100 Days Of Escaping My Wedding-Chapter 162: No One Forced Me
Chapter 162: Chapter 162: No One Forced Me
Watching Qin Yao’s retreating figure, Gong Hannian sneered with disdain on her face, "Hmm, after all, he’s the one you once loved so deeply. Gong Xiaoqiao, I wonder if seeing him like this would make your heart ache?" Gong Hannian smirked as she looked in the direction Qin Yao had left.
"Xiao Rou, sorry, but after all, ’every man for himself, and the devil takes the hindmost’..."
...
The next morning.
A new set of clothes lay on the bed, breakfast was served on the table, and Gu Hangshen sat silently on the sofa, reading the newspaper and drinking coffee.
Gong Xiaoqiao changed into her clothes, washed up, and sat down quietly at the dining table to eat breakfast, but she lost her appetite after only a few bites.
"I’ve finished eating," Gong Xiaoqiao put down her chopsticks.
Gu Hangshen glanced at the barely touched breakfast without a word, picked up his coat, and left the house, with Gong Xiaoqiao following behind.
In the car, Gu Hangshen drove in silence without uttering a word, while Gong Xiaoqiao turned her head and looked out of the window, also remaining silent.
Just then, a car recklessly charged directly towards them as if on a suicide mission.
A glint of cold light flashed in Gu Hangshen’s eyes as he quickly stepped on the brakes.
Gong Xiaoqiao, due to inertia, was thrown forward and anxiously asked, "What’s going on?"
Gu Hangshen’s car came to a halt, but the other car didn’t stop and crashed heavily into the front of their car.
Gu Hangshen had already quickly taken off his coat to shield Gong Xiaoqiao completely; the next moment, the shattered car window glass came crashing down.
Through the broken window, Gu Hangshen’s chilling gaze shot straight at the man in the other car.
"Gu Hangshen, Gu Hangshen, are you alright?" Gong Xiaoqiao frantically lifted the coat and saw Gu Hangshen’s cheek and exposed arms had small cuts from the glass shards.
Gu Hangshen immediately covered his wounds with his coat, "I’m fine, get out of the car."
Gong Xiaoqiao followed Gu Hangshen out of the car, and the man from the other car also got out at the same time.
Seeing the man’s eyes filled with extreme rage and despairing sorrow, Gong Xiaoqiao froze, murmuring, "Qin Yao..."
Qin Yao too had cuts on his body, but more seriously, the gunshot wound on his arm from before had reopened and was profusely bleeding.
His complexion was pale as snow, his lips cracked, his hair in disarray, hardly resembling his usual fresh appearance. If it weren’t for those eyes, Gong Xiaoqiao would hardly recognize him...
The sight of the bright red blood made Gong Xiaoqiao feel dizzy, and Gu Hangshen hurriedly supported her.
Qin Yao quietly looked at her, the corners of his mouth curling up as he forced a slow smile, "Xiaoqiao, I’m here to take you away..."
"Sorry for making you wait so long..." He stretched out his hand toward her, quietly waiting for her response.
Gu Hangshen felt his heart leap into his throat, but the next moment, he felt Gong Xiaoqiao’s head buried in his chest, holding his hand.
She didn’t look at Qin Yao and said, "I won’t go with you."
Gu Hangshen breathed a sigh of relief yet did not let his guard down completely.
"Why? Is it because they’re forcing you?" Qin Yao looked hurt and asked urgently.
Gong Xiaoqiao: "No one is forcing me."
Qin Yao: "How’s that possible! Is it Gu Hangshen..."
Gong Xiaoqiao interrupted him, her voice full of scorn, "Qin Yao, do you still not understand? From the beginning, I was deceiving you."
Qin Yao’s voice trembled, "Xiaoqiao, what are you saying?"
Gong Xiaoqiao spoke with a detached expression, "From the moment I knew you were coming back to the country, I had already begun planning."
Gu Hangshen’s eyes flickered slightly, also looking at Gong Xiaoqiao with some astonishment.
