This evolution was interesting in every way but he wasn’t sure about its future. Still in thought, Alaric looked at the organ and clicked on it...

’Well... I wanted to increase my defense capabilities but not at the expense of the shadow...’ Alaric thought as he read and understood the description of Obsidian Sentinel.

It wasn’t that he was disappointed to see the evolution... no he was happy that the cosmos had considered his aspect of being a guardian.

It was just that Alaric understood the limitations of this one

He was aware that Dhruv did not need his protection... not when he himself was weaker than him.

Master didn’t need protection but speed. A speed that he can provide with his shadow. It would be better if there was a good in-between these two things, but if not...

Alaric would always go the speed route. Shaking his head, he clicked on the organ.

Understanding the description of the evolution, a smile appeared on Alaric’s face. And why would there not be a smile when this evolution has everything he needs?

’With this evolution, I can further excel in shadow manipulation. There was a significant increase in stats as well...’ he thought quite happy with the rewards.

It wasn’t all either... being a Dark Acolyte, he gained an affinity for darkness as well.

All in all, Alaric was quite happy with the evolution. If the epic one doesn’t bring something spectacular, this is going to be his choice.

"Let’s see what you have to offer..." Whispering these words, he clicked on the organ.

Reading all this... Alaric didn’t know what to say at first. Calming himself down he tried understanding it all.

"I mean... it isn’t ranked as Epic without any reason..." Alaric muttered, understanding that there was no reason for him to think any further.

I mean... what even was there to consider? Everything was perfect... down to the last detail. There was nothing more he could ask for.

Smiling ear to ear, he looked at both organs and clicked on them.

"Increasing my endurance... not bad at all..." Alaric thought as he looked at everything once again. When everything was as it should be, he confirmed the evolution and moved to the next part of it.

And with that, tens of panels opened all around him. Looking at each of them, his curiosity was only getting larger and larger. Controlling them, the very first thing he did was to check how much evolution energy he had gotten.

"Well... there is plenty to use..." Cracking his imaginary knuckles, he began customizing himself.
