Heavenly Harem: Raising My Disciple With Infinite Dual Cultivation
Chapter 90: | Four Mountain Sovereign Dragon Formation
Cao Ying clearly saw Lin Tian fly from the rocky hill to the front of the Lingxian Sect. Curious about his abilities, the woman decided to follow him.
When she arrived beside Lin Tian, she saw him forming a series of complex and intricate formation hand seals. White qi light shot out from the first rune that Lin Tian successfully activated, bringing forth the Four Earth Winds Formation. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
The sect’s spiritual qi began projecting four mountains in the four cardinal directions. Cao Ying clearly witnessed the manifestation of the formation. It was unique and carried a mysterious aura.
Even so, Cao Ying had no idea how powerful the Four Earth Winds Formation would become when combined with the Lingxian Sect’s White Dragon Formation.
Lin Tian watched as the first formation activated successfully, creating the projection of powerful mountains. The rune continued rotating clockwise around its axis.
But Lin Tian did not stop there. He formed a second formation seal and directed the Lingxian Sect White Dragon Formation rune into the Four Earth Winds Formation rune.
As he focused on merging the two Earth-Grade formations, a powerful qi explosion erupted, sending waves of spiritual qi turbulence throughout the area.
The disciples inside the sect were affected as well. They woke from their sleep and stepped outside while clutching their chests in discomfort.
"Take them outside, Cao Ying."
"Understood," the woman replied.
She stepped forward swiftly, moving from the sky before the sect directly into its grounds. With a series of rapid flashes, she successfully transported the Lingxian Sect disciples out one by one.
Another explosion of spiritual qi forced Lin Tian to step back as he felt the turbulence within his dantian. Cao Ying managed to save everyone before activating a protective dome to shield them from the effects of the fusion between the two Earth-Grade formations.
Ya Fei realized what Lin Tian was doing. She walked forward and asked Cao Ying,
"Is Master Lin activating the protective barrier again?" Ya Fei asked.
"Not just activating it, but strengthening it," Cao Ying replied. "He’s merging two Earth-Grade formations into a single complete formation."
"Merging formations?!" Ya Fei exclaimed in shock.
She had never imagined such a concept existed, much less that it could be done. At first, she believed formations could only be used individually and never fused together. However, it became clear that her understanding of formations and arrays was still far below Lin Tian’s.
Lin Tian continued strengthening his spiritual qi while focusing on connecting the components of the two runes. He had only one goal: ensuring that the runes from the two different formations merged perfectly into a single complete rune.
"Fusion of two formations... activated!"
The man finally watched as the formations merged into one. A powerful burst of spiritual qi erupted. The dragon and mountains fused together while fierce winds roared through the area.
Lin Tian was pushed several feet backward as the powerful winds struck his body. Meanwhile, Cao Ying continued protecting the other disciples from the aftermath.
The fusion process was complete.
What appeared before Lin Tian now was an entirely different formation. A white dragon circled through the wind mountains positioned in the four cardinal directions.
No such formation had ever appeared in the records of the cultivation world. Lin Tian had become the first person to successfully create one.
The spiritual qi explosions gradually subsided and disappeared. Cao Ying deactivated the protective qi wall and looked toward the sky. Through her eyes, she witnessed something astonishing.
"I never expected the fusion of two formations to create a Heaven-Grade formation," Cao Ying praised.
"Neither did I. I thought it would remain Earth-Grade, but its quality improved as well," Lin Tian replied.
"With this, no cultivator below Soul Formation will be able to destroy this formation."
"What is it called?" Cao Ying asked.
Lin Tian fell silent for a moment. His eyes remained fixed on the white dragon and the four mountains. After thinking for quite some time, he finally found the perfect name.
"Lingxian Formation: Four Mountain Sovereign Dragon!"
"That’s a good name. Do you mind if I test it?" Cao Ying asked.
Lin Tian turned and nodded.
