately got out of bed, washed up, woke Dominic, and gave him today’s work instructions.

If you encounter a valued item during a pickup service and can’t decide, just stockpile it and I’ll take it to the pawnshop when I have time later.

Dominic agreed happily, as his experience in the recycling business couldn’t match that of the General Sect Leader. But he had plenty of experience collecting cans, and he hadn’t sold the Apple computer he picked up yesterday either.

After getting up and washing up, Jennifer also proactively offered to cook, and after considering, Allen agreed.

Thankfully, the breakfast she made wasn’t too delicious but wasn’t too hard to swallow either; after all, Western dishes like sandwiches and fried eggs are easy to make if you have hands.

He also asked Dominic to call Jesse over for breakfast.

Thinking of the information mentioned in the report, Allen asked at the table, "What are your plans for work today?"

Dominic replied, "Of course, I’m going to the recycling station to do business."

"Keep fishing online. The guy who traded Bitcoin with us the day before yesterday still hasn’t spent a single cent. Looks like it’s a no-go."

Jennifer bit into her sandwich with frustration, "I curse him to lose everything in Las Vegas and sleep on the streets." fɾēewebnσveℓ.com

"That’s not a curse, that’s practically a blessing!" Jesse seriously said, "A real curse would be him accruing huge gambling debts and getting chopped up by loan sharks, having his organs harvested, and then being filled with concrete and dumped into the sea."

"..." The three at the table were stunned by her words.

Allen then asked her, "Do you have any plans for today? How’s the can recycling work been these last few days?"

"Dragging myself through the day. Anyway, I don’t expect to make much money, nor do I find gold or diamonds," Jesse said cheerily. "I’m meeting a friend from the internet this afternoon. We both love music and have a lot to talk about."

"Then you better be careful; there are a lot of scammers around," Allen warned.

"You mean like Jennifer here?" Jesse pointed at the West Coast rose.

"Hey! What’s your deal?" Jennifer was bothered, "You can talk about me now? I made your breakfast!"

"I’m done eating. You guys invited me over, should I throw it back up from my mouth?" Jesse chuckled, "C’mon, I’m just telling the truth. You’ve got a sugar daddy now, of course, you don’t want others talking about you."

"Who is my sugar daddy? Allen? He’s just a friend," Jennifer retorted, "We appreciate each other, a supply and demand relationship, I haven’t asked him for anything!"

Allen nodded in agreement. Jennifer hadn’t asked for money; instead, she volunteered to buy him supplements and new sunglasses. But he also invested a lot in her, for sure a few hundred billion!

The two began a relentless debate.

Allen then looked toward Dominic, "You and Jesse get along so well, aren’t you worried about her being scammed?"

After a few seconds of silence, Dominic spoke, "I feel like I should be more worried about the scam artist’s safety because the last person who tried to cheat Jesse and take advantage of her... his lower body’s functionality has been scrapped."

"Okay." Allen wasn’t expecting Jesse to be so fierce – seemed she was kind of crazy.

Hearing Dominic say so, he wasn’t too worried anymore, worst comes to worst he’d ask Sieg to dispatch two Beggar Gang Disciples to watch over her. On their turf, his people, it wasn’t possible for outsiders to bully them, right?
