Chasing Back His Beloved Beast Husbands
Chapter 47-Losing control
The dragon’s immediately triggered a suppressing formation above Nytherael. Samahita flew out to help reinforce it and was later joined by Theren, Rhysandor, and Nerezza.
With their forces united, the formation grew stronger, but it only scratched the surface of Nytherael’s essence.
Feeling the countering force, his self-defense mode triggered a forceful backlash that not only tore apart the suppressing formation but sent every beast flying a mile away.
The civil aviation broke out into panicked cries. They picked themselves up, and without time to lick the wounds the strike inflicted on them, they made a run for it.
The League of dragons picked themselves up and dusted off their clothes, and wiped the blood on their faces. It was their first time encountering an attack that powerful and forceful.
"Princess!" Theren rushed over to Samahita and pulled her to her feet.
The strike that Nytherael’s body sent out had forced her body to involuntarily shift back to human form. Her core had taken a dire hit.
"Are you alright?"
Samahita pulled herself together. She bit her tongue and acted like she was fine. Deep down, her soul shook, finally understanding the reason that despite her father hating Nytherael to the core, he never moved against him directly. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
The power of a nine level beast was terrifying, and that was only the tip of the power since Nytherael’s wasn’t in his right mind to attack them directly.
Now, she came to the realization that Nytherael’s human form, his meek act and weak appearance fooled most beasts into forgetting that he stood at the top of the hierarchy and could only be rivalled by his lovers.
"I’m fine," she managed weakly.
"We are fine too," Nerezza complained once Rhysandor pulled her up.
"I was going to check on you," Theren let out a guilty expression.
"When? After you confirmed that the traitor Princess was alright?"
"Nerezza!" Rhysandor scolded her. He examined her injuries and made a decision. They couldn’t stay there.
With Nytherael out of control, the range of his subconscious attacks would extend soon, and their cores were already badly hurt. They were in condition to fight him or play hero.
"Let’s leave first," he suggested, and without waiting for Nerezza to argue or insist on staying, he followed Aenyra’s lead, grabbed her hands, and flew away.
The commander heard the form of address and frowned. "A Princess? Are you royalty?" He asked.
He hadn’t received any notice that a royal convoy of any sort would be passing by. Redrark was far from the capital, too far away for any royal of any clan to wonder into without reason.
"Yes, I am Princess Samahita Vaelthorne," she introduced herself.
The League of Dragon quickly knelt down and saluted her. "Hail the divine princess!"
"May you remain beautiful and eternal!"
Princess Samahita waved their greeting off and helped the commander to his feet. "This isn’t the time for formalities."
"Yes, you are right."
The commander got to his feet and stared at the distance. His soldiers had been blown away, and the arena was nothing more than a pile of broken stones and dust.
The beast responsible was invisible in the mess around the area where the arena once existed. They couldn’t assess the damages since they were yet to immobilise the beast.
He could feel the range of the force extending. Their safe distance wasn’t going to be safe for long. Soon, the beast’s power would extend to them and either send them flying away again or crash them.
His eyes darted behind him. Just a mile back was the town. Many innocent beasts called the town home. There was not enough time on hand to evacuate the whole town. The best option to handle the problem was to find a way for the beast to stop its attacks.
"Your royal highness, do you mind looping us in on what we are up against?" He inquired, knowing his enemy would help come up with a good defence.
Samahita inhaled and exhaled with a heaviness in her chest. The beast this time wasn’t easy to handle, and she feared they weren’t a match for him.
"Nytherael Auryn!" Her voice dropped, shattering the commander’s confidence and resolution to handle the mess.
There wasn’t a single soul in Lume dynasty and beyond that wasn’t aware of the name Nytherael Auryn, the famed nine-tailed fox from the tales of the famous tri-soul mate bond.
The most powerful fox beast in the land, not to mention the husband of the most powerful dragon and the most terrifying snake. The three were a force that sent shivers down beasts all across the realm.
The commander swallowed the saliva in his mouth. His eyes darted back to the dust storm forming in the area where Nytherael was. He shook.
In the arrogance of his perfect record of maintaining peace in his territory, he’d overestimated himself and thought he could take on the trouble maker this time without knowing.
He looked back at Princess Samahita for a solution. "How do we stop him. At this rate, he’s going to destroy the town, and if it doesn’t end there, it will be another apocalypse like..." he bit his tongue lest his curses himself and summons the apocalypse to arrive.
"You mean a year and a half ago when Sseraphis unleashed his power onto the land?" Samahita asked, understanding his train of thought.
The commander nodded. For some reason, the high-ranking beasts were determined to wipe the lesser beings off the surface of the earth and prove they were supreme.
Just as the world was starting to get back a new normal with Sseraphis’ curses and poisons still running amok, Nytherael had arrived with his attack.
"I wish I had an answer for you, but..."
"Samahita," Theren nudged her arm.
Samahita turned to see what he wanted and found him captivatedly staring ahead, so she followed suit. The scene that she witnessed made the blood in her veins run colder than usual.
Amidst the dust storm, a pinkish light was glowing, getting bigger and bigger with the passing second.
"Which of his tail power is that?" She questioned, her soul chilling.
Upon a closer look, Theren recognized it instantly as from records of the nine-tailed fox. They indicated his tail powers along with the colour they showed when they activated.
"The white if I am right, it’s the shadow step teleportation!"
"Pink is for memory distortion!" Samahita added.
"We are doomed!" The commander announced, sweating buckets.