Using Cao Ying, an Early Soul Formation cultivator, to test the sect’s formation was the right choice. However, he still warned her to remain cautious.
Besides its improved quality, the formation combined the defensive mechanisms of the Four Direction Wind Mountain Formation with the offensive mechanisms of the Lingxian Sect White Dragon Formation.
Its power was clearly anything but ordinary.
Cao Ying understood the consequences.
She flew into the sky and formed a technique seal. A fiery red rune appeared behind her back, releasing a blazing fire spear that shot toward the formation.
The sect’s formation wall activated and lit up. Four mountains emerged from the ground, guarding the sect from four different directions.
Lin Tian and the other disciples watched the formation’s effects. The four mountains continuously transferred spiritual qi to whichever mountain was struck by an enemy attack, greatly increasing its strength and durability.
ROAR!
From the center of the mountains, a gigantic white dragon emerged.
Its body was no longer composed merely of projected qi. Instead, it had begun forming a real dragon through the condensation of powerful spiritual qi.
The white dragon raised its enormous head and unleashed white flames forward, striking Cao Ying’s blazing fire spear and destroying it within moments.
"What? That fast?!" Cao Ying exclaimed in shock.
The dragon opened its mouth again and unleashed another stream of white flames, this time targeting Cao Ying directly.
The shocked woman could clearly sense that the power behind the dragon’s flame attack far exceeded her expectations.
She quickly formed another technique seal and summoned a wall of molten lava before her body.
The towering lava wall stretched upward and blocked the dragon’s white flame breath. Even so, Cao Ying was forced backward while resisting its overwhelming power.
Lin Tian finally understood the strength of his new sect formation.
He raised his hand to chest level and activated white qi light at his fingertips.
With that simple gesture, he stopped the formation from attacking Cao Ying.
The white dragon immediately ceased its breath attack and returned to the mountain crater, coiling its body before falling asleep.
The four mountains sank back into the earth and transformed once more into a normal qi formation wall.
Cao Ying felt relieved that Lin Tian had intervened.
The lava wall gradually faded away, and Cao Ying appeared exhausted. Lin Tian arrived before her and checked her condition.
"The power of this formation is no joke. At the very least, its offensive strength is comparable to a Mid Soul Formation cultivator."
I didn’t expect its power to increase this much.
"Among all the sects, the Lingxian Sect will become the only sect with such a powerful formation. It might even be stronger than the three major sects of the Qin Sect Alliance."
"I did this to provide safety for the Lingxian Sect and my disciples. I’m relieved now that the formation has proven its strength," Lin Tian replied.
He turned and instructed Cao Ying to rest while telling the other disciples to return to their dormitories.
They listened and obeyed.
An Yue stopped walking and turned around just as she passed through the sect’s formation barrier.
After witnessing the test, she felt relieved knowing that the Lingxian Sect was once again protected by a powerful formation.
Her attention shifted forward toward Lin Tian, who was still floating in the sky.
She was happy that Lin Tian had acted quickly to solve the weakness of the sect’s previous formation.
Now she and the other disciples had a safe place to call home, the only home they had, protected by a powerful formation that even Cao Ying, a Soul Formation cultivator, found difficult to overcome.
"Master Lin," An Yue called.
Lin Tian turned toward her.
"What is it, Yue’er?"
"Thank you... for doing your best for the sect and all of us," she said softly.
"Of course, Yue’er. I did it because I don’t want to see the Lingxian Sect destroyed or any of you hurt," Lin Tian replied.
An Yue smiled and nodded before saying goodbye and returning to her dormitory.
However, among all of them, Lin Tian’s attention remained fixed ahead.
There stood Wu Yue in front of the sect’s main hall entrance.
Her eyes were locked onto Lin Tian, as though she were waiting for him to fulfill his promise.
The man fell silent before letting out a soft sigh.
Whether he wanted to or not, he had to discuss the sect’s secret technique with Wu Yue.
