Married For Now
Chapter 284: GOSSIP
"THANK GOODNESS it didn’t leave a scar."
"And I’m glad that the burns aren’t severe."
Cho Euntak smiled and nodded at what Hong Sera and Park Sohee said.
He met up with his favorite hyung and noona in the student lounge room.
Anyways...
After a week, the first-degree burn that he got had completely healed. Thankfully, it didn’t leave a permanent scar. After all, the burns weren’t severe.
"I’m sure Baek Jeho is relieved," Park Sohee commented. "He would probably wreak havoc if the burns left a permanent scar. Not because he’s vain, but because he’ll always be reminded by the incident that caused you harm. I’m sure he would sue the café to oblivion had your burns not healed properly."
Right?
Baek Jeho is protective like that.
"Did you get proper compensation from both Kim Minjae and the café?" Park Sohee asked. "I know it wasn’t really their fault. But since it happened at their café, they should still offer you compensation. It doesn’t matter whether the burn is severe or not."
"Don’t worry, Hyung. Kim Minjae-ssi handed me monetary compensation, and he told me that the café also wanted to give me compensation," Cho Euntak explained. "Father-in-law called me and made me talk to Kim Minjae-ssi, then Kim Minjae-ssi asked me if he could give my number to the café owner. I agreed, and then the café owner really called me. In fact, I’m going to the café with Baek Jeho later."
"Just accept the compensation," Park Sohee said. "They’ll be more careful that way."
"Yes, Hyung. I’m planning to accept the compensation. If it’s money, then I’ll donate it again."
"Very well."
"Euntak-ah, now that we know that the café owner is a friend of Uncle Jaedong’s mistress, we’ll understand if you don’t want to go there anymore," Hong Sera said carefully. "Sure, Unreal is a special place to us. But your feelings are more important."
"No, it’s alright, Noona. I still want to continue going to that café since it’s a special hangout place for us. We’ve given birth to a lot of brilliant ideas there."
Park Sohee and Hong Sera laughed softly at Cho Euntak’s choice of words.
"Baek Jeho is also fine with it," Cho Euntak assured his hyung and noona. "He said I don’t have to be considerate of him."
"Oh? Baek Jeho said that?" Park Sohee asked in disbelief. "That punk has matured."
"That’s the power of love, Oppa," Hong Sera said, and then she looked at Cho Euntak teasingly. "Euntakie, Baek Jeho seems to be crazy about you." 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
"He better be," Cho Euntak said jokingly. "I want Baek Jeho to worship me."
He was obviously joking.
So, he wondered why Park Sohee and Hong Sera suddenly fell silent while looking past him.
Oh, no.
Cho Euntak remembered that Baek Jeho said he’d pick him up at the student lounge.
He’s behind me, isn’t he?
"Ah, I guess I need to express my love for you even more, huh?"
Aigoo.
Cho Euntak got up and tried to bolt out of the room because of embarrassment, but Baek Jeho simply grabbed him by the waist while laughing.
"Don’t tease me!"
"I won’t," Baek Jeho said, still grinning, though. Then he wrapped an arm around Cho Euntak’s shoulders before kissing him on his temple. "But, Euntak-ah, you know that I’m completely devoted to you, right?"
Aigoo.
Their group wasn’t the only one in the student lounge at the moment.
And the other students were watching them with interest.
Ah, they probably just confirmed that Baek Jeho and I are really dating.
Cho Euntak bowed in Park Sohee and Hong Sera’s direction, and then he quickly pulled Baek Jeho out of the student lounge.
We’ll definitely be the center of a new rumor soon!

[BREAKING NEWS: The Baek Jeho is dating again— and he’s dating a male Alpha this time!]
Aigoo.
Cho Euntak couldn’t help but read the gossip article about Baek Jeho.
It was posted on the university’s official student website.
Baek Jeho was one of the most famous students in the university, so it was only natural that the post immediately garnered hundreds of views and comments.
>I honestly thought Baek Jeho only dated girls...
>And he has never dated an Alpha before.
>Cho Euntak must be special then.
>To be fair, Cho Euntak doesn’t look like an Alpha.
>I thought Cho Euntak was an Omega.
"Euntak-ah, stop reading those stupid comments," Baek Jeho said nervously. "Ignore them. I already asked the school admin to take down the post."
"You’re really famous, Jeho-ya."
Baek Jeho only flinched.
Cho Euntak ignored his boyfriend and continued scrolling through the comments.
Right now, the two of them were having a date in Unreal Café.
They already met the café owner— Jung Ha— who was the same age as Kim Minjae.
Jung Ha apologized and bowed his head to Cho Euntak, and then handed him monetary compensation. Plus, Cho Euntak was now entitled to one free iced coffee and one dessert every time he was in the café.
He didn’t want to accept the latter, but the café owner insisted.
>Baek Jeho is famous for his short-term relationships, though. Wanna bet how long his relationship with Cho Euntak will last? Baek Jeho seems pretty serious this time, so I’m betting six months.
>>1 month
>>>why so short?
>>>>they’re both Alphas, so I can’t imagine Baek Jeho settling with Cho Euntak forever. I mean, it’s a shame if Baek Jeho’s bloodline ends with him. He has such good genes. It’s a waste to stay with a fellow Alpha who can’t give him a biological child.
Ouch.
The last comment affected Cho Euntak negatively, so he put down his phone.
"Did you read something bad?" Baek Jeho asked worriedly, but his face looked serious as if he were ready to sue someone. "Tell me. I’ll track them down and sue them to oblivion."
As expected.
When Baek Jeho grabbed his own phone as if to pick a fight to the people who commented on the post, Cho Euntak grabbed his arm. "It’s alright, Jeho-ya. I don’t feel bad. I’m just amazed at how popular you are."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I’m really fine."
Baek Jeho held Cho Euntak’s hand, kissing his knuckles without breaking eye contact. "Tell me if the comments bother you. I’ll seriously hunt down those bastards and make them pay for spreading bullshit."
Pfft.
Cho Euntak smiled, truly feeling better now. "Jeho-ya."
"Yes, Euntak-ah?"
"Should we go on a date this weekend?"
Baek Jeho’s face instantly beamed. "Yes, let’s do that."
Cho Euntak smiled, pleased with his boyfriend’s enthusiastic response.
Maybe it’s time to use his limitless card.
But, of course, there just had to be obstacles first...
